We needed food. My buddy recommended a place he's been to many times. He said "Evan, "Chicken Stop" is the last spot you'll ever go for ribs in Brooklyn." I've been told that in the past before. But I was hungry, plus they make everything fresh to order, so why not? Placing the order the gentleman on the phone was nice. He quickly took the order and thanked me for choosing them. I thought that was nice. So after that we waited. It really didn't take to long and the guy that delivered was even friendlier. He walked the food inside and took the food storage off his back. He took it out and gave it to us. We tipped him well for braving the heat and we than he was off. We sat down and my friend told me to try the pita. It was soft and warm. I dipped it in the bbq sauce they give you and I was good to go. Now it was time for the ribs. Did they size up to the competition? The short answer, yes! The long answer, ohhhhh yeah! My spouse and I were just visiting for the weekend and stopped in on a Saturday evening around seven. This wasn't far from our hotel. We were able to walk right in and order two chicken, avocado bowls. Service was fast and friendly. The food was really good. The restaurant was clean. The prices were reasonable. I really appreciated that they had hand sanitizer on every table. I would choose Chicken Stop over Chipotle any day of the week. Tried this spot for the first time tonight. Chicken was good- could use some more seasoning maybe, but decent. Definitely helped by that green sauce (best part of the meal). Fries were soggy, but tasted fine. Little side salad.. I mean.. it's salad haha.. my only real beef is that I ordered online through the business and didn't know they outsourced delivery, which I really didn't want (pretty much why I don't use seamless/Uber whatever), but the delivery guy was quick.. so it's nothing personal. I just prefer that my food be delivered by someone who actually works for the place for accountability purposes. That said, for 20 bucks, the chicken and fries were good enough to go back. Ordered delivery from here on a Wednesday night. Overall the experience was good. The food arrived quickly and the order was correct. Their sauces are delicious and they give a generous amount too. We thought the half chicken was pretty good, well cooked and juicy. The chicken wrap was decent as well. The grilled chicken sandwich with bacon and avocado was ok. Not the greatest. The chicken was a little dry, bacon seemed not the freshest and overall just a bit underwhelmed. I wouldn't get the chicken nuggets either. Not very crispy, didn't seem like white meat, didn't seem to travel well. Overall I'd try again as it's convenient and reasonably priced. We came to and agreement and I had the opportunity to try a whole chicken, mash potatoes with gravy and yellow rice with beans. All of the items are were very good.
