This Chick-Fil-A sits on 8th Avenue down from the Kroger on the hill and is not your standard CFA location. It's designed for pick-up and takeout instead of the casual dine-in location. They have the dual drive thru lines like all locations, however they feature a few walk-up windows and a nice outdoor patio. While the set up is different, the service is the same cheerful CFA you'd expect. The place can get a bit hectic, as most locations can these days, so be mindful when pulling in and out. The lines sometimes even dump in 8th, but they keep things moving fairly well. Literally THE WORST Chick-fil-A in Nashville! First off their drive thru setup sucks and must cause almost 100 accidents an hour. You have people flooring it to go all the way around the building just to enter the queue. Others turning left out of the exit you're only supposed to turn right from. It's all excruciatingly slow and the people who fulfill the orders often completely ignore requests like hold the pickles or just one pump of sweetener. Doing the pick-up or carry-out counter isn't any better. Their outdoor seating is perfect for anyone who enjoys breathing in car exhaust. The people who work at this location all act like they can't be bothered to smile or provide the usual excellent Chick-fil-A service. I choose to go to this chain because it's different from all the rest. This is the only location I've been to where you're paying more to have just as bad an experience as any other copy/paste corporate fast food place. While I absolutely dread entering and exiting this location (heavily congested area), it's the closest to me and I have consistently good experiences here with their staff. They are almost always slammed, but do their best to get you in and out and food is always up to par with my expectations of Chick Fil A. I want to preface my review with: I absolutely LOVE Chick Fil A and this is one of the few fast food joints I dine at. I have been to CFA headquarters, met San Cathy etc and am a HUGE fan of CFA. So to give this specific store a 1* review is purely because of the terrible service, lack of stewardship and the nonchalant attitude which is NOT the standard that CFA stands for. I wish this was not the closest CFA store so I never have to deal with ordering here but unfortunately that's not the case. Every time I want to order I actually have to reconsider if it's worth my blood pressure if I should instead go to Sonic bcos Sonic just is ughhhh food quality but even the staff there is consistent with the Sonic brand. The Drive Thru is worse than a nightmare. Nothing can be changed and whoever designed the flow needs to never design another drive through. The menu board has items they do not offer and they let you buy stuff like Mac and Cheese as a premium side but have run out without giving a refund. The Frosted Lemonade is too tart and trying to change it out to a vanilla shake and you just get a Sorry we can't do that even though I paid and extra $3 upcharge for my meal... It is just so exhausting that I'd even consider eating at a McDonald's (even though I quit eating at McDonald's 20yrs ago) so that says a lot! There's no clean table available since no one ever bothers to clean the outside dining area and there are no hand washing stations/restroom or wet towelettes provided. Oh and check your order bcos there's a guarantee that they'll forget something... like the ice dream or kids toy etc. And forget about ever expecting a smile, Thank you, It's my pleasure etc which is what CFA takes pride to always offer since it is non existent in this location. Today I ordered a meal at this drive thru Chick-fil-A and Antrice who took my order had a real bad attitude. She sauntered over to my car after I waited for her to finish talking to another employee, then she treated me as if she was too good to take my order!! She didn't inform me or the upcharged either. From employees who would not acknowledge customers, to food being left off the order, to "our only bun is frozen but it might be thawed by the time you get home". Definitely seemed like a normal chick fil an experience but my biggest complaint with all chick fil a is that there's no menu at the drive thru. I feel so rushed with a person immediately speed walking up to my car window and then I always forget something because I can't look at a menu. When I asked the guy taking my order to look at a menu he flipped his iPad around and it was just a bunch of different food item buttons. Definitely not a menu. There was one time I asked for a menu and the guy told me I could look a menu up on my phone while he took the peoples orders behind me in the drive thru. Like definitely not a good drive thru experience. AND they are stingy with the sauces. If I say 4 ketchup I mean 4 ketchup. I was reimbursed by DoorDash, however my qualm is with an organization who's sole responsibility is to ensure fulfillment that customers get the order they placed. I spoke with the manger on duty and in essence it was related that this is a franchise location and that adherence to corporate quality assurance policies weren't as stringent. I will be reaching out to the corporate office since having such a small goal to hit is so unachievable that meeting the expectations of customer's order isn't a concern for this location. This has got to be the least efficient CFA in town.. and it's not the employees fault! It's an awful set up with no indoor seating, no curbside pickup, and very few parking spots. I've also heard the management here contributes to poor efficiency. The staff is always very kind and I can tell they're trying their best with a bad deal. I ordered in the app a few days ago around 7:15am and it took 20 minutes just to go through the drive through even though I ordered ahead. The food is still good but this really isn't fast food given how long you have to wait. Your best bet is trying to park and order at the window but this is also dicey. As a CFA silver status member, I come here ALL the time. Sadly after moving right behind this location, I'm already going far less because it takes so long. read more

The issue starts when the young lady who took my order called me a sir, and than laughed after correcting herself ( I don't see what was funny and I was very respectful). What I do not appreciate need is: 1. A truly cold interaction with the lady at the pickup window 2. Being passive aggressively told how to turn out of the parking lot by the lot lady, and when I told her I am trying to turn and it's not possible, I get a voice-raised and even more passive aggressive "Let me get you out!" - literally the most annoying interaction I've had in fast food with an individual while I have enough I'm trying to focus on like chaotic oncoming traffic.
