The amount of fries they give you seems to have tapered off a bit, but for the price, I can't complain. The tea is great and the employees are always so friendly and helpful. Plus, it always has that new house scent when you walk in, as if they just finished constructing the building the day before. Also, I've yet to see another restaurant as consistently clean as Slim Chickens is. I only have one complaint. When you go there while the sun is going down, there is a two to three hour period where it's impossible to sit on the entrance side, without being blinded by the sunlight. Their walls are giant windows and there's absolutely nothing blocking the sun on that side of the building and no blinds or tinted windows. I wrote the company yesterday and addressed this situation. Less than 24 hours later, I received a reply from the Vice-President of Operations, stating: "I appreciate you being a loyal guest of Slim Chickens! I wanted to drop you a note and tell you I appreciate the feedback and I am currently working on a solution for the windows. Thank you for your feedback and again, for being loyal guest!" As if this company's customer service couldn't get any better! They really are amazing. So all of you who eat there and have to avoid the entrance side like a bunch of vampires after 4:00 PM, help is on the way. I only wish I could give Slim Chickens more stars.

I don't get to Ruston very often, but when I do, Griff's is always on the list…read more Maybe it's the cute...or slightly creepy...little chef logo that gets me every time. Who am I kidding? It's the hot link. It tastes like somebody fired up the grill in their backyard instead of a fast-food kitchen. The burgers hold their own against just about every chain out there, and if you add chili, you'll thank me later. Then there's dessert. Shakes, fried pies, strawberry shortcake...they've got every course covered. Griff's feels like a throwback to a time when fast food had a little more personality and tasted like somebody actually cared. Places like this are getting harder to find. It's right across from Louisiana Tech, so expect a line when school's in session. Don't let it scare you off. It's absolutely worth the wait. Face it, people like Griff's.
