This was a delightfully different experience! I found the mild spice level to be just right, hitting that sweet spot without being overpowering. The service was also decent.

SCAMMY "banana" pudding that doesn't have ANY banana in it. I called up and they said they don't put bananas in it nor does it have any banana flavor . What?! So why do you call it that? Just call it pudding? Very misleading. It just tastes like whip cream with soggy cookies.

Unfortunately business has changed and is under new ownership. The food used to be HMS certified meaning they used to follow Hand slaughter meat protocol. And used to under go surprise monthly inspections. NO LONGER SUITABLE FOR MUSLIMS TO EAT! Very unfortunate since there are few spots in LI that are Zabiha halal.

We ordered the #1 slappin plate which was 2 Sliders w/Seasoned Fries, Slaw, & Pickles, the #5 mac & cheese bowl with hot tenders, & (not pictured) the oreo pudding. All of it was delicious (especially the oreo pudding) & the servers recommendations were so on point! If you want comfort food this is the place!

First time at slappin chick. Chicken tenders were outstanding. Delicious, Juicy, and the sauce they give you on the side is fantastic. I recommend asking for honey on the side. Food was fast and very affordable.

First time trying Slappin Chick and the presentation was A1!!! However, the taste of the food didn't live up to the looks. It was okay, mediocre. It tasted more like a powdery seasoning in my mouth. The fries were mushy & the chicken wasn't spicy at all. However, their slappin sauce is delicious. I don't know if I will visit again but it is a good atmosphere.

I don't want to be "that guy" but I've been to Nashville. I've had Nashville style chicken, this is not Nashville chicken. It's not Nashville Style chicken, not even the spirit of Nashville Hot Chicken. In Nashville, they take a juicy piece of freshly fried chicken and toss it in a kicked up oil. What is served to you is a juicy piece of chicken that's often imitated but not duplicated. Slappin' Chicken did not duplicate Nashville Hot Chicken. But Oh is it hot! I walked into a strange, stark looking restaurant with a few tables. Looking at the menu choices, I chose one tender and one slider with fries. I added a can of Coke and the total price was $18 bucks. What the counter person brought to my table was interesting. Two big chicken tenders rolled into a dry, spicy rub. I ordered medium heat and boy did it get me. I was tearing up half way thru. The fries are also seasoned with spicy dry rub. Overall, nice fresh chicken tenders rolled in some heat. Is this Hicksville style chicken? I came looking for Nashville chicken. I'm just passing thru, I don't frequent Hicksville so I will not be returning.

Oh, this place is good, like, really good! I had seen a lot of rumblings about this spot on Instagram and decided on a cold Friday night to try it out. There wasn't a line when we arrived, however, they had several takeout orders on their way out and a man taking non-stop calls for new orders. They only offer 4 items - tenders and fries, slide and fries, tender & slider combo w/ fries, and loaded fries. It's a small menu but they do it well. The spice scale also goes from country style which is based fried chicken to Slappin+ which is HOT HOT HOT! I decided to try the tender combo at the hot level. After about 10 minutes our food was ready to go and we took it home to eat. Upon seeing it I could immediately tell this was real deal Nashville fried chicken (I've been to Nashville and knew what to look for). The chicken was fried to perfection with the perfect amount of heat baked into the breading. The fries were sprinkled with heat and were delicious dipped into the honey and slappin sauce they provided. The slider also looked tasty and both entrees came with two slices of bread. It was perfection from start to finish. Prices are fair, there is some seating inside but definitely more of a grab and go type place. Lots of spots previously in this location have come and gone so I am hoping this one sticks around. Parking is tricky and the reason I have to dock a star.

We got the slappin chick for takeout. I got the mild, my sister got the medium and my other sister got the spicy. Honestly, even the spicy wasn't really that spicy. As for the proportions and the chicken itself, these chicken sliders were definitely pretty big, I was only able to finish one. The chicken was crispy and I loved the sauce they put on top. I think the sauce really brought the whole slider together. The crinkle cut fries were alright, they were crispy on the outside but because they are crinkle cut and much thicker I think it needed more seasoning for the flavors to come through. Overall a very solid meal and I would come back and try it again!

This chicken place is def SLAPPIN the menu is simple and to the point, the chicken is the closest you can get to Nashville taste in New York for sure! I got the "hot" spice and it was delicious especially after adding some honey. I love this place and will be back for sure. The service was fast and great Ps love the neon sign lol

A few of my friends mentioned this place for me to try. I always raved about a spot called holy chick and UJAYS and they said this place is similar. The service was very friendly( young lady at the register was super nice) , good amount of dine in seats. Place was clean. Now lets get to the juice - fries had no salt and were kind if bland, even though they had some spices on it -the chicken itself was very juice and fresh - sauce was ehh - they have different spice levels, i choose the mild Overall not a bad spot to try if your near but to travel for, i wouldn't. I don't know if its because i just love how U jays sauce is that i kind of set the bar high but it was a 6.5 out of 10 for me

The definition of do one thing and do it right! There's only 4 menu choices here and all include their deliciously slappin' chicken. They also have a really good lunch special. Highly recommend ending with their banana pudding! Please support your local and small businesses!

We each ordered a half order of the crispy thighs- his all spicy, and I got half plain and half honey butter with a side of truffle mayo and vegetable kimchi fried rice to share. Even without the rice it was a decent amount of food. The food came out really fast (though menu said the chicken could take up to 25 mins). Having it on the side actually made the meal better because you can adjust how much flavor you want each time you bite into a piece. It is also nice to have a Pelicana in Plainview since Korean fried chicken spots are getting more popular and this location adds a great option to the area. Food wise I cannot complain. Everything was cooked well and it pairs nicely with the beer they serve. The only drawback was the service situation with our order. Our server told us that three pieces of chicken were dropped in the kitchen so they would bring out the full order except those three pieces and make the missing ones afterward. After we finished eating they completely forgot about the three pieces but when we reminded them they brought them out and honored it which made the overall service decent in the end. Good food and a solid experience and I would come back again.

I was in the mood for chicken wings but upon arriving and looking at their selection of food, the food is very limited! Wanted chicken wings, but the chicken wings were super small and looking like some frozen small chicken wings. The tenders looked good and I went with tenders! I got 2 3 piece tenders with fries and a biscuit! 3 piece was a little over 11 dollars that come with no soda, which it should! Took the food home for me and my wife and it was smelling good in the car. Got home and opened the box to 5 potato wedges and a 3 piece with a biscuit! The wedges are hefty wedges, but they're French fries and why only 5 French fries smh. Wedges are thick cu, but a lil to thick that there not fully cooked all the way through. They need to make slimmed wedges and give more French fries! It's only potatoes, which are not expensive. The box was crazy big for the limited amount of food they give you but for the price the food portion wasn't bad at all! It's the presentation that looks terrible and they should make slimmer wedges and give you more than 5. Chicken fingers were decent size and for the price it's a decent amount of food but they need to get smaller boxes and work on the presentation. The biscuit was good and overall the food was not bad at all! The Mac & cheese looked watery and trash so your best bet is tenders and fries here. Their chicken breast were nice sizes, but didn't look nothing special. Overall it's easily accessible and a chicken spot inside of a convenience store so from the outside it doesn't look like a chicken spot. Looks like you're in a gas station with a convenient store inside. Would I be back maybe, but nothing I would go out my way for. 3/5 experience and not terrible, but plenty of better chicken spots.

It is a large establishment next to the very busy Ikea next door but I surmise people rather eat Swedish meatballs for half the price of Wild Fig. I ordered the Mixed Salad Bowl with chicken and my first impression was that it is quite similar to Cava. However, they emphasize that the main inspiration here is Turkish food which explains why the offer Pides. While Cava most definitely wins in the flavor category, Wild Fig's ingredients are less salty and oily. I would even believe that it might be healthier in that regard? The portions are above average and priced competitively. I was immediately prompted a tip screen on top of a $1 service charge fee. I did not ask what the service charge fee was for but at $12.99 a bowl these days, that is a good deal.
