Used to be great, now horrible. Things have changed here. I have taken both my dogs and cats here. Last year, took my old cat to remove fur lumps by shave. Went great, took 5 minutes, cost $20. I told all my friends. This year, took old cat back for same light shave fur ball removal. Only did about 20%. Stated I could come back to get rest done. Charged me $85 this time for less than 5 minutes work. About 2 weeks later, called to bring the cat back for them to finish, and she (straight brown hair middle aged who now seems to be running the place-into the ground) told me I waited too long and they are going to charge another $85! I told her this was wrong what she was doing and she said, "I guess you are not a good fit for us." Terrible! Also, last time I brought my dog in, her undercoat was not brushed, her cut was very choppy, and she had not gone pee. As soon as we got outside, she ran and peed for a long while and peed more than I have ever witnessed. Terrible! Goodbye! You suck. read more

The staff here are pretty close to magic: my moody, intermittently aggressive tomcat is angelic when they handle him, while my brand new super cuddly kitten thinks going here is like a playdate. They have an ever-changing array of newly groomed dogs underfoot in the front area where they work; they keep them and their own dogs around for companionship while they are working and, miraculously, all the animals get along. Each of the animals look movie-star perfect when they're done, the haircuts are adorable. When I first moved to Chico my older black cat was dealing with a skin condition that made her lose her fur in chunks (now finally, after five years, healed.) They treated this beat up looking sweetheart with all the care and regard of the beautiful healthy animals and it meant a great deal to our family to see her being cherished. But what I want to share most is that during the Camp Fire, All Cats and Dogs have taken in pets of fire evacuees and groomed them for free. Owner Alex says "In many cases, the fire evacuees left with only their pets and lost everything. I figure that giving them back a clean fluffy dog to hold is the least I can do." read more

Great grooming but very high price and not great on customer service. On my way to the business I was held up by police while they were dealing with an auto accident. I was 20 minutes late as a result and when I walked in I felt attacked by one of the groomers for being late. When I picked up my very small 14 lb. dog I was charged a whooping $60.00. If my dog was large I suspect the charge would have increased accordingly. read more

I was nervous as my cat had ever had anything like this done before (he's a scared cat who hides all day) he had tons of mats due to not properly cleaning himself. She was so quick and professional and my guy purred the whole time and looks so dapper now. He's so much more comfortable in this horrible summer heat. First time coming here. Had an appointment but was still told they were busy and would get to my dog as soon as they could. I picked her up about 3 hours after dropping her off. Meanwhile there were 5 large dogs waiting in the small room. The groomer's assistant was the only one there with all the dogs. She shaved my dog's body and the owner shaved up her face. Unfortunately my dog has several near razor burns marks all over her. Her back leg has about a 5" long irritated spot. The shave is uneven and there were about 3 small nicks on my dog, from her back to her legs. Since then she's been licking the nicks non-stop and is overall irritated by the near razor marks. She also came home with fleas. I wanted to love this place because it got such high reviews but I don't know if I would bring my small dog back here. read more

My Coton de Tulear is professionally groomed. Clean, even, and looks great. The staff was courteous and down to earth. No pompous attitudes that can be found in town. I will never have to look for a new dog groomer again I love it at, All Cats and Dogs. I have two dog one loves to be groomed the other, we can call be a problem child/dog. I took my dogs to Petsmart to be groomed. They said my lab did wonderful, but my dachshund they couldn't groom. They said he would not cooperate and they spend too much time just trying to get him out of the kennel, they gave up. I found All Cats and Dogs by Yelp. I thought I would give them a try. Of course my lab did great, and my dachshund did great too. Then the groomer goes on to tell me that she figured out why he didn't do good at the other place, it was the dryers. He doesn't like the sounds of the blow dryers. Problem solved, I will never look for another groomer again. She was very knowledgeable, gentle and seemed like a true animal whisperer.
