I've gotten into plenty of friendly debates when I say I prefer Habit over the burger place with the always-packed drive-thru. I know! But at the end of the day, it all comes down to personal preference, and Habit has always been our family's go-to. Their burgers are consistently delicious, and my boys absolutely love the crispy chicken bites. We've been coming to this location for a long time, and I can't believe I've never left a review until now. This location has a cozy atmosphere with plenty of seating, including booths inside and outdoor tables, so it's always a comfortable place to enjoy a meal. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because we were a little disappointed during our most recent visit. We ordered the kids' meal with crispy chicken bites, and the portion size was noticeably smaller than what we've always received. They used to separate the chicken bites and fries, which made the portion feel generous. This time, both were squeezed into one small paper tray, and it was obvious the serving size had been reduced. I could literally count the fries, and even the chicken bites themselves were much smaller. The taste was still just as good, thankfully. I just hope they reconsider the portion sizes, especially for the kids' meals, because it was a noticeable difference from what we've come to expect. read more

Today I tried something different - the mango miso crunch salad. I used ranch dressing instead of the one that comes with it. It was really good and tasty with a very large portion. The chicken was tasty . There was also cucumber and corn and lettuce and of course the chicken. I think I even found an almond. Very crunchy. Fun to eat. Lots of chewing. read more

Someone in my family was craving a burger at 10am. Habit Burger didn't open until 1030am, however, we were able to walk right in at 1028. Out of courtesy, we didn't order anything through the self-serve monitors until 1030. Our food came out fresh and delicious. It took a bit of time though. The crunch of the bread from my avocado grilled cheese sandwich kept me wanting more. I was going to save half for later, but, I ended up eating the whole thing. So I gave them another chance to redeem themselves since the last time, they messed up my order really bad. This visit I ordered through the app in order to redeem the special promo, but I ate it there in case of any mess ups. Everything was prepared correctly and bagged accordingly. I've been coming to this local establishments for about 5 years and haven't ever had a complaint until today. I ordered the Double Char burger with cheese..I requested no mayonnaise because it's usually just too much.The burger was ready in 5-7 minutes. The staff were friendly and helpful. My 2 complaints were (1) a very salty burger and (2) a partially medium rare burger.I was hungry and didn't want to go back so I threw out the last 5 bites! Yesterday, I was very hungry and did not feel like cooking so, I decided to pick something up. I entered and there was a couple ahead of me, so I had to wait about 5 minutes. After they were done, I approached the counter to place my order and I was not greeted. I proceeded to order an ahi tuna sandwich and a garden salad. Everything seemed to be fine until I was almost done with the sandwich and had to pull the wrapper down more, then I noticed that there was an area of the wrapper that had, what appeared to be black ink on it. I have been concerned about it ever since I noticed it, hoping I did not ingest any ink. I just wish that I had noticed it sooner so I could have returned it and possibly avoided ingesting ink. read more

The food was a little pricey for a fast food burger, fries, and drink and was around $13. You have to pay additional money for sauces about 60 cents per sauce. The apple pie shake was around $6 and was too sweet. The service was good and they were attentive. The ambiance was not as clean, but to be expected for a fast food chain with spills on the ground and the tables needing cleaning before sitting. Prob one of the WORST run Habits in SoCAL. Every single customer in this store is waiting for their food (see video). EVERY table has nothing for at least 20-30min. At the same time, all they are working on are take out orders that sit on the counter for 10-15m while NO ONE inside the store is served. The manager there is completely incompetent and a liar. We ordered our food at 1:48à. By 2:33p still nothing so I ask for a refund. First he refuses, as I ordered in store b/c I ordered at their kiosk. He told me I had to call corporate but also refused to provide that contact info. Then I started taking pictures and asking him his name, he starts the refund. He refuses to provide his name so corporate, feel free to use the pic to ID and you prob need to demote this guy as he has no idea how to run a line or a restaurant. He doesn't apologize at all and just says "I'm short staffed". There are 4 people in the kitchen cooking, maybe one guy called out but 4 people to run a burger joint is ample to where maybe it takes 10-15? Instead of 5m for an order. Not 45m to complete an order of 2 burgers. I like the Habit and we go all the time near our home in El Segundo and I'm just shocked at how bad this place is run. You need to prioritize diners before take out and you need to be able to direct your staff accordingly. Literally one guy was on the side cleaning instead of cooking so the whole 'short-staffed' excuse was just that. This man totally failed at his job and just blamed everyone else while not exercising any effective control on a kitchen and his staff that was present. We heard the patty melt was back so had to come in. It was just a delicious as it was last time it was on the menu! Hoping it stays and is not just seasonal. We were greeted immediately walking in. The staff is always friendly and made sure we had everything we wanted (ranch and bbq sauce). Their restrooms and tables are clean. We also love that the trash cans have options for recycling and food waste in addition to trash/landfill. Let's talk our delicious food! We both got the party melts but replaced the party with an impossible. It is sooooo tasty and cooked perfectly. Not oily. I love mine with ranch and my fiancé with bbq sauce. We also ordered onion rings and sweet potato fries. Our typical sides. Their onion rings are perfect. Crispy and just enough batter. The fries are good too. Pretty good option for hamburger charred on a grill. Our little trio got two charred hamburgers combos (a single patty and a double patty) plus a kids grilled cheese combo meal. Really delicious tempura fried green beans, nicely crisp and tender - it's vegetables right? The grilled cheese kids' meal is a full sized Texas toast grilled with American cheese, you can substitute the French fries with sweet potato fries, and it has one burger shaped gummy candy. Unfortunately the shake machine was out of service. But fountain drinks were self serve and refillable: I got a half and half tea and lemonade. They had hibiscus and pink limeade , plus a few other carbonated beverages root beer, orange etc... It's available for dine in or take out. There is a kiosk to place your order or use their app! A lot of tables and some booths. The kitchen is quite visible and you can see the flames grilling the patties. I like the quality of the meat patties: no freezer burn taste and made with rough grind. The bread was soft but held up to the patty, cheese and tomato plus pickle. I personally would have liked a bit more toast on the grill. It almost seemed like they wanted to avoid customers coming in, there was only one staff and she didn't seem too concerned about the sign, or anything else... sort of in a daze. I would give zero stars if I could. My Kids and I went here last night. We come to this location every weekend but normally on Saturdays for the past several years. So we have a consistent set of orders that we make: 2 kids favorites with fries and drinks. The guy at the counter last night took my order and he made series of mistakes on his end which would be fine but everyone behind the counter were rude especially the manager Juanita. The cashier said that the kids meals didn't come with drinks and that we had to pay for it separately. First time trying the habit and I pleased. There was a small line but it went by very fast. The person who took my order was nice and our food came out in about 5 minutes. My double charburger was perfectly cooked. I loved the jalapeño bar they had with pepperoncini and sliced jalapeños. Also their starberry lemonade and mango passion fruit lemonade was great. The Habit has been on a decline in the last 2 or so years. First, they stopped tossing their salads, fine. Then they started charging for dressing, fine. Now, they've put their salads on a flimsy recycled bowl. Also, they've put salad hardly had any chicken! I don't know what changed but this isn't the Habit that I knew.
