I normally do not write reviews on places but had to for Jack Anthony Salon. I have been going there for several years and the salon went from Great to Greater. The atmosphere is beautiful and changes with the Seasons. The talented staff makes you feel that you are in great hands whoever you get. From the Front Desk Reception to the Shampoo Sink to the Colorist and of course Jack Anthony himself. The team there is Amazing, Talented and Consistent. If this is not enough the Staff is also extremely sincere and kind to the clients and each other. I travel about 45 minutes to get there but it is truly my pleasure. A truly beautiful, pleasant and professional hair salon. Obviously a trip to the salon for any woman is a pleasurable experience but Jack Anthony's is top-notch. When you walk in, the receptionist Debbie, is always so delightful and pleasant but more importantly, she's very organized and can tell she keeps things running very fluid around the salon. Jack is a very hands-on owner who welcomes everyone with a warm smile and always displays professionalism and appreciation of your business. Liz is my colorist and shes truly great at what she does. She listens and goes over real expectations with you and helps you achieve the look your going for. Ive never left unhappy or disappointed as she's always happy to correct whatever you feel is off. Cheryl is incredible with haircuts, she's always keeping up with trends and styles. My sister went to Cheryl to fix a bad cut she had received at another salon and now she won't go anywhere else. Dora is the best with extensions. She's great with color matching and the best length/size to help you achieve the look you're going for. Rachel and Tiffany at the sinks are awesome. They both give great shampoo massages and I don't leave there with my clothes soaking wet! They're so friendly and sweet and work so hard. I have had the pleasure of going to Jack Anthony Salon for about 2 years. Upon the recommendation of my two best friends since childhood. After years of jumping from salon to salon never feeling comfortable or satisfied in the work I was getting. Well I have finally found my home. Every visit I am welcomed by every member of the staff and made to feel as if I am part of their family. Debbie the receptionist is one of the sweetest funniest people I have met always greeting me with a smile and a good chat while I wait. Jackie my colorist is amazing. Not only is the quality of her work better than I have ever had before in my life but when I am in her chair I feel as if I am chatting with a good friend who always has my best interest at heart with her recommendations. I also have two daughters ages 9 and 12 and I have begun to bring them to the salon as well. They LOVE it there! Dora takes such good care of them every time they come in. She makes them both look absolutely beautiful every visit and she chats with each of them and makes them feel special and unique in her chair. Tiffany and Rachel give the most amazing washes, again I can honestly say that I have never had such amazing scalp massages before I sat in their chairs for a wash. This is the theme of the experience at Jack Anthony, you are pampered and given the highest quality of service in every chair you sit in. And then there is Jack... words can't even describe how wonderful of a person he is. He genuinely cares about every single person that comes into the salon and truly wants to make the experience memorable every time for each and every person. He is the consummate professional but also makes you feel like you are his oldest dearest friend. He has the highest attention to detail I have ever seen and he manages to transform my hair into something spectacular every time I am in. Recently I turned 40 and I was thrown a 80's theme party and not only did he complete my transformation but the whole staff helped me get ready and make sure every detail of my outfit was perfect. Worst experience of my life, I wanted to tone down the brassiness in my hair and I am NOT a hair expert so I mistakenly trusted a hair stylist at this salon. I am so depressed about my hair it will not stop falling out and I can barely leave my house now I had to cut most of my hair off they should not even be in business!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My hair is ruined I will provide pictures of what my beautiful hair looked like days before and what it currently looks like it's not even hair anymore you shouldn't call yourself a hair salon if you butcher people's hair if I could sue you for emotional damage I honestly would this is one of the worst experiences of my life. read more

What a lovely place! And let me tell you, they are hard to find. I was with the same gal for years before she retired and the salon closed. I have spent the better part of two years looking for another salon that I like. Two other salons in the Smithtown/St James area were absolute disasters(nasty reception/forgetting about their clients/overbooking/rude). I am tickled pink that I have found Nancy @ Jack Anthony. The moment I walked I got a good feeling. The atmosphere is easy, friendly and clean, and I was greeted with a friendliness I greatly appreciated after having dealt with less than friendly receptionists in two prior salons I went to in the past year. I was trying to find a nice salon, neat, attentive and caring and I found it here. Nancy was recommended to me by a good friend, who has been with Jack Anthony for 15 years.
