I went here for a late lunch before my flight home and they were not very busy at the time. I decided to try the wings, fries and jalapeño poppers and everything was amazing. The building is easy to access and walkable in the downtown area. The staff was really friendly and helped explain I could use their sauce bar or have the wings sauced I decided to try the sauce bar so I could try different flavors and seasoning. I tried the lemon pepper dry rub and the garlic parm sauce both were really flavorful. The real star of the show is the extremely crispy and juicy wings the skin was some of the crispiest and crunchy wings I've ever had in Chicago and with no breading it was amazing. The wings also were nicely flavored by them self without any sauce. If you like crispy wings you have to try this place !! I had been wanting to try this place for a while, so my husband, a friend, and I went in and ordered a chicken tender and French fry basket (comes with a Tootsie Roll candy) and an instant campfire (Mug root beer, toasted marshmallow and chocolate) dirty soda. What an unexpectedly fun place. The owners are super-friendly and walk you through the craziness that is Chick-n-Fizz. When you walk in you see a counter to a 50s-ish style diner. To the right is the restaurant seating area. To the left are escape rooms. Behind you is a enclosed shelf unit with candy from the past and a cooler with ice cream. They have bone-in and boneless wings with many different sauces and dry rubs. They can add them for you or you can indulge yourself with as much or as little sauces and dry rub to your heart's content. There are a few diner tables with diner chairs for four or more people. There are tables for two that are standard two-person black tables and black chairs. I think they have these so they don't take away from the overall diner vibe and sort of blend into the background. There are also a few large flat screens in the dining area that project shows from the 50s and 60s except when football is on. I went with a buddy to check this place out. We both ordered bone-in wings. They came out crispy on the outside and really juicy on the inside. The Sauce Bar has staple sauces and dry rubs and then a revolving door of sauce and rub varieties as well. There are plenty to try for almost every flavor profile you're looking for from mild to hot. The sides were good, too! However, they do skimp on the quantity. I ordered fries and my buddy ordered the curds. A side of curds costs a whopping $5.25 (for comparison, 4 bone-in wings costs $7.50 and 6 bone-in wings costs $11.25). Everything is a tad on the pricey side for the amount you're actually receiving. Six bone-in wings with ranch and carrots at Buffalo Wild Wings is $10.99. At Wingstop, you can only get 6 bone-in wings in a combo meal with fries/or other side, carrots or celery or a mix, ranch dip, and a 20oz drink for $13.29. Regardless, they do skimp on the sides a bit. I think they just need to add more curds and more fries to their sides for what they cost. They are very tasty though. The Fizz part is pretty cool. You can get a regular fountain drink with free refills. However, if you upgrade your soda for one of their specialty sodas, you get the add-ins for the first drink, but can replenish your sodas without the add-ins when requesting a refill. I opted for "Dad's Favorite" which is Mug Root Beer with vanilla and cherry flavoring added. This was very tasty and is a nice compliment to the wings. We didn't try the escape room part, but they clearly had an idea an ran with it housing both entertainment and food in the same place. They have ice cream, candy treats, and yummy drinks and succulent wings. What more could you ask for? It's definitely a place worth checking out again. read more

Went to one of the soft openings and was impressed! There was a line out the door but they were efficient and friendly the whole time. They were still training but I was super impressed with the teenage staff they have. We had a hard time picking which drink to get!! Settled on the butterbeer and citrus bowl. Both were very tasty. The soda was a really nice compliment to the wings.I made my order online for pickup but when I got there I definitely wanted to come back with my family. They had peppa pig on one tv and March madness on another. It was not long of a wait for my order but the person taking care of me gave me regular updates on my food while also being friendly to other guests. This new place in downtown Arlington Heights is great. I have gone a few times and enjoyed the curds and the chicken, along with the ability to try all sorts of sauces. Great staff, super friendly. The sodas were a special treat for the grandkids. They are connected to an escape room business which we tried out as well. Failed miserably at that but had a lot of fun! Such a fun place! My family went here and really enjoyed it. They even had fried cauliflower which was a bonus for my vegetarian daughter. They have a sauce bar, so you can try as many different sauces on the wings that you want. The fries were crispy, and the coleslaw creamy. The fun part was their specialty soda selection. I got "Dad's favorite" which was root beer, vanilla, and cherry. Sooo good. They have a case of blue bunny ice cream if you're so inclined. And a large candy selection too. This place is also attached to an escape room if you wanna make a family outing out of it.
