I've never gotten the hype behind Chick-fil-A, but I still try it occasionally to see if that changes. I got breakfast, the chicken minis and hashbrowns, before taking an early morning flight out, and I still don't get it. The service here was very friendly, I feel like Chick-fil-A's can often feel cult-like with the whole my pleasure thing, but the employees here seemed genuinely nice and cheery, especially so early in the morning. The food was done very quickly, much quicker than the wait in line was. It seemed like the hashbrowns weren't the freshest as they weren't super crispy and had a little sogginess to them. The good: This is the best value for your money at the airport. Other spots in this terminal are usually way more expensive and way less satisfying. I paid $5-6 for a breakfast biscuit sandwich (one spicy and one regular). My food was ready immediately after I paid. I didn't have to wait at all despite there being a long line for ordering. I got the hash brown nuggets too and my kids enjoyed that. I liked the nugget format because it was easier to feed to my toddlers. The bad: The sandwich was kind of soggy. I had never ordered from the breakfast menu at Chick-fil-A before (which ends at 10:30am), so I was excited to try the chick-fil-a biscuit sandwich on a Friday morning before my flight, as this eatery was right next to my gate in Terminal B. The line of customers was short around 9:30am. The service was fine, slight unnecessary waits, especially since these sandwiches were premade in the warmer so it probably could have been served instantly. But they got my order out to me in just a few minutes, can't really complain. The sandwich was delicious and tasted freshly made (even though it had been premade), the biscuit so fluffy and buttery, the chicken with good flavor consistent with the brand, it was a very satisfying meal to start my day. read more

Probably the safest SJC meal you can get. I ordered: -biscuit chicken meal $9.19 with hashbrowns, lemonade was $0.80 surcharge Overall, food was ok. It is grab and go for the food, so a lot of food is just sitting there so staff can churn through the line faster, but definitely takes a hit on the quality. Drinks take longer for the staff to put together. Even though there might be a long line, I don't think it would take longer than 10-15 min even if they are super busy. read more

I ordered the 4-count Chick-fil-A Chick-n-Minis, a side of yogurt parfait, and an ice-cold brewed vanilla coffee. Nothing fancy here but it is nice that airport has a Chick-fil-A location. The menu is limited though (and lunch menu only starts after 10:30am). Once you are able to order, food comes out fast (probably because there are only a few different items you could order), but it took over half an hour to take orders from like... 15 people. For a fast food place, it was not really fast at all. So beware if you are scheduled to board soon, find a different place to grab fast food. They had a total of 4 cash registers, but only used two at a time (and only one for a good portion of my wait). They had the staffing to open more registers, but either chose not to or didn't want to. All in all, the food was fine, but many people had to rush to board their flights afterwards because they didn't anticipate a line for fast food would take over 30 minutes. Limited menu for breakfast. Ordered 2 $3.89 chicken biscuit sandwiches. All orders to go here, as no sit down dining. Take out order arrived 6 minutes after ordering. Across the aisle, announcement that Peet's coffee only taking credit card orders temporarily, no cash. Wife and I ate the biscuit sandwiches 3 hours later on the plane. Heated buttered biscuit and half inch thick breaded white seasoned salty chicken breast meat never tasted so good! Wife usually doesn't eat at Chick-fil-A due to their funding of anti LGBTQ groups, but made an exception here, as during the pandemic, only first class passengers get a limited prepackaged meal on cross country flights. While these aren't bigger entrees, you can make it a meal for under $8. So of the breakfast options, this place does fine. Unfortunately I was hoping to snag some lunch food to bring on my flight, but lunch menu doesn't start until 10:30am. So FYI if you're hoping to do the same. But that's alright. Chick-fil-A chicken biscuits for lunch are tasty too. I'm a big fan of their Chick-fil-A sauce and also honey BBQ sauce. The line tends to be long (as with all other airport food lines). It typically takes at least 20 minutes to get through the line to the counter, so keep that in mind if you're hoping to grab and run to catch your flight. This was the most popular spot in the terminal with a line like those nearby boarding a plane. As I had time to kill, I waited and got a crispy chicken sandwich. After the last time the salad was wrong I was afraid to order it again but I did. It was wrong again. I just wanted to get a gluten free market chicken salad. I ordered my first breaded or crumbed Chickfila sandwich. Normally, I hate the coating because it often hides the flavor of the meat or covers up imperfections. Not this one. The sandwich was amazing. I don't know why I didn't listen to the many many people who have commented about Chickfila sandwiches in the past.
