A couple days ago this was 5 stars but today it's 4 stars (I'm a couple weeks late on this review). Gotta Habit is a great deal where you get a burger, salad, chicken nuggets and a drink for $10 ($11 after tax). Today my burger wasn't as nicely presented as the time before. Food (4 stars) + Tasty burgers, fresh side salad, choice of another side and most importantly great value. The Gotta Habit comes with this "half" sandwich that is a full burger in many places. I love those types of surprises. + Ingredients are super fresh and they have refreshing drinks like lemonade and the usual fountain drinks - Slight inconsistency in my burger the 2nd time I came here. First time was a wow and this time was standard. I'll keep this updated if that changes. Service/Ambiance (4 stars) + Clean, lots of available seating areas indoor or outside, and food is ready within 5 minutes. + Kiosk has an intuitive interface. Easy to navigate and pay. read more

First of all the food at The Habit is delicious and for "fast casual" burgers, it's on the healthier side (note the disclaimer). Like everything else, it's getting costlier. I got a double burger, fries, and a drink for $18. One issue is that their kiosks aren't very intuitive. I think I actually paid a couple bucks more because of that. I actually almost knocked off a star for it. Also the kiosk never texted me the receipt it was supposed to send. It takes a little longer because it's more or less cooked to order. I got a little worried because it was still taking longer than expected and I hadn't gotten a receipt. Ultimately the reason I gave 5 stars not 4 is that the staff was so friendly. There was a guy cleaning the lobby (he made it spotless) and we had one of those every time I tried to get out of his way, I got in it more type of situations. We had a nice laugh about that. And the manager was also happy and smiling when she gave me my food. Inside seating is a little close together, but the outside seats are great when the weather allows. read more

One of the better fast food burger chains! I love their sides like the tempura green beans and onion rings. Price is a little higher than other fast food chain but the quality is definitely better. Around $7-10 for a sandwich. Very easy online ordering system and was able to pick up in less than 10 minutes. The avocado ranch sauce was also paired well with the onion rings/tempura green beans. read more

If you have plenty of money to spend, be my guest and go for it. The meals such as the burger for example taste good but the portions? It's sad and pathetic because the burgers can fit on the palm of my hand and 12$ for it? Overpriced. 7$ for the Korean chicken bites (6 pc) they temporarily have is insulting with the portion size (look at the pic I posted). The only thing that was in fact big was the drink but at this point, I'm better off going to in n out as their portions are way bigger and cheaper since the sweet & spicy Korean char, the bites and the soda I ordered on 7/31/2026 cost me over 20$. read more

Ordered no tomato on a lettuce burger and a regular burger, both have tomatos. Ordered onions rings and couldn't believe they only gave me 5 onions rings and one was burnt so bad it was very hard. Since when do they add salt to onions rings?! They were way too Salty anyway. They must have been next to the garlic fries because those were too salty, too. $19 worth of food in the garbage. Habit Burger is a typical chain burger place to me so it's hard to give it too many stars. However, I must admit the Santa Barbara burger is very good. Perhaps because I love burgers on sliced sourdough bread. Plus two patties and two cheeses and avocado. Mmmm good! But the standard Habit burger was just average. As its flagship burger I expected more, I guess. And the fries were also quite average. In fact, barely average compared to other burger joints that add their own personality, for instance McD's thinness and crunch, In n Out's freshness, and Five Guys' overdone and over abundance. Standard soda contain but they did have three types of peppers condiments which was a nice touch. Restaurant was nice and bright which exuded a nice atmosphere. And it was clean which makes me feel more comfortable. Not enjoyable to see homeless sleeping on the bench right outside the window though. read more

The food and the service are excellent--everything is fresh and delicious. The only reason I'm giving 3 stars is the strong odor inside the restaurant. It seems like there's an issue with the sewer system because the entire place smells unpleasant. If the weather isn't nice enough to sit outside, it's hard to fully enjoy your meal. We recently tried this location of habit burger grill and loved it. They have nice veggie burgers with veggie patties, which are a must try for vegetarians. The side salads are also good and we have tried garden salad. My toddler loves their cheese sandwich with crispy fries on the side. The portion size is huge that we also pack the leftovers. There are self serve kiosks and staff also will help you at the front. Staff is nice and friendly. Place is clean and well kept. Overall a nice spot to get some nice veggie burgers. read more

The portions seem to have gotten smaller.. Maybe 20%. We been coming here for a year now. Service is ok. No hello or anything. Nothing really stood out to me. Counters were sticky. But I do like the burgers though. Sides could be better temperature. The Santa Clara location is further but better consistency. Also .70 cents for a sauce is a no. Yeah I have a love hate relationship with the Habit. On the one hand, their burgers are actually really good. The teriyaki char burger with pineapple is one of my favorite fast food burgers. I also love their sauce and condiment bar, always get cholula, peppers, and limes. On the other hand, the prices have been steadily rising over the years to exorbitant levels. I don't think it's worth it to eat at the Habit anymore. Recently, my main man plumbst turned me on to the Habit app, which gives you coupons and make eating here actually affordable. I also recently started a job across from a Habit, so I thought I'd give this location a try. The venue is subpar. During lunch hour, it was so crowded in here, there was nowhere to sit or stand inside. I had to awkwardly hover around the entrance for my order. I eventually moved to the outdoor tables to eat my burger, but some massively high guy ruined my day. He started yelling at me and accusing me of recording him, when all I was doing was reading the story of Arknights: Such is the Joy of our Reunion on my phone. His eyes were beet red. Lock Off!! In the end, the food was slightly below average. It reminds me of All Star Burger in Newark lol. I think they use the same frozen fries. Looking back, the poor ambiance of this location is what lets it down. Otherwise it's fine. Enough talk. read more

The Habit Burger Grill always hits the spot when my family and I are stumped about what to eat. Luckily for us, HBG had an assortment of foods on their menu and can guarantee happy bellies for the entire family regardless of our opposite palates. The menu is comprised of burgers, sandwiches, salads, shakes, and soft serve. Extra points because this place offers options for those who are low carb, no carb, and vegetarian. Food: Orders are made SUPER FRESH!! The view of the kitchen isn't hidden like most burger joints and you hear all the sizzling, view all the flames, while all the magic is happening. Burgers and fries come out scorching hot- great for me, not so great for my impatient 4yo. Lmao. Meals here take a bit of blowing and patience. Salads always come out crisp, extremely fresh, and really dressed [which I like when it comes to Caesar dressing]. My recommendation for those who light a lighter ratio of flavor vs greens, request to have dressing on the side. Service: There is something in the water!!! These employees aren't like any other!!! They are kind, patient, and legit take the time follow your requests. I have not come across a bad visit since I've started coming here. I've had the same issue twice at this Habit (Store #195, 1078 E Brokaw Rd). Tonight (11/23/2025 ~8:01 PM, Order #432) I ordered a Double Char Cheeseburger with American--the burger arrived with no cheese. When I brought it up, the cashier pointed to the receipt and said, "the cheese shows up if you ordered it--see how 'WHT American' shows for the Charburger? The Double Char Cheeseburger doesn't specify American, so the cheeseburger doesn't come with cheese." This is exactly what she told me the first time, which is why I made sure to press the cheese option this time. The receipt shows "Charburger with Cheese - WHT American," but the Double Char Cheeseburger line doesn't print the cheese choice--even though I selected it. It feels like a POS/receipt mapping issue, but the result is I keep getting a "cheeseburger" with no cheese and staff refusing to remake it. This is the 2nd time this lady successfully gaslit me into thinking I was wrong. This is the 2nd time I paid for something that I never received. I think Habit will always be a good spot to stop by for a burger! Came by on a Tuesday afternoon and it wasn't too busy. They have self service kiosks but those only take card/credit. I ordered a Santa Barbara Char. Solid! Filling, delicious, and fast. The facility is clean and there is always someone cleaning up tables after people leave. I came here to try the grown up meal with a friend. The burger is a decent burger and I love their fries. The entire meal was 6 dollars with a drink you get a char-burger , fries and a drink. What an experience for my friend and I. We came here last week after a nice run and my friend decided to get a burger. There were plenty of people ordering in line so we decided to use the self-pay kiosk. My friend customized his order with a portobello mushroom, double patties, and no mayo, etc. We waited for about 15 mins for his order; people who started to come and order after us, immediately got their food so we were confused. There was a bag that was sitting on the counter from a kiosk order in which we went up to check but it was a completely different burger than the one my friend ordered. So we waited another 5-10 mins when we questioned the lady who seemed to either be the shift lead or assistant manager, she said this was our order. We were confused because we told her our order. My friend even stated he couldn't have mayo and certain toppings in his burger but she refused and said, "No, this is your order!" They didn't bother to pull up the receipt or kiosk order either which should've been protocol. She was rude, unprofessional, and lacked customer service. This is by far, one of the worst experiences we've had, from a fast food chain. We took the bag and left because her and her team wouldn't even apologize on their behalf and re-make our burger. For peeps sake, a burger could be done in less than 3-5 mins!! Idk why they gave us such a hard time. The Habit needs to do a better job training their employees on how to handle these types of situations. It's a good thing we came here randomly because we won't be coming back again. solid fast food burgers with that char grill. they are pretty busy but get your order right and it comes out hot and delicious. love the onion rings and santa barbara char. now thats an iconic duo. every now and then they have deals on the app so make sure to check. they have seasonal shakes and salads that may be a hit or a miss. their regular shakes are pretty good and creamy. overall im a fan. barely any interaction with employees as most things are done on the app or at a kiosk. its kinda nice read more
