The only downside was that drive thru on an early morning weekday for breakfast was very slow, but service was friendly and courteous. It took almost 15 minutes to grab an order to go. I remembered that Chick-fil-a had decent shakes, so I ended up ordering the in-season Peppermint Chocolate Chip Shake. I certainly didn't love the flavor since it tasted similar to mint toothpaste, but it tasted ok enough. I should've opted for the Frosted Lemonade instead. What caught me by surprise was that you could order ahead on the Chick-fil-a app. We ordered ahead on the app as we found out that we were eligible for a free chicken sandwich. We approached the drive thru and found this location to have a double drive thru lane! I've never seen that before at a Chick-fil-a. We notified the associate standing outside that we had ordered ahead. She acknowledged that she could see our order in her device and then advised us to proceed ahead. It took a few minutes as the drive thru was pretty busy. Our order came out correct. We ended up paying cash as they noted that our credit card in the app was expired. Dear Chick-fil-A Flagler location, I love your fries when they are not soggy, I love the sauces, I love the grilled chicken when it's hot. But, 7 out of 10 times the order is incorrect. Either the wrong nuggets, missing panko for the Lemon Kale Caesar Salad (which is a great addition to the menu - I hope they keep it!) concerns: cold grilled chicken, ran out of panko (we were not advised and went back inside the store to request it) if staff advises they are out it's fine - it would be nice to het the heads up and lettuce have black tips. Now on to ordering Nuggets, there are Grilled and Chick-fil-A. When ordering I specify grilled and still get the Chick-fil-A..... got to get them changed. Could staff double check Grilled or traditional ones? If it's on paper it should be easy because it's on the order. Since mistakes have happened with the orders we have chosen to enter the store, order, CHECK THE ORDER before you leave to ensure we are getting our order correct. Came by here to get a free chicken sandwich for teacher appreciation day with my wife and kids. We were immediately told that the promotion ended at 7. We showed up at 720 but we had taken a screen shot of the promotion and clearly said the promotion ended at 8. The manager came up with some story about they weren't doing the free sandwich thing but they decided to honor some to be nice but that it ended at 7 and there is nothing they can do. Now I know it's a free sandwich and we aren't entitled to anything but come on! Teachers deserve any little bit of recognition and gifts they can get. This manager could've easily honored the promotion and out of the kindness of his heart let alone the very real screen shot of the promotion that said it ended at 8. read more
