Most CFA locations have two basic rules you need to remember: 1. They render excellent chicken in various forms 2. You might need graduate level course work in logistics to figure out how to get on/off the property and the restaurant's traffic flow. Both of the above apply fully to this outpost. Three entrance points here off of 54 and South Hill Carter Parkway and the easiest two are coned off. Only usable entrance/exit point is the one furthest from the restaurant down by their retention (?) pond. Crap tons of cars and like most CFAs, the place has a huge line that snakes down to almost where you get on/off the property. Hell no to that, so we opted to go inside. Great choice. Nobody in there. Ordered right away and had the food brought to us well before we ever would have gotten it drive thru style. Spicy Sandwich - Nugs - Wrap - Shakes All were as you would expect from any CFA. Aside from the bizzarro entrance/exit options, this store upholds the chain's usual Stepford-like levels of friendliness and consistency. A+ read more

An early road trip on I-95 North this morning called for a stop to grab breakfast and restroom break. We always look for a Chick-fil-A since the food is always good and their restrooms are a better bet than most other fast food or gas station options. This location was a bit challenging to enter. We suggest that the small entrance sign be updated to include the Chick-fil-A logo, especially since it almost looks like you're turning back onto a highway access. This location is a short distance from the I-95 off-ramp which is a bonus. The restaurant was clean and the service was friendly. Their condiments station was nicely organized and stocked with napkins, mayo and ketchup packs, plastic ware, and straws, etc. The women's restroom was clean, and with the availability of 3 stalls, we were glad there wasn't a wait. Our to-go order was complete and everything was hot. The CFA chicken biscuit and 4ct minis were tasty, as expected. The hash browns were very good, too. April 2025 Recently we stopped by the Chick-fil-A 815 England St in Ashland, Va. This was our First and last time going to this location! In addition to a busload of people swarming the place, the parking lot design is horrible and traffic flow was very congested. We ordered the spicy chicken deluxe combo and a chicken deluxe combo. The spicy chicken deluxe sandwich was Bland. Absolutely Zero spicy on that sandwich! The waffle potato fries didn't have regular salt on them but some weird tasting seasoning. The drinks were the Only things that were acceptable, smh! Very disappointing experience at that location. Why does this location not have their address on the receipt? I stopped at the 815 England St, Ashland VA 23005 Chick-fil-A on March 25, 2025, while on a road trip with my sister, and it was such a bad experience that I redownloaded Yelp just to write this. I ordered a 12-count nugget, mac & cheese, and a medium Dr Pepper through the drive-thru. The employee tapped my card, I heard the beep, and he told me to move forward. At the window, they called out "Olivia." Not me. I told them my actual order, and they claimed they had no record of it. I asked them to check with the guy who took my payment--he didn't even respond over the walkie-talkie. Instead of just making my food (which I had already paid for!), they charged me AGAIN and made me wait in the parking lot. While waiting, I checked my card statement--I had been charged twice. No refund, no apology, just a waste of my time and money. Chick-fil-A is supposed to have great service, but this was beyond frustrating. Double-check your orders and charges if you stop here. Chick-fil-A always delivers! This location in Ashland had a bit of a confusing entrance, it was around the back of the restaurant where there was a small water body filled with ducks. So cute! We got in the long line and as usual, it went by lightning fast! I'm always so impressed by this fast food chain and the efficiency of their service. My daughter ordered the nuggets meal, and I got the chicken wrap with the avocado lime dressing! Delish! Way to go CFA, keeping on ducking, or trucking!! read more

I love chick but... when we sat down last night to eat our meal my fiancés chicken sandwich deluxe had dirt in the sand which and she only found out after eating half of it. She then got sick and was unable to attend work the next day. I immediately called up and they said they cannot reimburse me with cash but they will make up for the meal having dirt in it. When I arrived to chick today to see what they would offer me they gave me one singular sandwich. I am very disappointed with the service I received. read more

Other Chick-fil-A's have no problems providing breakfast orders after 10:30 a.m. so long as it's ordered in the app before 10:30 a.m.. So it seems like this is a management/policy issue. We ordered breakfast on the app around 9:40 a.m., arrived at the restaurant around 10:00 a.m., and sat in line with hungry children in the car for almost 30 minutes to be turned away at 10:33 a.m. without our order!!! We contacted the Chick-fil-A customer service team and they sent us two free breakfast sandwiches. Shame on the Chick-fil-A management and owner for not owning their mistakes and making it right. IMHO, if you order breakfast from this location (or VCC, same owner), you're taking a gamble on whether or not you're going to get your breakfast! read more

The remaining one has toilet paper off to the side and not installed correctly in the dispenser...same for the paper towels. Overall not very clean and lackluster service. Also it's carry out only. My family stopped here after having a long day at Kings Dominion. We were all hungry and wanted a quick bite before hitting the road, and this place was close by for us to swing by. I ordered Spicy Deluxe with fries and lemonade. As I expected, the food was super delicious! I haven't had their spicy sandwich for a while, so it definitely hit all the right spots. The only one thing I didn't love about my quick dinner was the cleanliness of the place. My family was fighting with flies throughout the meal, which isn't the most ideal way of consuming food. I rarely get outside food while in Greenville during Covid since hubby is high risk and has tons of food allergies, but as is the case of my weekly grocery shopping, I am driving along Woodruff Road on a hot August day last week, and figured, what the heck, I'm craving a bit outside my routine. . . I pull in and there's signs directing to go around the building for the drive-thru. There is a large (?) canopy like the standalone carport roof that you drive under, and an employee takes your order and enters it right there. And you go to the other side of the building that also has shading, to pick up your food. . Nice that the owner considers these for the employees and customers. I didn't check to see if dining is even allowed, though I had groceries in my car . . Plus the peach milkshake and waffle fries were great! I was already stuffed for my Chick-fil-A sandwich with its addictive white sauce . . . I felt like I was sneaking food as I knew Honey couldn't have the sandwich nor shake and didn't want to eat it in front of him . . Then again, I should have saved him some waffle fries . . Oops. It hit the spot and it also helped me to NOT buy a carton of ice cream at the next store I was going to. read more

Every employee at this chick fil a should get a raise. I ordered my food in the drive thru around 3 pm today. Service was quick and efficient, people were friendly, restaurant was clean (I used the bathroom.) Now, the reason why everyone needs a raise... I've been to chick fil a many times. I live in PA. It's no a secret I'm a fan of Chic-fil-A and as soon I hit 95 south, I instantly look for their signs, and It's my first stop. Yes, we have a couple of locations in NYC but I'm not a fan of their stepped down lack luster production. Any-hue, my 1/27/18 stop @ this Chic-fil-A in Ashland, VA was my first visit to an out of state location that didn't go so smooth. We arrived at the transition between the breakfast and regular menu. After an employee asked all the customers on line if we wanted breakfast or lunch , and everyone said they would like lunch the operation seemed to struggle. If took the staff sometime to adjust to the switch. Amazingly it appeared as if it was their first rodeo. After our orders were taking we were giving a seat marker and went to sit and wait for our food. Expectingly it was going to be a little wait because they had just stopped breakfast. When our food comes out the gentlemen delivering trays to the tables gives our food to another table. He apologizes and says we will have to wait a few minutes longer. Ugh. When he brings the food he only brings one order and totally forgets my food. When he comes back he offers me the wrong order. I finally go to the counter to find out why such the mix up. A manager steps in and re-enters my order and ask me to give her just a few more minutes. She actually personally brings my correct order to my table with a sincere apology. Which I appreciated bc I was on the verge of "Hangry" at that point. She also offered a chocolate chip cookie and breakfast card. I thought that was very nice because I was just happy for my food and ownership of the mishap. One reason why I dig this chain... good customer satisfaction is a priority. read more

My only ding on this location is getting to it! They have closed two entry driveways to the property. Only entrance requires you to drive past the restaurant on the side street and enter there. That entrance has no signage to let you know it is the entrance for CFA. Other than that your typical pleasant CFA dining experience. read more

My recent experience with this particular Chick-Fil-A was pretty good! We were headed North on a mini road trip and wanted some easy food for the ride. At just 0.5 Miles off the highway it was a pretty quick trip that took us 20 minutes at the most from exit-ramp to on-ramp. This must be the only Chick-Fil-A in the area, because it was packed when we arrived. The double drive-thru lines were wrapped around the entire building and the parking lot was at max capacity, so we had to walk up a hill to go inside and order (ordering inside to-go is usually faster I have found). The line was pretty long inside, but it only took me a few minutes at most to get through it. I ordered quickly and used my Chick-Fil-A App to get my treat points (I highly recommend downloading the app if you frequent Chick-Fil-A often). We ordered 2 12-Count Chicken Nugget Meals, 1 with a Sprite to drink and 1 Chocolate Milkshake for the other. We shared both drinks among us on the ride. The food tasted great! On the way home from our family vacation, we stopped at Chick Fil A a quick dinner. I mean how can you go wrong with Chick Fil A? Very friendly staff and quick service. We got our food by the time we got our drinks. There were 7 of us and we were trying to sit together but the biggest table was dirty so we had to sit at 2 separate tables. Also it wasn't the cleanest chick fil a I've ever been to. I ordered Spicy Deluxe and noticed that I was missing pepper jack cheese on my sandwich. I was a little disappointed that they messed up my order but luckily my sister offered me hers as she ordered the same one which came with pepper jack cheese. The staff members are clean-cut, attractive, motivated and engaging; everyone is friendly, everyone knows their job, and everyone goes out of their way to give you a good experience. Never been to a Chick fil A before in my life. Everyone has been talking about how great it is so my husband and I decided to try it at the end of our cross country journey. First of all the bathrooms were spotless which is always a plus when driving all day. We were advised to get the nuggets ,so I did . My husband ordered the tenders and said they were the best chicken ever. They were delicious and did not disappoint. The noted fast food expert John Hein raves about Chick-fil-A all the time, so I figured I had to drop my longtime objections to the political opinions of the owner and check them out. I'd had their food just once before in the Chicago area years ago. I have to admit, this was a good idea. Chick-fil-A has very high-quality fast food, fresh choices from the chicken to the potatoes to the lemonade. They don't let you fill your own drink or get refills, which is a slight drawback, but that's OK. I don't think people should be drinking as much soda anyway.
