I love the area and quick service is provided here. The lady that took my order seemed a bit irritated, but it was probably from the breakfast rush prior since it was 10:50AM when I visited. Everyone in the drive thru area was sweet when it came to being handed my order and they put tons of sauces inside, yay. The fries were fresh but loadeddddd with salt and when I ate my nuggets they were good as expected, but just a bit more on the oily side and not as crispy as usual. Then as we kept eating, I had found a long blonde/light brown hair wrapped around my nuggies. It was a 30 count that was being shared, so the hair was woven around about 5-8 of them. Just about every week, I'm in the mood for fast food. And Chick-Fil-A tends to be my favorite. On this visit, I stopped by after picking up food for Sophia at nearby Panda Express. So, let's see how everything went. The drive-thru line was surprisingly smaller than usual. One of the workers took my order down (chicken sandwich with waffle fries and ketchup). Turns out the amount at this location is less than our usual local in Newport News (city tax is added to bills after all). And like many other Chick-Fil-A locations, this one went very fast with orders. The only mistake had with mine was they included the wrong receipt in the bag, but I let that one go. So there is a person named Be la taking orders from customers, and in such a hurry. Is that all over and over again. NO LOOK when you order nuggets or tenders you normally want sauces but Be la don't care. We ordered a salad and extra dressing but Ba la didn't enter the info or ask would you like any sauce. 4/30/21: We went there right before they closed. The parking lot was disorganized which led to chaos in the drive thru line. The line was long and slow. When it was finally our time to order, we were told that they no longer had 4 or 6 count nugget kids meals. They only had 5 nuggets. We proceeded to order our food. The order taker must've been tired because she had a little attitude. We moved around the building to pick up our order & they practically threw our food at us to push us along. My driver went ahead & pulled off. At that point is when I realized how COLD most of our food was. We've never been here & don't plan to go back. This location always has that line we all see, but that line is always speedy! The employees are amazing. They are so polite and well mannered. I love how they all work like a well oiled machine. They seem to be taken care off by their management. Whenever I order thru DoorDash it always come piping hot and fresh. The do not even lack in that department. The new fries need to go. I've been a loyal customer of Chick-fil-a for over two decades - most of my life. It's always held a special place in my heart, and this location in particular. It was the only fast food I liked growing up, and it was a big part of my childhood, teens, and adult life. The quality of their food is good, the restaurant has always been exceptionally clean and well-maintained for a fast food restaurant, service is usually good, and I liked that they employed an elderly employee that would open doors, hand out mints, clean tables, and check on customers. It was about as close to going to a nice sit-down restaurant as fast food could get. It used to be that, no matter how long it had been since you went to Chick-fil-a, the tastes you had loved were still there. It was familiar, welcoming, like coming home after being away for years. It was one of the few constants in this ever changing world. And they rarely tried to fix what wasn't broke. There was the BBQ sauce change, but they came to their senses and brought back the original. That was bad enough, but changing the fries? People loved them. Why change them? I had the new ones during my last visit, and they weren't good. They were a bit crispier? However, I always preferred the softer fries, and to call these new fries "crispy" is a little too generous. The fries had an almost rubbery texture and tasted like oil at first. After that, I got the flavor of unseasoned boiled potato. A layer of crispy, rubbery oil and a filling of rubbery unseasoned potato is disappointing to say the least. This wasn't just a bad batch of fries, I realized. Something had changed. And sure enough, a quick search confirmed it. It pains me to say this, but this is probably the end of eating there for me, unless they go back to making the old fries. To be clear, this applies to all the restaurants. Everything else about this location is the best I've seen. It's just that none of it matters if the food sucks. read more

Got a spicy deluxe sandwich and it's always amazing, with fries and a lemonade. Chick-fil-A is my favorite fast food hands down, and sometimes I'd rather go to CFA than other places nowadays. I will admit, I haven't been eating out as much since the COVID thing happened. I've been going to grocery stores and stocking up on food to make as little contact as possible. Well, my craving for Chickfila would not let up. So I decided to go ahead and fill the craving. I drove up and oh man - cars are EVERYWHERE. It's pure packed insanity. But going through the line I discovered it was-of course- organized insanity. The traffic was literally non-stop, but Chickfila had it handled. There were associates outside directing traffic and it was a well-oiled machine. I drove up and it always feels like the associates are happy with their job. Even though there was a constant flow of customers, the line kept moving and orders were filled consistently. I ordered the nuggets, kale superfood side, side of fries and sweet tea. The nugs, fries and sweet tea were perfection. But Chickfila changed their kale superfood side. This is kind of sad because I actually loved the one they had on their menu before. I hope they bring the other one back, because I don't think I like the current one as much. It's still fresh and yummy - just not the same. KUDOS to this Chickfila. I get up to the sign to scan my order and they cancel it. Because the time changed from breakfast to lunch even tho I placed my order and was in line before 10:30. Absolutely HORRIBLE experience and so far from the Chick Fil a standard that it's shocking! On 9/7 We ordered 30 sandwiches for our soccer players. We only got 15 of the 30 sandwiches. When I called the store, the manager she made a big fuss about how she personally packaged the sandwiches and we have the order and was completely uncooperative. We had a long drive back home and didn't have 30 min for them to remake the sandwiches. We asked if she would refund the sandwiches. She refused to do so and said we had to come into the store in order to process the refund, by the way they took our card over the phone to pay for the order but refused to refund us the same way. After a long time where the manager refused to offer solutions, she finally said that she could refund us 15 sandwiches as "points" to a specific Chick Fil a membership card. We gave her the membership number and she said that the "free" sandwiches would show up over the next couple of days. It is currently 9/19 and we STILL do not have the sandwiches THAT WE PAID FOR!!! I usually check it cause it is never right even when you ask them if everything is in the bag and they say yes. Most times they have to give me dressing and red peppers as they were left out of the bag. Faster is not always better unless you can get it right. We placed an order in the app and in it we asked for the addition of strawberry syrup in a frozen lemonade. When we spoke to the greeter in the drive thru line she verified that our order had the addition of strawberry syrup. When we drove to the pick up window the manager made a point to emphasize that we would not get syrup because we did not pay for it. I applaud her enthusiasm in saving the company $0.07 worth of syrup, but couldn't this have been better handled by including the syrup once and explaining the situation to customers?
