Unsure of what was in the area, we did a quick search on Google maps to see what came up. Ironically, we had both been looking at the Whistling Duck at the same time on our respective phones, so we decided to check it out. We arrived mid-afternoon and it was a beautiful day - the views of the water surrounding the restaurant were gorgeous, so we walked around a bit outside taking a few photos first. The restaurant was empty except for one table of customers finishing up, so we had our pick of seats. They had a bottle of hand sanitizer at the front and we were asked to use it and then take a menu before being seated. We asked our server for some recommendations and she offered up a few suggestions for each section of the menu. My original choices were not amongst the suggestions, so I decided to throw caution to the wind and go with something different. We both had the seafood chowder to start, which tasted good but it was a bit more "watery" than a typical chowder. I absolutely love a nice, thick and hearty chowder, so I was a bit disappointed. I'd give it a 3/5. Next, we shared an order of mussels in garlic and white wine sauce. This was extremely watery, with not much flavour to the broth, but the mussels were cooked very well. The garlic toast that came with it was the best part. My rating is 3/5 for the mussels. Our server strongly recommended the lobster clubhouse, so I figured I'd give it a try. I have to say, it was the most ridiculous "lobster" sandwich I've ever had. First of all, it wasn't lobster. It was pollack, either the crab or lobster version I couldn't be certain, but definitely not real lobster. Or if it did contain real lobster, it was such a minuscule amount that I couldn't find it or taste it. It's basically very finely sliced pollack with mayonnaise and some other stuff mixed in, most likely to disguise the fact that it's not real lobster. The bread and the bacon were both cold, so it was a very disappointing sandwich in all. I'd rate this one a 2/5 because the sweet potato fries that came with it were really good. My friend ordered another highly recommended item - the mushroom and Brie burger (subbed with a veggie patty instead of beef). There might've been maybe six tiny pieces of mushroom on it. I didn't taste it so I can't rate that one. Service was very friendly and the views absolutely stunning on such a nice day. I'd chalk this up to failing to go with my initial choices and that not everyone has the same taste in food. I also have very high expectations when it comes to food. This place is probably great for a lot of people but I'd probably give it a pass in future. 3/5 overall for s

She did a great job of correcting the outage including comping the drinks. Food was great had wings and mussels. Great view on the water patio. Had to change our plan as too much time had been spent waiting for our food.

We sat on the patio to enjoy the view and of course you don't have that chance all year long. The tables inside were almost full and it was loud; everyone was enjoying a nice meal and the company. The staff are nice and friendly. We ordered "Shrimp Taco", "Seafood Linguini with Alfredo Sauce", "Battered Haddock", "Salmon New Orleans" and "Sautéed Shrimp". Our food came with sides our choice; grilled vegetables, fries, green salad and mashed potato. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection.

I did my research, and this restaurant has been ranked highly by others here. We came here early around 4 pm and it was not too busy. Reservations are recommended here as they do get busy on the weekend. We were a group of 6, and we ordered a lot. 1. Calamari $16.99 2.Seafood linguine w/marinara sauce $31.99 3. Lobster tail with jumbo shrimps & scallops $57.99 4. Lobster and King crab $63.99 × 3 5. Fish tacos (3) $17.99 There are regular sides included with the meals and gourmet sides. There's an upcharge between $2 - $5. Food was served promptly. The lobster tail and King crab were delicious however it may not satisfy the biggest appetite. I would suggest pairing this dish with an appetizer or upgrading to gourmet sides. The lobster tails were gigantic, cooked perfectly melted in your mouth. Kudos to the chef, and they also sprinkle some salt when they grill the lobster tails to finish it off. Fish tacos were huge and also served on soft shell tacos. I recommend these fish tacos. Great for smaller meals if you're looking for some seafood. The service was excellent and friendly. They came by regularly to check on us. Will definitely come back and try the boathouse seafood feast for 2. This beats the big chain seafood restaurant out of the park. The only downside is that they don't serve any complimentary butter biscuits. The interior decor makes you feel like you're in a boat. Nice ambiance and great view of the harbour. Too bad the weather was rainy, so we couldn't sit on the patio. Belleville has a nice downtown area too bad the rain prevented us from enjoying a nice walk on their downtown area. The seafood here is excellent, a bit pricey for king crab. They have an extensive menu including some dishes influenced by New Orleans like creole shrimp, jambalya. The rest of the menu is comparable to other places, and there's definitely something for everyone.

Unfortunately, the food didn't match the setting as it was just subpar. Maybe it's too much to expect Toronto quality Italian food in Trenton, but everything from the tomato sauce in the lasagna (way too acidic), ho hum aglio olio for the California fettucine and lack of simple garden salad (what kind of Italian place only serves Caesar salad or Greek salad?) just didn't do it for me. My fettucine was undercooked (not even close to being al dente), the chicken breast was dry and the overall seasoning was weak. Even with the addition of giant slivers of Parmaggiano didn't do much to elevate the dish. I would have sent the dish back if we weren't in a rush to finish our meal and get back on the road. The Margherita pizza was the best part of this dinner sadly. I'm not sure if we'll be back in Trenton again any time soon, but I will be looking for other options than Tomasso's.
