Everyone I know has raved about how amazing Chick-fil-A is. I decided to give it a try today with a family member. The first issue was that we had ordered three sandwiches, all with no tomato's and no pickles. When we received them they all had tomato's and pickles so I parked and walked inside and explained the situation. The employee helping us wasn't very kind and didn't seem to care. After we received the remade food we thanked them and went back into the car. Upon reviewing the food AGAIN, they had pickles. It was only a big deal because my family member has a severe allergy to pickles. So, we went in for a second time and explained again how we asked for no pickles, this time the employee helping us was nice however the crew were making audible comments about how we kept complaining about the food. There would be no need to complain if they simply did their job correctly the first time. They did get it right the second time, after that whole experience it really deterred me from ever wanting to come here again. The food was mediocre and it annoyed me mostly because I also work at a high-volume restaurant and I understand how it can be overwhelming and having to remake an order can be stressful; however, you are working there to service paying customers. We just left the drive thru after ordering my spicy deluxe sandwich I kindly asked the taller black haired guy with a standard haircut like his name is Jack if I could have an extra sandwich bag the reason being I like to put sauce in the bag and shake it to cover the chicken patty before returning it the the sandwich. I'm not understanding the reviews about the line... it's literally in a boxed in parking lot. You can see that before you enter in. Don't like it? Don't come. It shouldn't be a surprise it's a hassle to get into the line... and the line itself moves insanely quick. They have employees outside who walk up to almost every car. It's perfectly reasonable. The food itself is great. The chicken sandwich is fresh and the bun is my favorite. It's warm and soft. I saw a review from someone complaining about no lettuce or tomato on their sandwich... there is a deluxe version. The sauces are also really yummy, especially the chik fil a sauce! Ok...I finally tried this place out. Lots of buzz how great it is. With those expectations I was underwhelmed. I got the standard chicken sandwich with the main sauce. It was ok. Not great and not bad. My son asked why I didn't get the waffle fries. He's says they are great. Maybe if I go in the future I will try them. I did use the drive thru which was packed. One expects great food and friendly staff when they visit a Chick-fil-a. Our recent visit to the Chick-fil-a did not disappoint. We were greeted by a very friendly pair of order takers as we joined the line. Very personable and outgoing, they made placing our order fun and enjoyable. The line moved fairly quick, and we soon met another friendly face at the window. Our order wasn't quite ready, but we had a great conversation while we waited. We are a huge fan of Chick-fil-a. I would give a zero if possible . We ordered our food at 8:45. My husband looked up the hours before we left home and it said they closed at 10. We were 20 minutes into eating and nearly done whenever food young worker came up and told us to leave. Three minutes later a manager named Lena said she was gonna call the police if we didn't leave the restaurant in five minutes!! I thought this was a Christian organization. We have been to many Chick-fil-A's and always have had polite and good service. This restaurant was filthy. Update.... I believe 90% of companies are honest and want to do right, and not just lighten your wallet. However this location does not take responsibility for their mistakes, even when given multiple chances. Besides the opportunity to rectify their mistake on day 1, the next opportunity required I make an "appointment"to meet the manager...my life does not revolve around a set order. Second opportunity from head office resulted in a call I feel was genuine that passed the info to the franchise owner. The franchise owner sent me what appeared as a cheaply printed form letter that did not say anything of substance and failed to apologize for their error resulting in cold food. Bottom line the three $5 cards did not rectify a $40 screwup, did not result in their taking ownership, and underscores why I will take my business elsewhere. Buyer beware, things are not as they seem, and although food is good when they get it right the first time. Check your order, and "trust but verify." For a company claiming basis on Christian values, I am utterly shocked and disappointed, and my opinion is drop the claim unless your integrity and ethos matches. Bottom line.... Upon returning to the store, it turns out the store policy is they will replace the missing fry, but will not replace the rest of the order so you leave without fresh and warm food because they feel it is better you eat cold food because of their failure to get it right twice then to ensure their mistake does not become the customers problem. Chick-fil-A is a special eat out establishment that we sometimes choose when eating out. In the last 2 Months, we have been twice. The first time we pulled away without some of our order not in the bag and had to turn around. The second time the order was completely wrong and cold. The confusion in the parking lot with who was taking orders and who was taking $ seemed to distract the server today, which is probably the reason for wrong order. Probably one of the most infamous places for being closed on Sundays. It stinks that is the case, but their food and service certainly makes up for it. If you plan on going to this location, beware that it shares a parking lot with a Red Robin, so parking can get a little tight. If you go during any typical dining time, beware that you don't be able to find a parking spot in the lot or you'll be greeted with an incredibly long drive thru live that can sometimes spill onto the street. If you really want to get food and your encounter this kind of situation, going across the street and walking is always an option, and sometimes it's a much better option by spending less time waiting around and on gas from idling your car. Besides that, the good and service is great just like at any other location. They're respectful in the way they talk and the quality of food is as great as ever. I usually don't write reviews on the same day as having frequented an establishment. The timing can be all over the map. However, today, a staple of Southern Americana came (back) to the Portland metro area. Chick-fil-A opened a new store in Clackamas and, while the last one was in the food court at Clackamas Town Center when there was an ice skating rink there, this one occupies the site across the street where Chevy's Mexican Restaurant used to be. The store is a nice one and, with its brickwork and trellises, looks like it could fit in quite well in the burbs of its hometown Atlanta. Incidentally, College Park, GA is really its hometown. (College Park is where you may very well be picking up your rental car, parking your car on a long-term basis, or getting some "shut eye" if using ATL airport). The interior is large and airy, with ample space around the counter area and with a vast seating area. The interior is also slightly rustic, harkening minimally to Cracker Barrel, another native of the South. Maybe they're "kissin' cousins." Let's not go there. Moving onto the food, it's boilerplate Chick-fil-A and it has seemingly remained unchanged. That's a good thing. Mostly, it's about the chicken sandwiches, which come in different forms. For healthier fare, I prefer the grilled version, which also costs a little more. Then, I had to sabotage its healthiness by ordering it "club" style, which includes Colby cheese and bacon. The waffle cut fries have a good, lighter than usual "potato-y" taste and differ from those of Carl's Jr., which I also find to be good. True to their Atlanta area roots, they feature Coca Cola products. Thankfully, they do carry Cherry Coke, which I like, and had mixed with Coke Zero. With all that said, the chicken patty in my burger was tender and flavorful, thus almost perfect. The employees taking the orders and attending to the seating area were very polite, but then I find that employees further out in Clackamas, Washington, and Clark Counties tend to be more polite in fast food locales. I'm withholding the 5th star because, while it's not "as good as it gets" in the realm of fast food, I'm definitely a fan, having eaten at the Chick-fil-A in Peachtree Center in downtown Atlanta some 2 or 3 times a week when I "rode the rails" (read MARTA) there. The other thing is that, for this very typical trio, it's priced about a third of the way up between regular fast food and a chain operated "fern bar," but then Chick-fil-A is better than most fast food. To commemorate Chick-fil-A's arrival to Clackamas, I came up with a brief jingle for the occasion. Okay, I'm a Chick-fil-A junky. There, I said it. For fast food, their 12 piece Chicken Box is tough to beat with Cross Cut Fries which always, no matter where you go, taste fresh. Couldn't see the rest of her name tag) from the drive through was so sweet tonight and David E. exemplified impeccable customer service. *I* messed up our order and forgot to order fries (a travesty on my part). I ordered the fries via app whil we were in the drive through line to get our original order. When we got to the window, my husband mentioned the fries and how I'd just paid via app. I told them I was just going to run inside to wait for them since I'd messed up. David E. made sure we got our fries immediately so I didn't have to go inside. Maybe I appreciate CFA more now that we don't live 10 minutes from one or maybe I just had a couple off experiences before. Went here today for cow appreciation day. You dress like a cow and get a free entree. I got the Grilled Chicken Club & my son got the Chicken Nuggets with waffle fries and milk. The lines were crazy! But free food does that I suppose. The employees were all really attractive. It doesn't make me want to eat there of not eat there but they were all really attractive. My chicken sandwich was REALLY DRY. I didn't notice until later that there was a sauce packet in the bag. Typically the condiments are on the sandwiches already. It would've been nice to have mayo on it. I looked at the packet and didn't think my sandwich needed to be any sweeter than it already was so I ate it dry. The chicken has a really sweet tinge to it that I didn't care for. The nuggets too. Just sweet. The fries are pretty good but fries are pretty good other places too. I think it's fun for people to dress up and go out. It's a nice fun family friendly place. They have a kids play area, so big bonus points for that. The food was super fast! I don't normally do this but me and my co-worker received food poisoning from this location. I had to go to urgent care 4 days after because I wasn't getting better. My co-worker finally got better 3 days later. I called the 1-800 number. They asked me my order information and my symptoms. I wasn't asked if I was feeling better or if I was reimbursed via door dash. I have informed all of my co-workers about this but I thought everyone should know. Please be cautious. I am super healthy and I missed 2 days of work, had to pay for urgent care and medication but none of that mattered to them when I had called. Never eating there again. EVER! This was my first experience here. I ordered the chicken deluxe and the spicy deluxe. We ordered and paid threw and employee standing in the parking lot with a mini iPad taking orders, she seemed to know what she was doing and double checking orders! Rarely do we see people double checking orders at a fast food restaurant. Took about 7 minute for us to receive our food, The girl at the window re-double checked my order! That's amazing now I feel like I'm going to receive my order correctly!! Got home, the food was still warm! The fries could have used a little more salt..... But they were perfectly toasted and warm.
