Coffee, big mug, hot, robust. My meal did not disappoint in the slightest. Generous serving of potatoes with my eggs (I suggest asking for onions, again, perfect). Except ... My toast. I had to wait for my toast while my breakfast sat. I've been to *many* diners in my life, not the first time I've experienced this, it happens ... but the amount of time I waited for it to come, seemed to suggest there had been an oversight. And I guess that ties into the strongest negative I might mention. There were intervals of waiting that threw off the rhythm of how a diner operates. I needed water my partner needed a refill ... and for a while it seemed like the only way that could happen is if I got up, went to the counter and asked for it. (Not alone in this. A nearby table did exactly that to get what they needed.) Easy fixes, not that big a deal. My first suggestion: Have a big pitcher of water on ice ready at all times. If you want to come in and order the parking lot is right outside for your convenience. You will find drinks in the fridge on the side and the desk to ask for what you want is right in front of you.
