Today was a very special day in our lives: my family and I officially became Canadian citizens! Right after the oath of citizenship ceremony, we decided to celebrate with lunch at the Chick-fil-A on Macleod Trail, SW Calgary. We placed our order for a group of 5: 3 chicken sandwich meals, a chicken nugget meal and a salad. At the til, we also mentioned that we had just become Canadian citizens (probably looking obvious in our matching white outfits and little Canadian flags). The manager Rob, gave us a big smile, congratulated us and told us our meal was on the house today! We were absolutely floored by the kindness. The food was fantastic (those chicken sandwiches live up to the hype!), the restaurant was clean, and every team member we interacted with was genuinely warm and welcoming. This was our very first Chick-fil-A experience ever, and thanks to Rob and the whole crew, it was nothing short of magical. We left feeling even more proud and excited to call Canada home. Thank you, Chick-fil-A Calgary Macleod Trail, for making our citizenship day even more memorable. We'll be back, very soon, and with even bigger appetites! Stopped by for a chicken sandwich deluxe, waffle fries and a soda. Same consistent food quality across the board from this chain with friendly employees. Total was $14.06 which is a bit high but in this economy, it's low. Thanks for Daniel for being so sweet. read more

Heard of this place through a friend on Yelp in the USA. Here in Calgary we have our first and only location!! Walk in at about 11 am way before the lunch rush. Pickles behind the counter was very friendly and very helpful with our order, since we have never been here before. Pickles name was on the name tag he was wearing he told us that's was not his real name, that's a story for another time. I'm here to give a food review not a review on pickles. LOL We ordered two Chick-fil-A-Deluxe meals. Was suggested by this fine gentleman to try their sweet tea Lemonade. Must say he didn't steer us wrong delicious!! One thing I have to say is this where has this place been all my life!!!! Very clean inside with every table having a placement of flowers. Staff coming around to the tables to ask if every thing is okay and do we need any more condiments for our food. What a beautiful addition to customer service for a fast food joint. As we looked around it's now 11:30 am and the place is now packed and very busy. The drive thru now has a line up with quite a few vehicles deep. The food was tender hot and delicious. Nothing was disappointing!! -Plenty of parking but can be limited when busy. -plenty of seating and again if busy it's limited. Will definitely be returning in the near future for sure. read more

With out a doubt the worst chicken I have ever ate. Chick-fil-a sauce is gross. Waffle fries and the pop were great but I will never spend another dime on lousy crap like that. read more

All I can say is why are the reviews so low?! The food is a great way to enjoy your day. The service is quick but busy which isn't a bad thing. The mood is a regular fast-food vibe but with more sitting. Better seating too. The pretzel bun spicy chicken sandwich is the BEST! Highly recommend read more

It is Ana amazing fast food joint. I had a grilled cheese burger , grilled nuggets and the normal chicken nuggets. It was not oily like Popeyes or kfc and the quality is amazing. The only downside is that you will have to wait patiently in line to get your food but the food makes up for it. read more

That was the dries, worst chicken sandwich I have ever eaten!!! The waffle fries were ok, service was excellent but the chicken burger was just nasty. A dry bun (no mayo or any kind of spread) a very lightly battered dry chicken breast (i assume it is cut in half) with 2 pickles. Thats it!! This place can not compete with Popeyes, KFC or hell even McDonald's chicken burger. I do not recommend! read more

As a life long Chick-fil-a patron I will say that the food at the Calgary location is great. My biggest issue with the restaurant is the speed, or lack thereof, of service. Slow service is not something Chick-fil-a is known for. My family and I have frequented the restaurant at least once a week since opening and have consistently had to wait an obnoxiously long time for our food. Why does it take so long to serve chicken? It's literally the main offering on the menu. My consistent observation of the employees at the restaurant is that there are many standing around, playing around with customers in front of them, not attending to their jobs. I want Chick-fil-a to succeed in Calgary. Mr. Bourassa, please hire employees that share your passion for the brand. read more

0/10 experience! got in the drive thru at 4:55, and was expecting the drive thru to take at least an hour. took about 55 minutes to place our order which was fine and what we expected. we waited in line for a while and when we got to the door they were dropping off orders to all the people behind us. at one point they asked us to drive forward to wait. we watched as everyone behind us except two cars drove past us and left. my girlfriend got out of the car to go ask about our food and turns out they had forgotten about our order. we placed our order at 5:50 and they didn't print the ticket to start our order until 6:30. safe to say the customer service was beyond terrible. not once did the workers ask us what we were waiting for or if we were doing okay. even when my girlfriend went and asked about our food she was met with attitude from the girl working. the food wasn't worth the wait either. my other friend ordered no tomato's on her sandwich and was given tomato's anyway. the waffle fries were tasteless. i was super excited to try it but was not pleased with my experience. will not return. read more
