This place is good! They "generally" manage long lines well (usually after school) and they treat customers with respect. The food here is also good, mine came out hot and mostly tasty with my only complaint being the tenders were a little thick which they can't control. The place here also very clean and seems to be always managed properly as employees are always waking around the area to clean trash. The only issue is that sometimes when it's busy they slip up. Lots of kids were pressuring the counter lady by getting too close and the lady kinda lost it and yelled really loudly for everyone to get back. read more

If you find yourself at the courthouse for any reason (jury duty, trial, whatever), this Chic-fil-a is a much appreciated spot to grab a bite quick. There was a less than 10min break from the courthouse, and I was able to walk across the street, pick up some food, and make it back in time. I don't usually leave bad reviews for restaurants owned or managed by Descendants of subjugated people... And this review is in no way a slight towards ownership... However the people you employ are the face and defacto representation of your establishment.. That being said... I went into this chick-fil-a because I received 2 door dash delivery orders... One from this restaurant... One from another restaurant nearby... The first pickup was from this restaurant... The application navigated me to this establishment and sometime between me proceeding to this restaurant and receiving the 2nd order my application froze on the second order but continued to navigate me to the 1st pickup @ Chick-fil-A... I informed the customer service representative that I was there to pick-up a door dash order not realizing that my application was frozen... So the name that appeared on my application was the name of the customer for the 2nd restaurant... After waiting approximately 10-15 minutes realized that the screen was frozen on the 2nd order that I was supposed to pickup... I informed tge cashier that I would try to pull up the order and if successful I would return to pick it up... As I turned to walk away I heard someone from behind the counter mention a ignorant remark regarding education... This person had absolutely nothing to do with my interaction up to this point but I guess she just couldn't control herself... As I was trying to access the order I noticed what seemed to be an employee at the end of the isle indiscriminately watching me... I noticed her for approximately 5 minutes or so before she decided to return to whatever she was doing prior to my drawing her attention away from it... Which I assume wasn't much because she was sipping on a soft drink while she was observing me... Shortly after she abandoned her post I decided to contact door dash customer support in hopes of resolving the issue... While I was on the phone with customer support I was approach by someone who said he was part of the security team for the facility and that I couldn't in his words "post up" in pick-up parking... Never asking me any questions... Just assumed I was just sitting there idly... But the issue with that was there was an white lady in a white van that had been sitting in a white van right next to my vehicle and he didn't seem to notice that she was sitting there before I returned to my vehicle... I don't think he would have even noticed me because other people were parked in the same area as long or longer... I believe he was egged by the person that made the ignorant remark and/or the person that was watching me from the isle... They may have been one in the same... Which brings everything to my conclusion... Why do we (black people) feel like it's okay to treat each other differently than we do everyone else??? Yet we wonder why we patronize other people... National chain of chicken sandwich restaurants. They are pretty much all the same. Same offerings, same price. I always get their diet lemonade, which is simply 3 ingredients. They are always kind on refills. There has been a lot of competition in the chicken sandwich game recently and Chik-fil-A is always consistent, fresh, and the staff are friendly. Yeah, they are not open Sundays. I don't agree with all their corporate values, and the drive through line is always long, but the food and staff speaks for itself. Shoutout to Michelle. Every time we go to this Chick-fil-A they seem to short me on my fries. Other than that it's a great location. With it being one of the only CFAs in the area they are super busy for such a tight locations. They get you in and out very quickly though. Receipt said chicken and the the print out on the bag said chicken but it was sausage. So she didn't have anything to eat. Also there is no way to contact this location to get the situation fixed. Called the number on the receipt no help. So the only thing you can do is go back up there. And who has that type of time when you have to work. So now I got to do them like I do McDonald's. I never though the day would come where I would have to write a bad review on Chik-fil-a. I stopped in around noon for a lunch time. First strike - the restaurant and bathroom was not clean. I probably could've over looked it ... but it's CHIK-FIL-A. I was excited to pee in a clean public restroom - nope. Second Strike - the nonchalantness of the staff. There was no acknowledgement, no excuse me while passing by, just gossipy chatter among the crew. Once again .... it's CHIK FIL A - nope. Third - the food. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich meal. ( my go to when I'm not ordered the spicy chicken) The grilled chicken was so little - it was like a grilled chicken strip. Then the bun was not whole grain - yes I noticed. This has been my go-to Chick-fil-A for nearly 15 years. It's located right near my work so anytime I need lunch on the way or I'm hungry after work I can go online and do a mobile order, then swing in and get my meal. The staff is always friendly and for a time one of the managers and his wife/girlfriend were customers of my store, so we were extra friendly to each other and they would always make sure my order was right and I had everything I needed. Earlier this week I was running late so I did an order online and went over to pick it up. They have the cones set up in a way so that you need to drive all the way around the building in order to enter the line for the drive through. I got there and there were no cars in line at all and two of the cones on the opposite side had been moved, allowing for an opening for me to pull in and avoid having to go all the way around the building to enter into the line. As soon as I did that the high schooler standing outside taking orders started shaking her head and the one down by the menu started shouting at me. The first girl stopped me and told me I had to back out and drive all the way around and enter into the lane at the beginning. I told her I was already there and had an online order and she again said I had to back up and move. So I told her that was the stupidest thing I had ever heard and to cancel my order. I understand having a system in place for peak traffic times. This was not one of those times and I was in a hurry, and the cones had been moved allowing me to enter into the lane. To have to back up and go all the way around just to end up in the same spot, that's pointless. The attitude of both girls was outright offensive, like I had committed a crime or something. Never wrote any review on yelp, but I thought I needed to write this one to warn other potential customers to be cautious when they munch food from this Decatur CfA. I ordered and got a grilled chicken burger meal (drive thru) along with other items on 12/28/2018. Got home and eating and felt like I just bit and gulped egg shells. Worse, those were some sort of black plastic pieces. My husband called and emailed them politely but haven't heard anything back from them yet. Just want to know what the heck I ate, where those are from, and some assurance that it won't happen again, especially given that it's near Decatur High. (Has anyone experienced something similar? I'm generally a big fan of chick-fil-a, but this location is an exception. The food here s the same but the service is incompetent, slow, and occasionally rude. Wrong orders are common. Long waits in the drive thru and inside are the norm. Large numbers of employees who just seem to stand behind the counter and talk to each other getting in the way of the one poor girl actually working is pretty standard. You know how hotels will go down in quality and lose their brand association like the Downtown Marriott is suddenly just the Downtown Inn? I feel like this is going to happen to the Decatur Chick-Fil-A, next time it'll just be Decatur Chicken. Do yourself a favor and drive to the one on Lawrence, even if you are in downtown Decatur you'll save time. read more

The best contactless experience I have ever had! I downloaded the app for the first time today. Loaded the chickfila card up (for reward points) and ordered my food thru the app. The app asks you everything from how you'd like to get your food, to the make and color of your car. We showed up about 2 hours later, got on the drive thru line (which was long but moved very quickly) and bu the time we pulled up to the window, the cashier knew my name and handed me my well packed bag! Seriously! I didn't have to touch nothing and no-one. Didn't even have to scan my phone. Everything's electronic, except for the very nice team members. It was the worst experience that I've EVER had at a drive thru. I pulled up to the drive thru window and the girl, (we'll call her Donna) at the window asked if my name was ____. I said no and Donna asked my name. I told her and she gave me a total and took my credit card. She gave me the wrong order and I told her that wasn't my order. Donna walked away (saying nothing to me) and a minute or so later she came back with a manager. I told Donna (in front of the manager), "To help you, next time repeat the person's order before you give them the total." The manager and I were smiling and nodding our heads. Donna, rolled her eyes up in her head and said in a very nasty tone, "I didn't hear you THAT's why I gave you the wrong order!" (You didn't hear WHAT? You just charged me and gave me a random order??!!) The manager and I both were stunned. The manager was telling her, "Yeah, that will help you..." Donna rolled her eyes again and, while I was talking to her, walked away while telling the manager, "Can I have a minute?!" It was the worst experience that I've EVER had at a drive thru. I told the manager that Donna does NOT need to be at the window. The manager and I were GENTLE in speaking to Donna but, girl didn't want to hear any of it . . . there will be NO IMPROVEMENT for her, I guess. This Chick-Fil-A makes SOOOOOOOOOO much money off of me (like 3x or more per week)! This location is frequently very busy, especially with the courthouse, Agnes Scott, and Decatur High being right there. I always take that into account and am very patient in the drive-thru, even though it can take 20 minutes to get through. :/ The employees are mostly very pleasant and the food is almost always great. The last several times visits though, have knocked a few stars off for me. Kid meal chocolate milks are forgotten, sauce or napkins aren't in the bag, or the wrong item was given. Today, I was given a medium fry that was literally 1/3-1/2 full. Really? When I walked it in, the lady hardly batted an eye. She just handed me a small fry to supplement the crappy medium. Do better, Chick-fil-A! 6/4- They didn't repeat my order at the speaker nor at the window. So of course, they got it wrong, creating a longer wait. We were also missing a hash brown. 6/9- Another star gone until this location shows improvement. I received an embarrassingly small piece of chicken on my biscuit. Like, the size of two small chicken nuggets kind of embarrassing. Were the line not 15 minutes long and I didn't have two babies in my car, I would have taken it right back to them. How many poor reviews does it take to make a change here? Every time I go I'm missing something. I've learned to check before leaving but should I have to pull everything out of the bag and verify I got what I paid for? Every other Chick-fil-A doesn't have this issue. Their classic sandwich was unlike any fried chicken sandwich I ever had. It looked and tasted like a real chicken breast and was really moist and juicy. It was pretty damn good for fast food. Coming from Boston, we only have 2 Chick-Fil-A's in the entire state and neither of them serve breakfast. I lived here for a year and come to visit Atlanta frequently, and look forward to their breakfast every time. The food is so delicious, I have absolutely no complaints about any of my orders (coming from a picky eater). The service here is nice too. There are all young kids that work here and they're all extremely professional and polite. Once I came here and there was a rude cashier (out of 50 other times) and he ended up getting fired. First and last time here. First, a "B" health score, second the inside of the restaurant was dirty, trash bin overflowing, trash on floors and tables, and the tables we sat at was sticky. The bathroom needed attention and there was no paper towels to dry your hands. The bun on my grilled chicken sandwich was cold as if it had been sitting waiting for an order to be attached to. So we are all pretty aware that when we are reviewing a well-known fast food chain like this one that it's usually a location-based review. And thats what I shall do here. I actually/generally speaking like Zaxby's better than Chick-fil-A. In my humble opinion their food is seasoned a little better although it can be a touch on the salty side. That being said, I hadnt eaten all day, needed to make it to the bank and I know Chick-fil-A to be quick. Not to mention I had a weird craving for waffle fries. This location was just that. Granted it was 3pm, long after the lunch rush. But I found the cashier to be friendly, engaged and quite helpful. If it werent for her I would have forgotten they offered Ranch dressing. And their Ranch is quite tasty indeed. I ended up getting a Deluxe Chicken Sandwich (fried) w Pepper Jack, Lettuce, Tomatoes and Pickles. The sandwich was pretty good. Nothing spectacular like my sandwich the other day from El Super Pan but then again its Chick-fil-A. Fries could have been a touch warmer/hotter. I also got an Arnold Palmer but forgot on freagin tart their Lemonade is. Luckily they had no issue pouring some out and putting more Sweet Tea. Still not a Waffle House Arnold Palmer but beggars cant be choosers. All in all cost me $7, saved me time and was satifying enough given the convenience. WOW I have never had a negative experience at a Chick-fil-A until today! The person who took my order was so dry I was almost ashamed to order. I felt like an inconvenience for stopping at the establishment. After completing my order there was no "my pleasure" response to my thank you, only a dry un huh!!!!
