Clothes Mentor smells so good that it sets your mood to shopping therapy mode ;-) They accepts cash or credit card payment. I could have given a 5 star rating however some of the staff were very insensitive to walk-in customers, most especially to those who don't speak or understand English at all. I saw the expression on their faces the dismay when an elderly customers ask and they seem to be not so helpful. You could hear the same answer like "whatever is out there is what we have". Also, some of them choose to greet whoever they want to greet that day. Very much commend one the clothes specialist working there named Linda, she was very polite, engaged in a conversation, and smiling the whole time. Lots of parking. Upon arriving in the women's department, we asked Ann where we should go for alterations. Ann couldn't be bothered to show us where to go, she instead pointed to a nearby fitting room. We then asked Deborah, and she took the dress, found a fitting room for my friend and promptly called the alterations department. Thank you Deborah. After the alterations were complete, it was suggested to my friend that she open a Nordstrom credit card in order to get back the alteration fee in Nordstrom notes. Deborah so kindly started the process. 45 minutes later, after being transferred around to four or five different departments on the phone, Deborah called for a manager. Kurtis, the manager, was finally able to finish the process. Had the alteration fee not been so steep ,we would have walked away. Truly, ridiculous. Kurtis did provide us a free lunch in the Bistro, for all the time wasted. While waiting for the approval process, I wandered into the lingerie department to look for a specific brand of underwear. There was no one working in the department. I had to find someone from another area and of course the sales person immediately said that wasn't their department. What has happened to Nordstrom and their sales team? Nordstrom was always the gold standard for customer service. Perhaps they should take a lesson from Von Maur- There are always plenty of people working and you are always asked if you need help. I am not sure why I would go back to Nordstrom.

The checkout process was smooth during the holiday and the wait was not long even though plenty of customers were checking out. Everyone was pleasant when I shopped and still the same service when I returned to the store with a return. The return window is fairly decent with an extension given for the holiday. Loyalty membership allowed for a 2 week extension on returns. Parking is plentiful in the shopping plaza and they have accessible parking right in front of the store. They are still hiring right now. I am closing the store!!!!". She said it so rude, she was obviously upset that we had the audacity to open the door. I had no intention of keeping her past her time. I have worked in retail, I know what it is like when a customer comes in last minute and keeps you pay your time. However, I never ever told a customer that they were not welcome in my store during official business hours. She needs a stern talking to on how to respectfully treat people. A coordinating tunic/top at a comparable price tag, etc, some boring white tops, a few tank tops, some button down top/tunics that I wouldn't buy and some accessories too middle aged for me are status quo. Price points? It isn't outrageously pricey for the area, yet the prices were too high for what they're offering... As for layout/displays? The boutique definitely is laid out well, but that's about all I can say. The shop is clutter free, clean, well laid out.. If I was a stay at home soccer mom type, who goes to church events and was not into mixing street style with high and low pieces, perhaps this might be my speed, although I doubt it. Even if I was older or had kids, the clothes still wouldn't be upmarket or unique enough for me and I dislike the 'higher end' price tag on items that decidedly are not high end or even mid range luxury. While I did get a quick greeting from a sales associate (some food in the store didn't rate a glance or a hello, so perhaps I should feel impressed), it really wasn't friendly and I could tell by her response that she was totally uninterested if I was browsing or buying. It's unfortunate & UNUSUAL if you happened to shop there on a "bad day" for a salesperson. Things go on in everyone's life that have nothing to do with you. Unless you were called a racist name or you were refused service, shame on you for your OWN racist & libelous accusation!!
