We really like chick-fil-a. This review is about the service. I had three coupons for my 3 kiddos for a kids meal. I go through the drive through show the coupons and order our food. I get up to the window, hand over the paper coupons and the manager comes over and tells me that they won't take them because they are paper coupons and corporate won't let them take them. Also, they were for a different location- sorry, I didn't pay attention to the location that was my oversight. So the manager takes back the order, hands me back the coupons and tells me that I can take the coupons to the other location maybe they will honor them. Why would I go to the other location when she just told me that they don't honor paper coupons anymore? And not even ask if I wanted to pay for the order. What an AWESOME VISIT! Was out late Christmas shopping last week and the wife and I knew that we would not get home in time to make dinner. She decided to eat Chick-fil-A, (I had disgusting supermarket sushi, that's another review). So we were near this particular location and gave them a try. The drive-thru line was packed, but with two lane service it went fast which is typical at any Chick-fil-A in my opinion. Also it was cold outside and we did not want to get out of that nice cozy warm car. When it was our turn to order we were greeted by the most happy and cheerful person I've every experienced at a drive-thru. He was so excited that we choose to come to his store. He greeted us cheerfully and took our order with precise accuracy. He was so charming and energetic. I told my wife, "what a nice person." When I arrived at the window to receive me order, there was this nice young man with blond hair at the other end of the microphone. He kind of reminded me of Richie Cunningham from Happy Days. Along with him was this other young man who was the "runner" getting the food. He reminded me of Steve Urkle from Family Matters. He was just as energetic as Richie. They took our money and counted our change back to us. I wish I had tipped them because I felt so good after the great service. These guys were so fun and full of excitement. They offered me loads of condiments and did with it a smile, I could even see a sparkle off their teeth. With cheerful enthusiasm they welcomed me, gave us our food which was piping hold and to order. For a minute I though I smelled nutmeg; could these guys be two of Santa's Elves? I mean both of them were short and their smiled sparkled when I talked to them. I told them "YOU GUYS SMELL LIKE NUTMEG!" And they laughed with the most jolliest laugh I've ever heard! Their smile just lite of the night sky and they had on the most festive sweaters. As I drove away I thought I heard jingle bells, could this have been what I thought it was, I mean its the Christmas season and ............. I WILL BE BACK TO THE LOCATION! Love their spicy chicken sandwiches, chicken tenders and their breakfast chicken biscuit the most. Their grilled/regular chicken nuggets and grilled sandwiches are also tasty but not my go to. I've never had a problem customer service wise here, always nice and friendly and quick to get you a refill or whatever you may need. The only thing I ever run into here is their breakfast biscuits are always usually doughy which is annoying but other than that it's top notch. read more

This is by far one of the best Chick-fil-A restaurants I have ever been too. I was there yesterday evening during the busy time with a friend and ordered the No. 4 Spicy Chicken sandwiches and before the transaction was even completed; the server had our orders ready. We seated ourselves and were amazed to see the cleanliness of the restaurant and the layout of condiments, napkins etc. neatly arranged. The sandwich was just perfect with the freshest veggies (fresh whole leaf lettuce, tomatoes, pickle), cheese and the chicken cooked and spiced to light up my tastebuds. (Suggest trying it with Chick-fil-A sauce) Another thing that amazed me about the location is the friendliness and professionalism of the staff who said 'It's a pleasure serving you' after handing us our order. The drive-thru was really busy but was well-managed, clean and efficient. The restrooms were clean and well-equipped too which is truly a hallmark of a good restaurant or a business. This is exactly how franchisee food chains ought to be. I am sure there's a lot more than a lesson or two that Chick-fil-A can teach to places such as Subway, McDonald's and other franchised or independent joints whose whole aim is to make money without even providing decent food, basic service or even bare minimal hygiene and sanitation. I highly recommend this place to people visiting the Oyster Point, Kiln Creek shopping district on Victory Blvd. in Newport News/ York County. Simply Love it. read more

One of the best CfA's I've visited. Food is fresh, service is fast, and servers are all friendly. Restrooms are so clean that you could eat off the floor (although I wouldn't recommend it. Glass-enclosed Children's play area with hand sanitizer dispenser at the entrance/exit was a nice touch. Two-lane drive-thru (!) and free drink refills for anyone dining in. One day my husband and I brought our two children, who were so busy when we got there I didn't know my husband hadn't eaten his sandwich and I threw it away on accident. Breaded and pressure deep-fried until dark and crunchy GBD; thick and moist real breast meat, tangy marinade (maybe pickle juice?); two tart pickles; no condiments, on a soft, buttery bun. I said my name again and then began to spell it quickly, he says to me "I just couldn't hear you" with an attitude! After this he never asked me what sauce. I ordered breakfast on the CFA app at 10:15am, and got into the drive thru lane at 10:20am. After waiting in line for over 10 minutes to get service, a very unwelcoming employee told me that they could not service me what I paid for because breakfast was closed. I don't understand how a "fast food restaurant" is so slow to where I have to wait 10 minutes to be told that my order cannot happen. This is probably the worst chic fil A I've been to. It took 20 minutes to get through the drive thru and when got to the window to get our food, we were told to pull up into the reserved parking spaces and wait to receive our food. Mind you we got a kids meal nugget and an adult meal nugget. After waiting in the space for almost 10 minutes I went inside to get the food and a refill because I was so thirsty from waiting. We were in the drive thru today June 9th, had just placed our order and were waiting to move forward when our car turned off. Not sure why yet but the chikfila team was right on it, they helped push our car to a parking spot and an associate went above and beyond to try giving us a jump start with his car (sadly didn't work but was still appreciated). They also brought our food out to us! While we waited for someone to pick us up a team member came out and asked how we were doing and if we'd like some water. I frequently eat at Chickfila, especially this one because of how close I live to it. I am even a Chickfila A-Lister. There have been days when the food was not the best but usually overall it was still good. The past two times I've visited my nuggets were disgusting. Today they smelled and tasted burnt.
