It's a solid place for a chicken chop chop bowl, and to me it seems more generous portions than the original. It's a "paint by numbers" place like I call them. For me, I start with a bed of brown rice, fresh lettuce (I usually ask for more tomato than lettuce), and chicken as well as different seasonings. Ever since going earlier this month I've returned about 4 times. Love eating at 3 Chefs. The chicken is consistently delicious and fresh. I love to eat the chicken with the vegetables. It's a nice healthy meal. I downloaded the app and go inside to pick up my order, which is really quick and convenient. The service is always super quick and friendly. At 9:30 in the morning, when the restaurant wasn't even open yet and the parking lot was virtually empty, they put a boot on my car and demanded payment to remove it. What a great find! Arriving in town for alumni weekend, I was looking for something small but health. While the menu is pretty big, I landed on the kids plate, that included a full marinated, juicy and tasty chicken breast. It was put atop a bed of rice (choice of 3 types). A very hefty serving! We spent $48 for two drinks, a potato with chicken, a burrito, and a kids meal. The pricing felt high for what we received. There was a clear language barrier with the person making the plates, and communication was difficult. Despite six employees behind the counter (including two casually chatting), only one person was preparing food--even with a long line of customers. As a first-time visitor, I wasn't aware I needed to request add-ons for my burrito; it was made with only chicken and rice. When I asked for beans and cheese, I was charged extra for cheese, which felt excessive. The dining area was not clean--every table was dirty except the 8 top in middle, I ended up cleaning my table myself with a rag. The floor was also very dirty in front of soda machine with people just stepping in it and tracking it all over the floor. The most concerning issue, however, was the grill area. When I went to ask for the bathroom key, I noticed the grill where chicken was cooked appeared extremely dirty, with visible fat buildup dripping down the front and trays under collecting chicken fat and grease. It's hard to believe the equipment is being cleaned properly. The restroom was poorly lit, with black walls and fixtures, making it difficult to see and suggesting it may not be regularly cleaned either. Been going to 3 Chefs and a Chicken for many years over on Bird road. Very happy this new location has recently opened up. I like to think of 3 Chefs as a bit of a higher quality Chicken Kitchen. You definitely get more for your money here and I think the food has more flavor. For those familiar with the South Miami/Sunset Place area, this is the exact spot where the Wendy's used to be on the corner. Inside is spacious, modern, nicely decorated, & has quite a few different seating area options. There are tables, ottaman style bench chairs, & some very comfortable booths. There are a few small tables on a patio. From having eaten at both locations, I'm happy to say the quality & portion sizes have carried over. The soda machines are the modern touch screen versions with Pepsi products. This location is currently having a soft open with a formal grand opening on February 18th. The drive-thru will start at the time of Grand opening. read more

I absolutely love 3 chefs and a chicken. They are always consistent. And now located in the Gables! Life couldn't be better. Having a nice healthy meal during work hours is always delightful. Today I'm enjoying a nice low carb Chefen: lettuce , tomatoes, chicken, and a wheat pita. This location is just off US1 and red road. The parking lot at this location is the biggest improvement as well as the inside dining. Tons of more room from the bird road site. This is definitely going to be a fan fav! And they are opening a Mojo donuts next door!! You just can't beat this place! Just as good as the bird road location. Come by and get it out if you haven't already. read more

The large size can literally feed two people. My pro tip would be to not mess around with the lettuce or the tomato, but instead to go all in on the chipotle sauce. Wow! This place is awesome! I was starving after a long day at school and decided to try this place out for the first time. Restaurant is really well maintained and the employees are very nice as well. I ordered a general chefén which comes with choice of rice, beans, lettuce, tomatoes, chicken, and a side of pita. I decided to amp it up and add sweet plantains to it, along with chipotle and garlic cilantro sauce. Mmmm, mmm, good! The chicken is juicy and not to mention, FRESH.
