Hattie B's Hot Chicken is a solid spot for fried chicken sandwiches. The chicken was juicy, well-seasoned, and cooked just right. The portion sizes were good for the price, and it was nice having a variety of sauces to choose from. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Although the restaurant is busy and often has a line, we found parking easily since they have small lots in both the front and back.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Indoor and outdoor seating are available.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Tried for the first time and it was an average experience. Service was ok. Food was ok. Unfortunately, the salad seemed old and wasn't very fresh. If I visit again, I'll stick to what they're known for. Overall 3/5.

Medium and mild chicken strips and (2) piece (thigh/leg). Sides are : potato salad, Mac and cheese, baked beans, and greens.

Justin was our server and helped us order. Very hospitable and helpful. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Atmosphere was calm with plenty of space to sit.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food is 10/10!

Food There was a small wait for the food but it came out hot and smelled great. I had the half bird in damn hot. The heat was a perfect level of spice where it had some heat but not over the top while also being flavorful. Crinkle cut fries were nice and crispy and the pimento Mac and cheese was fine. Service It was great. I walked in and no one was at the counter but in mere seconds someone came and greeted us and ready to take our order. I needed a minute and more people came in. A second cashier came up and ready as well. Wow! Prompt and aware. Ambiance [[HIGHLIGHT]]Casual spot with indoor and outdoor seating (some heating lamps too).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Parking lot is hectic and can get full.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The family ordered in from Hattie B's - Atlanta East location through DoorDash. I can't speak on the service or atmosphere, since I've never seen or stepped foot in the establishment. I had the Quarter Dark with Southern flavor, one Wing with Mild flavor and Pimento Mac & Cheese. The chicken was pretty good. It wasn't dry and the skin had a nice crisp. The Mac & Cheese was good, but I was expecting more umph to the cheese flavor (since I love pimento cheese). I also ordered the Peach Cobbler for dessert. I actually did not care for it. My serving lacked crust. The flavor of the peaches was a bit off putting. Being that I'm visiting the South, I desired the true southern taste of peach cobbler (minus the excessive use of sugar). I like peach cobbler that has a good balance of peaches and crust. I also like to have the savory flavor of nutmeg. Unfortunately, my serving did not have either.

--Location/Parking-- Located in east Atlanta, there is parking on the side and the back. If you are coming south on the road, it can be difficult to make a left turn into the parking lot. First timer mistake is to park in the neighboring next door lot which charges for parking. There is available parking to the front and right side of the building. I think you can park in the back, but I am unsure of how to get to it. --Ambience-- [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very southern, there are outdoor and indoor seating. Wood indoor floors and and on the furniture. I believe it was a gas station converted into a restaurant. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Outside seating gives a vibe of a hangout with its wide family style benches and cornhole set up. This gives a great sit down hang out type of vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] --Service/Staff-- Shoutout to Melo the cashier for helping me out since this was my first time ordering at Hattie B. A special shout out to Allen for taking care of the guest and looking out for the customers. I was so busy taking pictures and admiring the décor and the wait staff had to hunt me down to give me my food. Great top-notch service. --Products-- My ordered the jumbo chicken wings at medium spice level. The skin was crispy and delicious and was the best parts and there were huge chunks of chicken meat dripping off the wings. Highly recommend. I will try out the different heat levels on my next visit. --Capacity-- [[HIGHLIGHT]]Indoors can hold 30 plus people inside with various table size. Outdoors there were under the canopy plenty of seating to hold maybe 60 plus additional people. The bench seating could hold a party of 10 people, but I know people love to space out so I am being conservative with the numbers.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] --Overall-- Great hot chicken in the Atlanta area. I heard of Nashville hot chicken but did not expect the level of deliciousness in chicken. I will be back in trying out the different heat levels to find the one that matches my taste.

Apparently the secret is out and everyone is coming here on Sunday evenings for the best hot chicken in the city! My son ordered the medium grilled chicken with collard greens, daughter ordered the hot quarter bird with waffles as her side, and I chose the hot quarter bird with grits. My grits were so coveted by the family, I did not get a bite. The waffles were late in coming and the staff offered me a free dessert so I said banana pudding which is my favorite!!!! One was out the door when we left at 6:10 pm! Come here for Great food and fantastic customer service. If there is a problem, let them know, and they will fix it!

Service was great! She had really good recommendations for a newbie. Fried pickles had a great crispy coating, unfortunately, the pickles were bland and soft. My chicken wings were dry rubbed. Nice and crispy coating, juicy chicken wings. The sweet n smoky was a little too sweet with no hint of smoky and for me a bit salty. My hubby had the Damn hot, he didn't think it was very hot &did not like the texture of flavored coating. We both really liked the greens and the pimento Mac!!

Finally got to try this place after hearing about the long lines and hype of Hattie B's! Lines weren't as bad as when they first opened. The patio was nice and I appreciated the heaters. They really know how to make a good chicken sandwich with lots of chicken breast meat. Coleslaw was ok- really mayonnaise-y, which works well on the sandwich. Next time I'll stick with french fries as a side since the coleslaw is already on the sandwich. A couple of minutes after we got our sandwiches, they handed us our ice cream that we ordered. I thought that was perfect so we wouldn't have to stare at our ice cream melting while we're eating the main entree. The vanilla ice cream was a perfect dessert at the end of the meal!

So either they're eating the fries in the back before they send it out or they just have gotten real skimpy. This some BS. Pay almost $15 after tax and tip to get this bogus side of fries. Won't be back for a long time.

Came here with my son on a Friday night grabbed the last parking spot in front. Grace was excellent cashier and gave us recommendations on spice levels. We both got mild. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Casual atmosphere and food came out super quick.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My son rated it 10/10. We will def be back.

When I'm in the area, especially when I'm hungry, I always get Hattie B's! I love the 3 piece tender plate. My spice level is, "Damn Hot!" I love that they use habanero peppers for this spice level. For sides, I did try the Mac & cheese & greens. They were ok. But I always get the crinkle fries! Also I love the pickles that come with it. For sauces, I get Blue Cheese & Nashville Comeback Sauce! The Honey Mustard dipping sauce is good as well. If you want a drink, you have to purchase one. They do not come with the meals. I use the Hattie B's app to place my pick up orders. When you download the app., 1st time users get a free desert! Also you can collect points and use at a later date. The service is always friendly and fast. You can eat outside or inside. It's enough space but it does it get busy at times.

I wouldn't recommend the Korean bbq wings since it didn't have enough tangyness to it and didn't stand out. The French fries are a must order. The fries were so crunchy, and they were still crunchy even towards the end when we were almost finished eating. We arrived 30 minutes before they opened on a Friday and there were already people waiting in the lot which was crazy! It started raining while we were waiting in line and the line got even longer. If you're planning to try The Local, I would recommend coming on a regular weekday or come earlier if you're coming on the weekend because the line is crazy. There is some seating inside and outside the bar. We got there early enough to swipe a table. There were people standing and waiting for a table while waiting for their orders. Service was excellent! What initially brought me in was Atlanta Burger Week, and I ordered their featured burger to take advantage of the special. While the burger was good, the real star of the meal was the smoked barbecue fried rice with brisket. It was absolutely fantastic. The brisket was incredibly tender and practically melted in your mouth. The fried rice itself was packed with flavor and had such a unique, smoky taste that perfectly complemented the barbecue. It is not often that a side dish completely steals the show, but this one certainly did. The atmosphere was welcoming, the food arrived promptly, and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. It is always exciting to discover a restaurant that delivers something a little different, and Sweet Auburn BBQ does exactly that by blending flavors and cuisines in a way that feels both creative and comforting. I left full, impressed, and honestly a little disappointed in myself for waiting so long to visit. This definitely will not be my last trip, and I already know the smoked barbecue fried rice with brisket will be ordered again.

A few of us shared the BBQ Omakase, and I was pleasantly surprised by both the quality and the amount of food. The appetizers were a great start, the brisket egg rolls were crispy, packed with meat, and easily an 8.5/10. I also really enjoyed the pimento wontons. The standouts for me were the mac and cheese, baby back ribs, and brisket. I also ordered the fried rice, and it honestly tasted just like hibachi-style fried rice, so good! The only item that fell a little flat for me was the wings. That said, both my sister and my spouse really enjoyed them, so it may have just come down to personal preference. The service was a little slow, and it took a while before we were able to place our orders, but our server was pleasant and friendly throughout the meal. Overall, I was very impressed. The food was flavorful, the portions were generous, and everyone in our group left full with enough leftovers for the next day. I'd definitely come back!

It wasn't busy at all on a Wednesday night. Signs indicate that you should seat yourself wherever available and to head to the counter to make your order. I ordered takeout, so I can't speak about the dine-in experience here. FOOD: We ordered a double order of the wings and asked for their two most popular flavors, which were the lemony pepper wet wings and some other flavor (couldn't hear the worker clearly, but just went with it). The order came with fries and a choice between ranch or blue cheese dipping sauce. Maybe I am not used to the flavor profile here, but I found the wings to be excessively salty (and I have a preference for salty food). My tongue is still tingling as I write this review. Also, the lemony pepper wings tasted like they were coated in pure citric acid. The other flavor was drowning in sauce. The wings themselves were so dry that it felt like I was eating chicken jerky. SERVICE: Food came out within ten minutes of us ordering. No frills place, so expect no frills service. No complaints. They have a bag-it-yourself policy. TLDR// This might be the first place to actually convince me that overseasoning is actually a thing. Excessively salty, dry chicken wings that my tongue is still paying the price for. Would not come back, and I would try a different spot for lemony pepper wet wings.
