I have eaten before at Chick-fil-a but my family and I ate at the Decatur location (E. Trinity) this last Monday (10/24) around 4:30pm and got horrible food poisoning. All 3 of us who got the chicken strips fell sick. My dad and I are still recovering. My mother got a turn for the worse. We are considering medical help because she's in a lot of pain. A rep from the company called earlier to ask how we were doing. Since I'd thrown out the receipt I couldn't ask for reimbursement and it wasn't offered. All she said was how sorry she felt we were sick and did we see a doctor. No mention of looking into the items that caused it or who made them. I am furious. If you care for your gastric health, stay away from this eating establishment. Far, far away. And I pray Mom won't need a hospital stay. read more

WOW I have never had a negative experience at a Chick-fil-A until today! The person who took my order was so dry I was almost ashamed to order. I felt like an inconvenience for stopping at the establishment. After completing my order there was no "my pleasure" response to my thank you, only a dry un huh!!!! I thought face to face when getting my food would be better, but sadly enough it wasn't. So very disappointed I never even got a thank you. I walked to this Chick-fil-A for lunch and it absolutely made my day. The service was exceptional even amidst a pandemic. I was greeted by not 1 but 3 people outside as I waited for my food. The girl outside taking orders even offered for me to stand outside the red canopy because it started to rain. I was having a rough day at work and to go there and be treated with such kindness was awesome. This location needs a traffic guard on busy mornings. Limited parking, awkward parking lot and too many cars make for a terrible experience even before walking in the door. The drive thru wraps around the building and blocks 8 parking spots. A traffic plan is a must. read more

Additionally, I ended up buying Chick-fil-A sauce at Publix because they have never given me any, even when I've asked and its been included on the receipt. On 3-16-2017 I made a drive-through purchase that took 21-months mutes to complete. In addition, for the fourth time they left a major item out of my bagged order, this time the salad dressings. The salads where meagerly filled. The chicken was half of what has been on previous orders. I was livid. Extremely angry. I called this Chick-Fil-A location and asked for the manager. I talked to an Assistant Manager. After hearing my story of this visit and past visits, he assured me that he would make things right. Having had to rush to a meeting, I was not able to take him up on his offer to drop off the missing items. This was unusual, as this has ever been Chick-Fil-A's response in the past. On returning home I was very surprised to find and apologetic note and coupons. While the coupon where not needed, they Whete appreciated. Chain fast food restaurants serve the same food as the chain, so there should not be any variability, except when there is. The major difference between this Chic-Fil-A and every other is the super high quality of the soon-to-be-at-a-college-near-you workforce. The young folks -- and they are young -- that work at this Chick-Fil-A are consistently polite and professional. Admittedly, I do not dine in a lot. This is the WORST chick fil A I've ever been to. I'm usually pretty understanding that mistakes happen. This location makes a mistake EVERY time I visit. Worst customer service ever! Order drive thru late night. They got my order extremely wrong so drove back went inside with receipt and was understanding. Assistant manager was not friendly and quickly put old sandwich in the bag and got the order wrong again while I was standing there! Told her is was wrong again. She blew, grabbed the rest dropped it in the bag with no eye contact and walked away. It was so bad the lil girl that was the cashier saw and was like sorry about that. I said no problem. This a review for all Chick-Fil-As (frankly they are all the same unless you opt to complain about a specific costumer service experience at specific location and that ain't my style). Politics aside, I love me some Chick-Fil-A and the awkward, teenage, workforce that serves it. Chick-Fil-A is the quintessential fast food staple of the south. The west coast has In and Out. The north-east has White Castle. This is our offering to the global fast food conversation. A noteworthy addition indeed. I have been going to this CFA for 3 years now before school for breakfast, and sure I've had a few times where the customer service isn't the best but I always have a good breakfast. What can you expect from a CFA that is right next to a high school, middle school, private school, collage and with easy access to children from 6-7 elementary schools. They are also right next to the court. They also hire a lot of kids from the high school for their first jobs. I think they are doing great for their circumstances and there are a lot of things that could be improved. read more

This is the closet Chick-fil-A to our house. We gave it so many chances because we really wanted it to work out. Salad after salad without the add ons in the bag (Southwest without the toppings), multiple missing items, rarely a "my pleasure", and I finally complained. Did the owner of this Chick-fil- A answer? I live beside this location and I do my best to not order from here. Occasionally I have to, because it's the only fast food restaurant in walking distance. My order is usually missing something; dressing on the kale salad, sauce that we were asked if we wanted, regular drinks for diet and yesterday was the worst. I ordered chicken noodle soup and I guess they ran out of regular chicken so they put fried chicken in the soup. It was gross! I think it was old chicken because it tasted freezer burnt, so not good. read more

After trying three different Chick-Fil-A locations and putting up with a dozen school Spirit Nights, I can say with certainty and conviction that Chick Fil A is the most overrated garbage since Dunkin Donuts' "coffee." I will start with the chicken. It's bland white meat with a gross coating. The stuff in the generic packaging in the Kroger freezer tastes better. It's so full of unpronounceable ingredients--I can't say which one is most prevalent. The fries make me sick. For real. It must be the petroleum by-product that they're cooked in. It doesn't taste like something that humans are meant to consume. The worst product (don't call it "food" because it doesn't meet enough criteria) is anything with the imitation ice cream in it. It has a greasy plastic consistency, and the aftertaste screams "Exxon Valdeez!" There are many people who are so used to grilling with lighter fluid that, if you give them a burger and it DOESN'T taste like butane, they can't eat it. This is the only explanation I can come up with for Chick Fil A: People grew up eating this horrible-tasting garbage, and they are so used to it, they can't imagine a chicken sammich that DOESN'T taste like dumpster diver rejects. This location is great at pushing through the line quickly. With the courthouse across the street, the lunch period is chaotic. I needed to wait a little bit longer before I was able to receive my food order, and was presented with a couple of complimentary vouchers for a next visit, for having to wait. I eat at Chick-Fil-A frequently and I've been a loooong time customer. I've patronized Chick-Fil-A's from Valdosta Georgia to Athens Georgia. I frequently go to the Pine Lake Location (excellent service, clean, friendly nice playground, and their Tortilla soup is the best of the best) and the Tucker/Lavista (also excellent service clean, and nice playground) and North Druid Hills drive thru (their food is always hot and ready) Also, I've been greeted by the Manager(s) multiple times at Lavista, Pine Lake and even their Lilburn store. They are always professional and welcoming. Something is missing in Decatur. They've been around for about 12 years, and they have gone down hill over the past 5 years. This location has always had quality control issues. I dislike just about everything, except it's super close to my house. I seem to always have an issue with my order. 90% of the time something is left out. They never put the BBQ sauce with my grilled chicken sandwich, Fixings with the Salad, etc, and they NEVER EVER EVER ASK if I "need anything else" Someone on here posted a photo of container half full of Waffle fries. I can assure you that is not an isolated incident. I experience the same thing frequently. My order today was dry, stale and luke warm (tortilla soup) and not very filling. The chicken patties here seem to be a lot smaller here compared to other stores. Waffle fries were overly crispy and luke warm (not good) The employees at this location are almost always indifferent, and not very professional. It's a shame because it's in a excellent location. Quality is an issue here, and I'll happily drive 20 minutes further to have a better experience elsewhere. read more

This place is really busy but the staff isn't very friendly. On more than 3 occasions I've gotten home only to realize I was missing fries or was given 8ct nuggets instead of what I was charged, a 12. I never go back for to reclaim the missing items because it's just too inconvenient. I don't think they do it intentionally either. Today my order was missing my daughter's chicken sandwich, so I had to go back. As compensation, I was given a BOG for free ice cream or cookie. That is ridiculous! read more

This is the first time I have to write a bad review for Chick fil A. This location was so awful. When I first came in, 2 trash bags were over loaded, and all of the trash were outside of the trash bags. Then I went to restroom to wash my hands, and found out there was no paper towel, and the toilet area was so messy. I talked to the lady who brought food to me, and she was like "okay." That's it. After sending almost 20 mins to eat, I went back to the restroom, and now I just saw another lady walked in to replace the paper towel. It took them 20 mins to do it?!? And the paper towel machine didn't properly! Paper towel got stuck inside and wouldn't come out, and the toilet area was still messy. Food has always been good here, but if the employees are supposed to be wearing masks as a pandemic measure, they have forgotten that air (and particles) comes out their noses as well as their mouths. At the drive through the other day we saw at least 3 employees with their masks pulled down below their noses, giving only a semblance of any protection. I know masks are annoying, but how much more so is dying or having permanent lung or kidney damage? Won't be going there again. read more

Pretty terrible. I enjoy Chick-fil-A. This place is a poor representation of what Chick-fil-A should be. I've had three separate disappointing experiences there. First, I ordered two spicy chicken sandwich meals and honey mustard at the drive thru only to get home and find three fries and one sandwich and no condiments. Bizarre right? The next time I went inside, hoping I could make sure my order was correct on the spot. I ordered two spicy chicken sandwich meals and instead received two regular sandwiches. I asked the cashier why and she said I had ordered regular sandwiches. It was disheartening. Third, on a different occasion, I ordered an Arnold Palmer and received non-sweet iced tea. I was unaware Chick-fil-A even served this drink. To add injury to insult, the traffic and overall layout of this restaurant are deplorable. There is no rhyme or reason to the set up. If there are too many cars inside the parking lot, no one can get in or out. Further, the staff is sometimes pleasant but compared to other Chick-fil-As, the staff are pretty mediocre in terms of helpfulness and friendliness. read more
