3 piece chicken tenders and black n white shake
JJ C.

The place was formerly PDQ chicken, the ambiance is typical fast food, comfortable and clean. Friendly staff for the most part. Accuracy is an issue here, the employees seem to forget something or give the wrong item at this location. The food the chicken tenders are big compared to most places. The breading was ok, nothing mind blowing. Seems the elites have been gushing just to gush. The fries were soggy despite asking for them well done or double cooked. Definitely not the best fries anywhere. Didn't bother taking a photo cause they were sad. The shake was meh, nothing mind blowing bad, but not great either just middle of the road. The buttermilk ranch was good a solid ranch not a standout but solid in flavor. Overall opinion: good for a quick bite, prices are ok they have some deals but make sure to ask for them specifically cause the staff won't tell you and will charge you the higher price. If they focused more and put a little more effort in would be a 4 star place but this experience was as middle the road as it gets.

Garden salad with all dressing options on side

Garden salad is pretty good. With crispy chicken and fresh vegetable toppings was a good pairing on a hot day

Food- 4/5 well seasoned! Tried the chicken tenders fries and grilled cheese. Tasted as expected. Fries well seasoned just a tad salty for my preference. Tenders were PERFECT. Sweet tea not as sweet as I preferred yet still tasty! BBQ and honey mustard sauces SO GOOD! Service - 5/5 Associates very helpful, kind, and great attitudes! Ambiance- reminded me of the place there prior (PDQs) . Anyhow, just fine, clean, spacious 2 thumbs up, would recommend if you're in the mood for tasty fast food. Will return!

That place is closed on Sunday has good sauces, but this chick meets that match very well

I seriously crave these fries and tenders. Had to get back here tonight. Get the large combo and live well!

Tenders tossed in Buffalo
Daniel B.

Stopped in for lunch - the rebrand has led to some great new menu options that I'm excited to try in the future. I had the tenders tossed in Buffalo, and my girlfriend had them crispy with sauce on the side. The French fries were absolutely delicious - so crispy and perfect. The tenders, considering we ordered them "crispy" were a bit soggy - both those tossed in sauce and those not. If they were crispier, it really would've been a slam dunk.

This was the first time trying this place since the rebrand. take sandwiches are very big and filling. The fries are crinkled similar to shake shack and kind of too white but had decent flavor.

Real chicken tenders with French fries.

Food was fresh to order and seasoned well. Manger took my order and a very nice young lady brought my food to the table. Restaurant was spotless. The soda machine was limited on choices even though it indicated many choices. Manger needs to trust fellow employees to take orders instead of doing it for the counter and drive through. Also need to print on boxes it's logo and address. Also same goes for store receipt.

Stopped in while shopping around for a quick bite. Chicken sandwich was dry and the fries were terrible. The workers were pleasant!

I've been going to the locations in the city before but I'm so glad they opened one up here. The drinks were delicious we tried the watermelon margarita, passionfruit sour, virgin Pina colada, and brisa de Lima. Made very well. For apps we got the grilled octopus and Nikkei ceviche. The grilled octopus came with two delightful sauces and some grilled mini potatoes. It was tender and flavorful. The Nikkei was like Peruvian tuna poke but I wish it was a little less salty. For mains we went all out. We got the matador combo and an arroz con mariscos and a full platter of jalea. It was enough food for 6 people with quite a bit left over. One of the standouts we never expected was the seafood rice.. the sauce it came in was rich and complex and creamy. Not like a paella, more like a risotto.. that was finished quickly everyone loved it. For the matador combo it is a huge amount of food. The chicken was standout juicy and came with a ton of sides like avocado salad, rice and beans, tostones, and salchipapas and fries. It was all really good and can fill up your party. The other fun food was the jalea, it's a fried mix seafood platter. I enjoyed the seafood used they had a mix of white fish, baby squid, calamari, clams, and yucca fries, all drizzled with this light but umami filled criolla salsa, which is a mix of red onions corn garlic and yumminess. Everyone was stuffed. Finally we had cake that I night and the cappuccinos we ordered were good as well. And the bill wasn't too crazy for 6 people with drinks. The only annoying part was that the roof was a bit drippy it rained and I felt occasionally drips of water on my head..

The lomo saltado is also very good and flavorful. Not pictured is camarones cuzco. Its an amazing shrimp dish in a aji amarillo sauce. The service can be slow when its busy. It also gets very loud.

As the name suggests, this place Slaps!…read more I stopped by Slappin Chick in Hicksville for a quick fried chicken fix and walked away pretty satisfied. The chicken is crispy on the outside with good flavor, and you can actually taste the seasoning. I went with a medium heat level and it had a nice kick without completely destroying my taste buds. Perfect for what I was craving. I ordered the Hot Chicken Tenders with Fries, Mango Habanero Wings, and Garlic Parmesan Wings at Slappin Chick and overall had a really good meal. The Hot Chicken Tenders were crispy, juicy, and packed solid flavor with a nice heat level that built up without being overwhelming. The fries were decent and worked well as a side. This was the highlight of the night! Highly recommended. The wings were ok but i felt like it was more bones and skin than actual meat. These must have been some really small chickens. Their signature Slappin sauce is addictive (I ended up putting it on everything). Give it a try. Dont skip out. Solid spot. Would recommend it if you're in the mood for hot crispy chicken.

The flavors are good but it didn't have the spice it advertised. The Mac and cheese is most likely kraft mac and cheese, which is wild for them to charge $5 for a small cup of it. The restaurant was empty, on a Saturday at 1pm, like empty, nobody taking out and nobody dining in.

Pollo Campero expanding with this very spacious bright location…read more It's all about the chicken and being able to select your Crispy deliciously seasoned Breast, Drums, Thighs. Can't compare this with fast food locations like Popeyes, but can draw similarities to say an old school Boston Market that no longer really exists on L.I. You get an option of a side or a few but more homey to the Latin cultural roots of this chain. Therefore instead of ordering say mashed potatoes you can order Yuca Fries :) which are a healthier version believe or not, with just a slightly starcher root vegetable texture. On this outing to try the new location we opted for the 2 piece Drum Thigh with one side (slaw) drink and dinner roll, and added two Breasts and the Yuca Fries. All were made hot and fresh and served to our table by a friendly counter server, family style in large festive plate (w/side plates, disposable utensils). The flavorful chicken was great, yuca fries yummy and the slaw was definitely worth trying since their recipe tastes different than others. Pricing was more than fair for what we ordered, and I would consider definitely going back to try more of their menu items, as well as recommending others to give them a try. If you're not in this area to give them a try, I believe you can spot them at Penn Station. ;)

The meal includes 8 pieces of leg and thigh, 4 rolls, and 2 sides--we chose yucca fries and mac & cheese. I had takeout from a previous Yelp event, so I didn't expect dine-in service, but they gave us a table number and brought the food out to us. They also provided melamine plates, which was a nice surprise and made the meal feel more dine-in than fast-casual. When I the staff member about takeout containers, she misunderstood and immediately brought them over with a bag--honestly, super helpful. Service was outstanding. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious. The chicken was crispy and full of flavor. My son loved the yucca fries and rolls. I especially enjoyed the mac & cheese and chicken. We also tried the jamaica and horchata drinks (not included in the meal), and both were excellent. I wish I had a Pollo Campero near me--but maybe it's for the best, or I'd be here all the time!

I've had the chicken before from their Bayside and Plainview locations, and they were good but this EM location was albeit disappointing. The breading was too heavy especially on the drums, masking the soy garlic flavor of the meat itself making them taste rather bland & dry than crispy with a juicy interior. The fries were pretty decent- coated with truffle oil that wasn't overpowering & topped with plenty of parmesan cheese. I think they should've separated the salad from the wings in a large sauce cup or smth bc half the lettuce was soggy in the box. Overall, not bad but wouldn't order from this location again.
