First time here at the new CfA in Red Oak. No Bun Grilled Chicken, Side Salad - Chili Lime Vinaigrette Dressing. Charred Red Bell Peppers.
    Laura C.

Who doesn't love Chick-fil-A? Right? It's true that CfA has better than average fast food. It's also true that the peak dining times at just about any of the franchises can be pure misery with long lines and lots of noise. In these two areas, the long awaited brand new franchise in Red Oak does not disappoint. In addition, the restaurant was built at an already very troublesome and congested intersection. Maybe there's more street changes coming that I know nothing about. I can only hope. The interior of the restaurant is very modern, bright and clean; but they have started with an already too small play area. The dining area is barely big enough. Which brings me to the usually too small bathrooms. At least here, there are two sinks. Thank you. The service was a bit jumbled. Training was happening. I can be forgiving of that. I had a gift card and redeemed it for a no bun grilled chicken sandwich - add pickles - add extra pickles; please, extra please. This is where I always wish they had onions and I still don't understand why they do not have them! They don't have onion rings; but I'm talking sandwiches, salads and flavor here!! No onions. Seriously? The chicken breast was a dark brown with black grill marks. Suprisingly, it wasn't too dry. However, having to stare at pickles must have got to somebody. Extra pickles means more than four of them to this girl, so I went back for more. The $4.39 sandwich was free. Not the best chicken ever; but okay for a little over $4 and better than some. I also ordered a side salad which frankly, mostly underwhelmed. For $2.89, this mostly Romaine lettuce salad does have a sprinkling of red cabbage, carrots, a cheese blend with (2) grape tomatoes; but it hit the spot when combined with the lettuce, tomatoes and pickles from the sandwich. It does come with a packet of Charred Tomato Crispy Red Bell Peppers which add 6 grams of fat and 6 carbs to the salad. I didn't know they were coming; but I didn't see the nutritional value and didn't eat them. They would have helped the overall flavor; but I'd rather have cucumbers. They do have an absolutely delicious no fat and 9 carb Chili Lime Vinaigrette salad dressing at Chick-fil-A, just a little spicy. Supposedly 129 restaurants across Texas offer Jalapeños. You have to ask. I've never had one say yes, yet; but I forgot to ask here. The restaurant itself was sparking clean everywhere. My water was given to me in a to go cup with a lid. I would not have been charged extra for salad dressing for my sandwich. Service was super friendly, as always. There aren't too many always clean, low priced, yet healthy fast food options in this area yet. This place is going to be wildly busy until there's some competition.

Let me start off by saying I love Chick-Fil-A, but this location unfortunately seems to be getting worse every visit. This is the closest location to our home, but now I may have to start driving farther to get better food quality. I will say the service of the staff is normally not my complaint. But Chick-Fil-A is suppose to be known for its exceptional drive thru service. Every time my husband and I visit, something is wrong with our food. It's either cold, soggy, and not the best quality I've had at other locations. Overall the food never feels fresh. I normally never leave a review, but I was so disappointed in our food tonight. We ordered large fries that were not even half way full. The fries were cold and soggy, and sadly this is a constant issue at this location. We are paying for a large but might as well be paying for a small. My husband's sandwich had pickles on it after asking for no pickles. He also paid to have bacon added to his deluxe sandwich and they also failed to put bacon on his order. Overall very disappointed in our experience.

Tasty food- DOES NOT HOLD TEMP when held up by bad-slow service.

I placed my order. Initially the young lady only brought me the two drinks. A few minutes later she brought out the hot food items and she thought that was it. I told her I was still missing my three ice dream desserts. I reiterated they should have cookie crumbles on them. She then came out curbside a third time with the ice dreams in a closed bag. I thanked her and opened the bag only to find no crumbles in any ice dreams. I blew my horn at a manager(black shirt) outside who swiftly looked at me then looked away-kept walking- and proceeded to continue to walk into the restaurant. I moved my car closer into the handicap parking and hung my tag then, I went inside and asked for the crumbles from my order from the young woman. She states that the supervisor, Swinton(blue shirt), told her I didn't order any. I then showed her my order on my phone which clearly shows the charge and she tells him I in fact ordered crumbles. He doubles down that it was not on my order. I show home the same screen. He tells me to go outside and get the ice dreams. I said absolutely not! That was now the fourth trip to get my ONE ORDER! He said they aren't allowed to just give crumbles and I said that's a lie. They left them off my order a few days before and simply went back in and brought them out in a separate cup. This kind of service is deplorable. I only eat here because it's the nearest Chik-Fil-A NOT BECAUSE OF THE SERVICE! I basically had to threaten to tell my bank the entire purchase was fraud since Swinton did not want to give me the 30 cent crumbles I paid for.RIDICULOUS! And to tell me to go back to the car and get them was simply unacceptable. The restaurant was clean and there was no line for waiting... not sure why Swinton felt the need to look up my transaction rather than the confirmation receipt I was showing on my phone. The wiener and operator here really needs a customer service one-on-one with the leadership team. Who would lie for 30 crumbles on a $25 order?! They need to open a Chik-fil-A in Desoto or Lancaster as a different service option asap.

I drove to this red Oak location this morning; first I ordered a chicken biscuit with the bacon egg and cheese biscuit. When I opened the bag there was no bacon egg and cheese biscuit in the bag. I quickly returned to the location and made them aware of the mishap. They apologized then prepared me another sandwich. Without a doubt I took the bag without inspecting it and drove home. Soon as I got home and open the bag, lo and behold there was a Bacon biscuit sandwich with no egg or cheese. This is the worst Chick-fil-A location I have ever experienced.

This location usually doesn't disappoint but this time it did, y'all might wanna be careful with their salads they gave us old salads that have been sitting out for some time which caused the egg to go bad. They need to have better quality assurance so that they won't get anyone sick. Might wanna try the Lovefield location their salads will never disappoint & the drive is worth it.

The customer service in the drive thru is good . However, the receipts haven't matched what they put in my bag for the past 3 weeks (today included) for breakfast and lunch. This location is turning to crap quick. They need to get their quality control in check. And Bake The Freaking Cookies! If I want dough, I'd go to cookie shop in Deep Ellum.

Soupy wrong noodles, canned soup! Not their actual chicken soup that's bull!
    Trinity C.

I usually love the soup but this time no. First of all it was cold and watery, no egg noodles instead wavy noodles, it's like they dumped cans of progressive soup in to the pot. Not happy!

Not a great Wing Stop. **** Timothy I assume you are the owner or the manager of the Red Oak I location. I went through and read your response to me and obviously it is a generic copy paste response because it is the exact same response you have given to every bad review which is 99% of the reviews on your page. You tell me to contact you via private message, yet you did not leave me a number or an email or anything of that nature. You really need to do better and your employees need massive training , they don't give a crap either. Pathetic...

Today I came in to pick up a DoorDash order. When I first walked in, I let the young lady at the…read morefront know I was there for DoorDash and gave her the customer's name. She told me the order was almost ready and handed me the cup for the soda. Since I was trying to hurry up and complete the order, I went ahead and made the drink myself. When I brought the drink back to the front, I politely asked if they had a sticker or seal to place over the top of the drink so the customer would know it had not been tampered with. I explained that drivers normally are not supposed to prepare the drinks, but since I already did it, I just wanted the drink properly sealed for the customer's safety and comfort. The employee then responded by asking why I made the soda anyway. I stayed calm because I was simply trying to do my job and keep the order moving. She later told me her name was Nicole and said she was the manager. I again politely asked if she could place the sticker or seal on the drink, but she refused and stated she did not have to do it. She also accused me of being hostile, which I do not feel was true at all. As a manager, I feel customer service and professionalism should be handled better, especially regarding DoorDash orders and food safety. I was not rude or disrespectful. I simply wanted the order properly sealed so the customer would feel comfortable knowing their drink was not tampered with. I believe Nicole could benefit from additional customer service and management training based on this interaction.

Vivian Howard of North Carolina, Chef, Restaurateur and teacher to hopeful home cooks with her current show on PBS, "Kitchen Curious" cites Bojangles as the source of her inspiration for dirty rice, wanting to recreate that specific flavor profile at home. Yes, Bojangles. She even went through their drive thru on the show where she makes her own version of dirty rice. So I finally went to the Bojangles near me in Lancaster one evening. We stopped in and marveled at the many biscuit combinations on the menu. I will say that reading through the reviews on our way there was weird though. There are apparently "legacy" Bojangles out East that serve bone in Chicken and more selections of sides or "fix ins." This caused consternation after this Lancaster franchise opened and they didn't have bone in chicken. It seemed to affect customer perception of the current trimmed down menu of biscuit and tenders, salads and sandwiches only menu early on. The menu reminds me of Chick- fil-A, just different. As for today, I came for the Dirty Rice. But we did order two Chicken sandwiches plus pickles, a family size dirty rice and a family size coleslaw, to go. Bojangles does not have jalapeños FYI. The menu neglected to show a sandwich only price. So I asked. I was told $6.92 including tax. The family size fix ins were $4.99. Combos with sandwich, beverage, and side choice are approximately $9.50. Sandwiches come with lettuce and tomatoes according to the menu. The restaurant was clean with booths and tables. Service was friendly. When we got home though, I must have been misunderstood or I misunderstood what went on the sandwiches. We had ended up with only pickles instead of added pickles. I don't usually post photos of food with utensils or half full containers with food already removed but today, I am doing that. I sliced up some tomatoes, washed lettuce, got out the jalapeños and more pickles and mayo and we fixed up our sandwiches. I would like to think that everything would have been sorted out at the restaurant if we had dined in, but only 2 pickles? Seriously? The chicken itself was cooked perfectly. The exterior was still mostly crispy and was well seasoned. It certainly needed the veggies. And I have to have my jalapeños! The bun was brioche however and perfectly toasted. Now the dirty rice. I could taste the chicken bouillon in the well seasoned rice and the big chunks of sausage were appreciated. It was good. So was the coleslaw. Nice and cold, crunchy and a perfect foil to my jalapeños on my sandwich. So we spent spent $24.42 on two people for no drinks, two large sides and two sandwiches. Honestly, it was good, but it is not something that I would eat frequently. As I said, we don't usually eat fried chicken out. They are open 24 hours! With a well lit drive thru and easy online ordering. Go and check them out!
