But future is coming for this place a place across from Mi Burrito is a former Filipino restaurant they have acquired it and by autumn to winter Mi Burrito will be in a larger facility and some up coming perks that would customers would love from want I am told. My wife got cocito sopa it look great enough beef and vegetables and cabbage and potatoes. Onions and limes on the side she is on heaven she is dealing with bronchitis and this help so much I got the wet burrito with green chili pork, first time having this. Very very good with beans and rice mixed in. Sauce mixed red and green and guac no sour cream. Good burrito definitely. Very clean establishment and customer service is on point. Great burritos, their salsa tastes amazing, and huge portions. I got a wet veggie burrito, half and half sauce, and it was a treat. It came with 4 tostada shells and salsa verde. Food was good, the burrito sauces were tasty and flavored well. I could easily share this portion size with another person. The hostess handling patrons and customers was super sweet to work with and order from. She did an amazing job handling customers that came into the restaurant. The restaurant itself was quite packed, get there early to secure a seat or (see if you can) call ahead of time. The price for the burrito was more expensive than typical places which is why I'd rate it 4/5 stars, otherwise 5 star food! read more

The atmosphere was extremely dark -- almost too dark. The restaurant itself is small and narrow, which gives it the feel of a dim alleyway, decorated with colorful Mexican festive banners hanging overhead. Some people may enjoy that style, but for me it felt overly dark and somewhat cramped. The service was okay. Nothing particularly good or bad stood out. As for the food, based on previous reviews, I expected something above average or even excellent. That really was not the case. If you regularly eat authentic Mexican food, the food here is simply okay. It is not bad, but it is also not especially good. I ordered the combination plate with two tacos, one enchilada, rice, and beans. The other person ordered one enchilada, one taco, rice, and beans. Since we eat Mexican food frequently, we have a solid idea of what good Mexican food should taste like. The food here was decent enough to eat, but nothing memorable. One thing I did not appreciate was the pricing structure. The menu combinations appear one way at first, but if you choose a meat other than ground beef, there is an additional charge of one or two dollars depending on the item. The restaurant does disclose this, but only in fine print, so make sure to read carefully before ordering. Overall, I probably would not return because I know what genuinely good Mexican food tastes like. However, if you did not grow up eating Mexican food regularly, you may enjoy this place much more than I did. It may appeal more to people who are less familiar with authentic Mexican cuisine. Solid tacos and burritos here. Today, I got tacos and mini chimichangas. They have Taco Tuesdays but the promotion doesn't apply if it's also Cinco de Mayo. On a separate occasion, I had their ceviche which comes quite large. Felt like its own meal; but sadly, I didn't really like it. Maybe there was too much of it so it felt forced to finish it. I also would order the wet burrito from here about once a month or so because it's really good and filling. The carne asada wet burrito with no lettuce. Service was decent today, but we had to ask for utensils (for scooping guacamole onto taco) and limes, which I thought should have automatically come with the street tacos. We called to let the restaurant know, and instead of apologizing or offering a solution, the employee simply asked if we wanted to drive back and pick up the missing items. We live about 20 minutes away, so returning wasn't a reasonable option. Mistakes happen, but what was most disappointing was the lack of customer service. Orders should be checked for accuracy before they're handed to customers, especially for takeout. A simple apology and an effort to make things right would have gone a long way. It's 10:45am nearly 11am. Only two customers were inside normally breakfast is a Mexican start to the morning. I am very disappointed in the quality of food that both locations have. Very bland. Not authentic. I normally don't make reviews like this and it sucks that the food doesn't have that authentic flavor you expect from most Mexican establishments. I have been here several occasions to see improvement? but the food doesn't taste good. Makes sense why these locations are mostly empty most of the time.. I ordered a small plate the albóndigas soup got only two meatballs very small and it wasn't pleasant to eat. No bay leaves, also the carrots, celery, potatoes and vegetables were firm almost as if they cut them and threw them into the soup. Lastly don't ask for Jamaica it's not made inhouse it's a powdered version tastes awful. Hopefully they revaluate their food and have their workers taste it and give an unbiased opinion my honest advice hire better cooks. If you order Uber Eats there are a lot of buy 1 get 1 free on tacos, burritos, enchiladas, etc. On to the food...flavorful with a powerful bites, finely chopped up protein and fresh flavors. I love it here!! Its a sit down but casual place, very modern seating but fun artwork and decor. I always get the shredded beef burrito and they are always kind about my modifications. BIG portions and tasty. My husband has gotten the carne asada plate often and it is SO flavorful with a good grill taste too. Ive gotten it myself too. I go here 3 or 4,times a month. Love the food. Decided to order to go. 2 carnitas plates, one with no pico, and a carnitas burrito, guacamole... just meat, rice. Beans. It comes with guacamole. No guacamole... add cilantro.... Which I thought was a condiment, just like add onions or ketchup.... But no, they wanted to charge for putting cilantro on my burrito. I came here when they first opened and have been going back since then. Within the Cerritos area, there aren't many Mexican restaurants, and this is definitely one of the best ones. The food is priced fairly and the portions are very generous. Most importantly, it tastes great! I hate it when places try too hard to "upscale" the food and compromise the traditional flavors of the cuisine; this place makes everything with authenticity. It's exactly the kind of humble and delicious food you're craving for when you want Mexican food. Some dishes I would recommend are the chimichangas, street tacos, their popular wet burrito, and the ceviche. We have eaten there several times now. The food isn't bad ... but their service is getting worse every time we go. Tonight we had to ask them to refill our water...water! And when they did, they didn't refill the other drinks ... ever! The entire meal service they sat there empty. 6 of us and we asked for mor salsa when the dinners came ... we asked for more salsa because we'd gone through the first two with the chips ... he brought us one small bowl ... for all 6 of us! We spent over $100 (on Mexican food!) and felt like we were begging for service the entire meal. I have to be honest, we go to Mi Burrito because my daughter-in-law grew up going there. Pretty solid Mexican food here. Started off with two house Margaritas ($12.00 each). The wife liked the spicy rim salt. I have to say, the food is very similar to Super Mex, from the meals, and even the chips and salsa. Although they do have a good street taco selection. It might be a chicken thing but we tried a wet chicken burrito and a regular version and they were both so dry. The wet was obviously better because of all the extra sauces on top but there was 0 sauce inside plus the chicken was sooooo dry. I was disappointed. Came here for the first time with my husband for an early dinner date. First impression was that the restaurant was small. It's good for small parties of 4 max. Service was okay, not the best considering they were not that busy, which made me kind of upset. I ordered the wet burrito with shrimp ( half red and half green sauce) and my husband ordered the tacos dorados but it's not called that here- it's more like a crunchy taco, but it was very soggy and it literally fell apart when he picked it up. The waiter saw that and brought him another taco that didn't fall apart, which was nice. I honestly didn't like the burrito I ordered because it's seemed flavorless and the shrimp was way overcooked because it tasted dry even though it was a wet burrito. Maybe I'm being biased because we have an amazing Mexican food restaurant in our neighborhood that I continue to compare other restaurants to, which I probably should stop doing. I met a friend here for dinner before going to a healing thing after. It's so cute and quaint inside. The ambiance is dimmed lights seats are close together but the service was fantastic!! Our server Sandra was awesome they gave us these flat crispy tortilla chips with salsa which was so good I loved that. It was happy hour so we ordered the nachos of course and shared and the Mini chimichangas which were also amazing with shredded beef. We also ordered strawberry margaritas tonight which was so good lol except i asked for less alcohol and my friend got more but I ended up with the stronger drink LOL but it was very good the nachos were amazing and the chips were crunchy the cheese was perfectly melted with guac. I had a very disappointing and disrespectful experience with a server whom I believe was named Blanca. My husband and I waited approximately 20-30 minutes for our food, while several customers who arrived after us were served and received their meals before we did. Despite our patience, we never received our order. What made the experience even more frustrating was that the server appeared to be very attentive and friendly with other customers, ensuring they received their food promptly, while we felt completely overlooked. If you go, just get them. Make sure you have a team with you to finish those crispy goldens. Wifey ordered a combo plate (chicken enchiladas). Oooooo boy.
