The kiddo preferred the fries (which last week she didn't eat fries so her reviews are pretty all over the place). She got a lemonade which we all tried and it was delicious! Like ordering a cake for my wife's birthday. So the day before I wind up at the mercy of the bakery as she wanted a strawberry blossom cake only made at Lowe's. Of course, there weren't any made at the time and after calling two other locations, I thought all was lost. Theresa stepped in and said she would make me one and I could even pick it up after 4 that day as we would be out of town the next. I got there just after 4 and she had a beautiful cake waiting for me. Saved my hide and did so with professionalism and kindness. So thank you, Theresa, for making my wife's birthday a bit better and keeping this disabled vet from panicking.

My only issue was that the breading felt like it was missing a little something, maybe more seasoning, pepper, or some extra flavor. Growing up with places like Gus's Fried Chicken in Memphis and Nashville hot chicken, I think I naturally expect a little more punch from the chicken itself. The sauce they serve is more of a barbecue style sauce, and while it worked, I personally didn't love it enough for it to carry all the flavor. The sides were a mixed bag. The collard greens were really good and definitely one of the highlights. The coleslaw, though, was way too pepper heavy for my taste. Also, the piece of bread that comes with the meal was honestly not worth the calories. I'd rather see them either upgrade the bread or skip it altogether. One unexpected highlight was the pebble ice from the drink machine. Small detail, but it was awesome and definitely appreciated. Overall, I'd come back and try some different sides because the chicken itself is worth returning for.
