I don't know what it is about Chick-fil-A but they always seem to produce the kindest and most respectful employees. I hope that's a reflection of employees being treated well. This location is no different. I used the mobile app for the first time to place my order, which was easy enough. I did have one question and one of the managers was so nice in answering it fir me. I ordered my usual, Deluxe Chicken with Waffle Fries and an Arnold Palmer - it was delicious as usual. I just moved to Long Beach and this location is close to work, so I can't wait to regularly stop by here and make this my preferred location. Will definitely be stopping by again. read more

I find it interesting that some reviewers here have stated that they get sick from the food as I have had an upset stomach from eating here. There are many times that I've gone that it is very busy, and they seem to be overwhelmed by the influx, and not staffed for the close proximity from the mall. I do agree that it can be efficient to have someone outside to take your order, but come on... you are not In n Out with a very simple menu and it doesnt make it easy to read all the items on a small menu card that's double-sided. And yes its affecting the attitude of your employees. It sounds like it hurts for them to say "my pleasure" especially since these aren't pleasurable conditions to be running back and forth from the window to the cars to deliver food in the hot sun. And if you should continue this process, make sure you have a self serve stand for napkins and condiments that's accessible from my vehicle. Your team didnt include a spoon, napkins or other items needed to enjoy the meal. For those reading, convenience is no longer a positive at this location or the Lakewood location since they're doing the same lame thing. Oh man, where do I even begin? First, I was almost discouraged from coming here on a Thursday evening because there was almost no parking at the Los Cerritos Center near this Chick-fil-A. However, I sucked it up and managed to find a spot after a couple of minutes. Anyway, I was able to order within a reasonable time and the cashier was super patient as I was trying to log into my Chick-fil-A account to pay by mobile. And he was conversational, which is nice and breaks the awkward silence as I am trying to load the app. Anyway, they have the sauces out in the dining area. I mean, I have not seen that in years! And, because I have OCD, I was even more impressed that it was super organised, labelled, and polished. My order was out within 5 minutes, and I enjoyed my meal. I was client #97 on opening day on March 1st, 2007. I had a wristband that saved my place in line. Now, I just needed to stick it out for the night in order to get the payoff...a year's worth of vouchers good for a Combo #1! My brother who works at the Cerritos mall indicated that the standalone Chick-Fil-A was going to open on March 1st, 2007. It was February 28th. I just left work and was planning on going back home. I passed by the Chick-Fil-A and saw the banners saying when it was going to open tomorrow and saw a large crowd gathering. They all knew about the contest: The first 100 people at a new Chick-Fil-A will get a year's worth of free food. Tents were going up for those diehard people. High school friends of mine called me and urged me to join them. But I needed to use the bathroom and change clothes, so I went home. After sitting at my desk, I thought about it long and hard and decided that I wasn't going to let my friends stick it out without me. There was no way I was going to have regrets. I got in my 5-Series and burned rubber back to the Los Cerritos Center. The traffic lights were all green on the way there. It was a good omen too. Had I got caught with one red light, I would have missed out on it, as number 98, 99 and 100 signed up a few seconds after I ran up to the registration table and showed them my drivers license. My friends were numbers 78 thru 80 or so. They barely made it themselves. Only after I signed up did I realize that they won't let you go back to your car or leave the parking lot. "Shit," I thought. I had to have my brothers and other friends come in and drop off essential supplies, like lawn chairs, blankets, Carl's Jr. and Starbucks. It was 6PM when the contest began for me. And that night of Feb. 28th, 2007 was the coldest night in this part of Los Angeles County in the past 120 years! No matter how many layers of clothes and blankets I put on, I could not warm up. It was about 25 degrees! Everyone there had tents and heaters. Apparently, they were all pros at this. The only ones who didn't have bedding were me and my friends. We did have a television and DVD player though, plugged into the side of the restaurant. We were such noobs. Thankfully, Chick-Fil-A fed us throughout the course of the night. The only downside was that there would be random roll calls to check to make sure that the 100 people who registered were still in the parking lot. If you didn't report or left at some point, then you were disqualified. They did open up the bathroom for public use, but you were not able to loiter around inside for too long. You had to keep moving, much like when you were ten years old walking through a Las Vegas casino. I did not sleep a wink that night. I was wired on free coffee and did not crash yet. It was freezing also, so that kept me from getting comfortable and falling . Did I forget to mention that I had work the next day at 7am? It opened on a Thursday morning, of all days. As soon as they made us line up and rattled pots and pans, we received our vouchers in the order that we registered and under the condition that we wear some grand opening swag they handed out. So that meant I was bringing up the rear and almost late to work the next day. By the time I collected my pay and got out, it was 6:30 on Thursday morning, and so I got into my car and hauled ass back to work on the 605 Freeway. My coworkers were surprised seeing me in my unkempt state and wondered if I got any sleep because I was particularly hyper for the first few hours of the day. The answer was no, but I had an awesome story to tell them the next day. I crashed hard by around noon and passed out at my desk. Well, I can finally say that it's about time for Chick-Fil-A to get out of the food court and have a free standing unit all by itself. The newly remodeled place from the former Krispy Kreme Donuts (Sorry Judy W., a donut place bite the dust), next to the B of A, sits this newly furnished and remodeled dining fast food restaurant. It has all the amenities of a fast food place and many registers to boot. Oh, obviously you don't need to park and run inside to the food court to get your chicken fixing. There's a drive thru at this location. It's a monumental breakthrough for any fast food place in Cerritos. There was never a drive thru location until this one. If you ever noticed, there's no drive thru fast food joints. (Micky D's is in La Palma, Taco Bell & Burger King is in Artesia). With all these comforts, you also don't have to fight for a table with all these other patrons in the food court. That was a major plus to get away from that pit. Major improvement indeed. The food still taste the same, I am happy to report. The lemonade is still good and the waffle fries are still die to for. It's all good on that front. Now, I don't have to go to Long Beach for that chicken fixin'. For the LB'ers...please stay at your area. You had your own Chick-Fil-A. Thank you very much. read more

How could I possibly give 5 stars to a fast food place? Will I lose all credibility? Maybe, but this place really is great. I hadn't been here in a very long time and was actually on my way to grab a quick burger when I spotted Chick-Fil-A and made a quick detour. Maybe it was the thought of that addictive Chick-Fil-A sauce. Or the flawed thinking that chicken would be better for my diet than beef. Whatever, I found myself walking through the front door to a choir of "Welcome to Chick-Fil-A!" from several smiling workers. It immediately put me in a good mood. The cashier taking my order was so sweet and made me feel like I was a family member or something. The entire staff was so happy and helpful (bringing me condiments that I had forgotten, for example). I noticed that all the customers in the place were smiling. My order was a Chick Deluxe with waffle fries and a chocolate shake. All were as good & fresh as fast food can get. The shake was superb (best shake made by any fast food place) and I liked the touches of plenty of whipped cream and a cherry on top. I also like that they have all the condiments out for you to take as you need rather than having to ask them to unlock their sauce vault behind the counter for an extra packet like most fast food joints do. I've been to many Chick-fil-A locations and they all do a good job of service and food quality. This location has a good size parking lot. The employees are nice and the food is the same really good quality. The only problem I've had was that this location and other locations have recently added the option of their CFA app. The ordering from your phone and picking up your food works fine, but I wanted to try the other option of ordering with an employee and using the app to get your points. Here's where the problem came. I had my app open and told the employee that I had it open and would like to add my order and the points associated to my account. Turns out I finish my order and the employee had no idea how the system works. I can't find anything on the app that says how this process works. I tried this at another location and I had the same problem. The employees are not trained. I don't see how you could have an app and your employees don't know how to use it. You get the convenience of a quick, filling meal while enjoying a refined dining experience (for those who eat in). They even have real flowers at every table. The service is amazingly friendly. They also ask for your name so they can match your name with what you ordered. Drink places usually do this; I do not expect that from a restaurant. The food came in less than 2 minutes. They also pick up your tray for you when you are done. The food here is delicious. Cow friendly. They have waffle fries which is pretty unique. Also, the ketchup packets they have are the ones where you can use as a mini dipping bowl in addition to just squeezing it out. It's great that Chick-Fil-A is now out of the mall. I've always had the grilled chicken sandwich before and didn't know what the fuss was about. But I had the deluxe fried chicken sandwich this weekend and I was in love. The bun was buttered and soft, a bit too soft because it falls apart after holding it a few times. The chicken was so good, great recipe that I could feel my cholesterol raising, also the waffle fries are addicting. I tried the diet lemonade they make with Splenda, it's pretty good but gets way too sweet after awhile. And i made an orangey, spicy by myself! One packet of Pete's hot sauce, one packet of mustard and one packet of bbq sauce, it's like a spicy honey mustard. For a fast food chain, this place has *awesome* customer service. I wonder if the employees get tired of being so pleasant all the time, but it's great, really it is!!! My children love this place! Hubby likes that all of the kids' menu choices involve real chicken pieces rather than pieces of chicken pieces. And the kids' toys are actually educational (books and old school board game type deals). I like getting the deluxe spicy chicken sandwich, although hubby said it was on the salty side. For customer service being what they are known for, I am very disappointed tonight. My son, who may I add, just came home from Army training, went through the drive through and didn't check the bag before he left the window( even though I have told him to a 1000x but thats another story). When he arrived home, we were missing a sandwich. He drove back and they said they would not be able to give him the missing sandwich because he didn't bring the whole order back. I came here when they sent a coupon for a free breakfast sandwich, no purchase necessary. I ended up getting a free iced coffee as well. They are giving a free small hot or iced coffee ( regular or vanilla flavored) per person for the entire month of February it turns out! The store was very clean and the staff was super friendly. Then there's the condiments station. They have tons of dipping sauces and International Delight creamers. I'm not going to lie, I've taken a little more than my share on a couple occasions. You can eat them a variety of ways but we like to dip the chicken in the Chick Fil-A sauce and spread grape jelly on the mini biscuits (you have to ask for jelly, they don't usually have it out.
