Made a mobile order with the thought that it would be faster to order ahead. I will no longer be making that mistake again. Got to the restaurant and had to wait 20 minutes while people coming in after us were served and given their food. My family and I love Chick-fil-a and go there all the time, but this location needs some management attention. We stopped around 8 p.m. on a Friday night while driving down to Wiliamsburg. The dining area wasn't even half full. There was no line and no wait at the counter, just walk right up and place an order. There were at least six employees all hanging out behind the counter jovially talking about the Washington Redskins. I placed an order to go, which they provided in a to-go bag, but didn't put any napkins or utensils inside (good thing I checked before I left). In spite of multiple employees on duty and no customers waiting, multiple napkin dispensers were empty. The tables needed to be wiped down. There was trash on the floor, to include someone's milkshake straw covered with milkshake splattered all over the floor in the middle of a walkway. I pulled in about 3:00 pm on 11/11 to go inside and order a salad and because there was a tornado warning on the other side of the county they locked the doors and customers were being told buy one of the employees they couldn't let us in because of the tornado warning. Everyone has been super nice but it's by far the slowest chikfila I've ever been to. I try to avoid it but as I drive this route every other weekend, sometimes it can't be avoided. The traffic is managed poorly outside and it might help if they offered curbside pick up. There's a ton of parking spots not being used during rush hour. The entrance and exit make zero sense and it's a safety issue trying to leave after the drive through. Confusing traffic pattern and frustrating. But service with a smile! read more

Someone was throwing fries into the duck pond, feeding the ducks fries. Why isn't there a sign saying "don't feed ducks"? Why even have a duck pond right next to a fast food joint where litter is more likely to happen, and people are more likely to feed them fast food. read more

The most disorganized Chick-fil-A I've probably ever been to. There was an employee braiding her hair in the bathroom while watching a video. She was in everyone's way to wash their hands it was odd. There was only one person at the register so there was a long line. While waiting for my order I had to move out of the way so another employee could adjust the flower decorations on each table (????). Moreover they informed me they are out of the peach milkshake so I was bummed about that. I don't eat fast food often but when I do it's at this place! Chick-fil-a is well known for its high standards in customer service and this particular location did not disappoint. What stood out the must in this experience was the manager's attentiveness to customers as they came in the door. It was a subtle and kind gesture acknowledging their presence and welcoming them to Chick-Fil-a. Such a simple act really made the difference in what would have been an uneventful quick stop for coffee and a bite to eat. Simply put, the manager aka 'Peacekeeper' was awesome! I'm not going to say it's every time and I'm not going to say that the food is bad. When my order is right it is delicious. The problem I've had here over and over again is they cannot get my breakfast order right. I live In Ashland so I usually don't notice till I'm home so usually I'll just deal with it. Worst part go back to get it fixed ( cause lord knows how much egg and cheese I've paid for and not received) but the one that was the replacement was made wrong too. Hello I was in the mood for a yummy salas in Ashland but I just decided to try one of yours. I didn't wanna go in so I chose the drive thru. Yes there was a line almost wrapped around the building but I decided to wait. The drive thru moved really speedy, and got to order within minutes. I ordered a Cobb salad with no cheese, and my order was ready as soon as I got to the window. I wish the team member who took my money was a little bit more friendly but you were busy so its cool. I went to the Chick-Fil-A in Ashland, after going to Kings Dominion in Doswell. Ya, I know there was a Chick-Fil-A in the park, but I didn't feel like paying extra or staying in the park any longer. I even went so far as to go more south to go to this Chick-Fil-A. It was a nice Chick-Fil-A and the staff was nice as well. My only complaint was the fact that it was a little understaffed. I guess it's hard to get work in this area. With that in mind, the food comes out somewhat slower. Luckily, the food is pretty good. The Dining Area was clean and well kept. Just passing through on a trip to VB and was about 10 minutes out from their lunch menu, my spectrum child who continues to live off a steady diet of waffle fries and milk (we've eaten chick fil a every other day for the past 2.5 years).. requested his usual and we were told we'd have to get out of line and come back in 9 minutes because the machine did not allow them to place non-breakfast orders for another 9 minutes. When we told the associate we make this request often and we're usually told it will be a few extra minutes, she stared blankly then said, "Is there anything else I can get for you?" Yikes. Luckily we were able to flag down another young lady named Jessica who was so helpful, and allowed us to order/pay and offered a familiar response, "You'll have to wait a few extra minutes in a parking spot, if you don't mind?" Let's be honest, it's a Chick Fil A, with their consistency it can be said that when you've been to one, you've been to them all. They have a typical happy persona, they quickly fix any mistakes they've made, and they're quick. This location is along the 95 corridor which you would think would make it unbearably busy but that's not the case. I've seen times where this location is hectic, but most of the time it's either slow or steady. Three strikes...I'm done. Yes, ingress/egress is a little tricky (and could be better marked rather than using traffic cones - or better yet, use Jersey walls or otherwise remove the unused entrances) and yes, the line moves VERY quickly and yes, the vast majority of the team members are absolute joys with whom to interact. (Great patience, smiles, and oh so friendly even with demanding guests! [I mean, who but a Karen decides to change their order at the pickup area? Saw this happen far too often.]) But, the fried chicken has been consistently overdone and dry no matter what the order. So sad :( Go the extra miles to the one on Brook Road in front of the Publix on Brook Road. Same craziness getting in/out, but much better chicken. read more

The girls answer to me was verbatim sorry we don't have anything left . I asked for chicken egg and cheese . So the location is out of egg and cheese . At 10:29 am when they serve breakfast until 10:30 am . So really what that was, not wanting to help an everyday customer and all co workers as well . Going to start going elsewhere . Don't appreciate their customers especially with an answer that they don't have anything left . Never fast service, but nice and always get the order right. My only complaint is that they need a sign indicating that the drive through is two lanes. It doesn't seem like one. So when you sit in a long like for 20 min and then all of a sudden an employee comes out and directs people in front of you, it can be frustrating. read more

This has got to be my favorite fast food place. We went through the drive through with our dog and the server Daniel was very welcoming and courteous. He even told us a story about his dog and he was very kind. All employees at this restaurant are so nice and we have never encountered a poor worker. Very great service! I don't eat in Chick-fil-A that often, but hit this one tonight while working late. I was really disappointed in the cleanliness or well, lack of. The bathroom was AWFUL. Food was OK - typical. But....went to dump my tray and couldn't because the trash cans were OVERFLOWING. Hmmm. I realize this one is right at the interstate and I'm sure gets a lot of traffic thru and maybe they don't worry about a lot of repeat customers, but it could really give people a poor impression of the Town of Ashland. read more
