I've tried Slim Chickens 3 times since it opened and every time felt that the food was fine, but not spectacular. I like all of the sauce options, but the tenders are really small. Hubby literally thought they were large nuggets because he ate them in two bites. You can get the sauce on the side for dipping, or you can have them tossed. The first time I got tenders I had sauce on the side and felt there wasn't enough included for all of them. Last time I ordered them, I had them tossed, but since it was pickup, the breading on the tenders was soggy by the time I got home to eat. Maybe it would be fine if I ate them there, which I may try sometime after the pandemic. I've also tried the cayenne ranch chicken sandwich, which was good but not spicy at all. On a positive note, the staff is very friendly and service is pretty quick, even when there's a line. Ordering on their app is easy and their curbside pickup is very efficient. They have spots in front designated for curbside; when you pull in, a staff member comes out to get your name, then they bring out your order. The dinning room was mostly empty with several people leaning behind the counter. After we ordered we went to sit and every table was dirty. We were still walking around when they brought our food out trying to find a place to sit. They took out good back and cleaned a table for us. I was wanting Raising Canes but saw they were not opened in the area yet, so we decided on Slim for food. Normally I have a good experience there but this was the worse. We witnessed the workers giving the workers from Canes a hard time and just treating them very rudely. They basically denied them service because of their uniforms. They told them that they do not need to coming in there with that kind of stuff on. I also noticed the manager locked a girl out when it looked like she was in need of the bathroom. It is just very disgusting that they would act that way to a fellow fast food worker. They did not the pick the location for their restaurant. Also, the place was very nasty and sticky. The tea dispenser was dirty and empty. Trash was piled up and the tables were dirty. The workers were rude and did not want to help with anything. I can not wait until Raising Canes open so I can go somewhere nice and fresh. This place needs some help to keep them in business. read more

The chicken is good as are the fries. The mac and cheese is the best of any fast food places like KFC, and Bar-B-Cutie. Not as good as Hattie B's, but still very good. So this place, not gonna lie... I crave like once a week. The chicken tenders are amazing, the fries.. the wings which I usually get the Parmesan garlic, the coleslaw (which most places it's a miss, this was def. a hit) The dessert jars are so good (and great to keep to use as drinking glasses after).
