Out of all the all the korean fried chicken, bb.q is by far my favorite joint. I've been going to them for years and I absolutely love their soy garlic. It's never too salty and has the perfect blend of soy and garlic. As for the chicken itself, I usually prefer their boneless. They offer a combination of dark and white and the chicken itself is really tender while the breading is crispy and delicious. As for service, they are great. I called in to place my order and the lady on the phone was friendly. She help describe the difference between honey garlic and soy garlic. After placing my order, I got a text in about 15 min that it was ready for pick up. As for the restaurant itself, they do have a good amount of seating. Super tasty, perfectly crunchy fried chicken! My favorite flavor is the Spicy Galbi. I also order their rose ddeokbokki, which is perfect for those who cannot handle spicy flavors well, like myself. You can add cheese if you'd like but I'm lactose sensitive so I don't add it. The rose ddeokkbokki has lettuce and fried fish cake in it as well. I would love if they include an option to be able to add more fishcake. Comes with half boiled nice and jammy egg. They have an app where you can pre-order for pick up or for delivery. I've done both, and the experience has been smooth. They get super busy so if you're at work ordering for your lunch break, place your order at least an hour before you need it. I've ordered both bone-in and boneless chicken, and there is little difference between them in terms of crunchiness, flavor distribution and saturation. These days I opt for the boneless version because it's cleaner and easier to eat with a utensil. The sauce is finger-linking good and have I mentioned the crunch? Can't recommend this place enough!! My son and I needed to eat here after recognizing the chain from Crash Landing on You (IYKYK). We ordered a half chicken original style and wings in soy garlic, and extra daikon. The half chicken was nice and crispy and freshly made to order some waited about 10-15 minutes for it to be ready. We were really blown away by the fact that the soy garlic wings were also crispy! So crispy!! Like, despite being coated in a soy glaze they were crispy and crunchy and it was magic in our mouths. My 11yo says garlic soy wings are the best! This is the closest spot for me to get my Korean fried chicken fix, and I'm glad that on Fri & Sat, they don't close until 10 pm (last order is 9:30 pm though). Someone at a recent Yelp told me about this new location that opened up for bbq chicken and it was really good. Naturally I had to book mark it and make a visit. We made an order here last month for two different flavored fried chicken and their rice cakes. Personally thought the flavor of the fried chicken was good but the batter was just a little thicker than I prefer. Still though, the wings and drums were all decently sized unlike other spots that do give you smaller pieces. We ordered two orders of the rice cake and it was a little spicier than everyone at home can handle. First of all, so excited this just opened in my area! I'm used to going to the KTOWN location and they usually have premade chicken lying in the front of the location but this location is all made fresh. I went on the second day of opening. This is a fast food look and feel location, it almost feels like a regular Popeyes but there's a couple tv screens of kpop music videos and it's a pretty small location compared to their big one in ktown. I took a look in their kitchen and there was at least 10 people in the back yet the chicken took a long time - I would say 30 minutes of waiting... that's really my only complaint. Since first opened they should really have faster business because there's already tons of people on line in the middle of the day. This whole neighborhood loves fried chicken so I suggest that! Otherwise when I got my honey garlic chicken and ate it - it was probably 10x better than the ktown location and the packaging was easy to open and felt more like a fast food chain with really really good chicken. I was so excited and even more when I took a bite in it. Honestly one of the best Korean fried chicken I had. The register worker (who I think might be the owner) is also so friendly and helpful. He even ran out after a delivery worker who had grabbed the wrong order. This place is constantly busy for good reason. It's a neighborhood staple. The ddubokki with cheese was also addictively tasty. Very sweet and I like the fish cakes. I would recommend sharing it because it's a lot of one flavor for one person. It can take some time to get your food compared to a fast food place because of the fresh frying, but I hope they don't give that up. The decor inside made it feel like a fast food restaurant, but I would argue it's more like fast casual. I really enjoyed the kpop hit music videos. There are a ton of delivery orders, so as they grow I think it would be good to have a separate delivery window or counter (like how chick fil A near Barclay's does it). I like that each order came with a side of pickled radish. I do wish that they let do 50/50 sauce when placing a M or L order so it doesn't need to be split into 2 small orders. We also tried the lunch combo, which was delicious and well worth the $10.95 price. There was a generous portion of freshly fried chicken in the sandwich and the spicy original was no joke! My mouth was on fire! The only con is that there's a long wait if you order in person. I recommend calling in an order ahead of time.
