Horrible Store Experience!!! Reached out to Chicos Customer Service and the company doesn't seem to care!!!! (See photos of email exchange) Think twice about shopping and spending your money here. Below is email I sent to customer service: Good afternoon, I am reaching out in regarding my experience at a store visit yesterday. I visited the Daniels Road Store in Winter Garden, Florida around 12:45 pm. It was my first time shopping at Chicos as I usually shop at the Gap, Banana Republic, or Boden. I came across Chicos online and on social media and found the store to be close to my home. After recently losing weight I've been looking to replace my too large wardrobe and found Chicos to be my best option to go try on vs. online ordering bc I was unsure of my current size. I looked online and had about 15-20 items I was going to purchase in store. I was also going to purchase panties, bras, and sleepwear in store once I had confirmed my sizes. I was excited. Until I actually got to the store. Upon entering there were people shopping and multiple employees. My daughter and I were not greeted by anyone. We looked around and I picked up a few pairs of bottoms and a few tops in multiple sizes so that I'd be able to determine my size before trying on all the items I was planning to purchase in my correct size. We walked around the store and still no one helped us or greeted us. The employees were actually having personal conversations and watching us as we browsed. Since no one offered to help, I located the fitting room and my daughter found a chair to sit on while I tried on the items. There was an employee in the fitting room and told me I could go into the open door. I tried on my clothes and continued to hear the employees talking. At no point did any employee check on me while trying on. The employees watched my daughter as she was sitting on the chair waiting for me to try the clothes on and it made her incredibly uncomfortable. The jeans that I had brought into the fitting room were too large so I had to get dressed, go back to the racks, and find the smaller size myself. At no point during any of this did anyone offer to help as they watched me going through the racks to locate my size. I tried the other pair on and was excited that they fit but growing frustrated with the experience and lack of customer service. Since no one had still come back to check on me or helped me in any way I decided that I wasn't going to spend upwards of 1K in a store that wasn't willing to help me or provide any customer service. I don't know why I had this experience at this store and can only speculate. I haven't ever experienced a complete lack of customer service like this. It was almost as if the employees didn't think I could afford to shop there so no one was willing to help me or they thought I was going to steal something. Unfortunately, if either of those was the case, their assumption was wrong and your company lost what would have been a loyal customer and free advertising by an influencer/top 10% Google guide. My negative experience will be what I share with others because it was terrible. I hope my experience can be used as a training tool and that customer service at the Daniels Road location can be improved because I can only imagine the revenue that Chicos is losing if others are treated this way when shopping in your stores. Honestly, I do not shop here however, after hearing my friends mom cry over how she felt when leaving this store I will never step foot here. My friend's mom visits Chico religiously. She supports this business by being one of their regular customer yet she just opened her eyes to how they discriminate against her. While she was in the dressing room trying on clothes she over heard staff greeting customers and asking if they need any assistance then she realized that she had never been treated that way. The employees here are primarily white and I'm assuming so are there customers. She is a women of color so once she realized this she stopped trying on her clothes and leave. Before leaving she decided to approach the manager and make it known how she felt. The manager acknowledged that she remembers her because she has seen her there multiple time yet she had no response for why her staff doesn't greet her. Before deciding to spend over thousands of dollars here consider how they treat their customers of color. No business discriminating their customers should have anyones support. read more

so I do love Chico's clothing, but time and time again I have a terrible customer service experience in this particular location in Wintergarden Village Wintergarden, Florida. My experience today was the worst. I simply needed to find where a pair of pants was in the store that was on a mannequin as you entered the store. After approximately 10 to 15 minutes of walking around and seeing if I could find it myself, I went up to the front registers where the two women working there we're going on and on about how they were the only two in the store today they seemed very disgruntled. I waited patiently for approximately 15 minutes while other customers were checking out, however both of them had extremely long ridiculous discount situations going on and after being extremely frustrated I finally said "OK. I am walking out" and I said all I have is a question and nobody would help me so this will be the last time I walk out I won't be going back. read more

Super rude sales person. Terrible customer service and vibe ion this store. No one greets you, no one to help while looking thru the store, and the only interaction that we had at check out was horrible. Very stressed and rude attendant. read more

Love Chico's clothes. But I had a downright bizarre employee experience. Usually the sales ladies in this store are helpful (Jodie, love you). But in this case she was an outright stalker. I was on an important work call during my browsing. I out the call on mute several times to tell D (I don't want to give her full name) that I was busy and just looking. This woman cases me like she was on the prowl. She constantly interrupted me, talking to me, even though I was giving her the universal shhh sign. Is it rude of me to be on a call during my browsing? Maybe? But I had to multi task finding an outfit while listening on a work call. I want talking on the call in the middle of the store. I was just listening silently while looking at clothes. I think even if I wasn't in the phone this sales lady would have been intrusive. She literally stopped me and interrupted me 10-15 times in a 20 minute period. Still, 4 stars for a place I normally like to shop, and for my fabulous sales person Jodie who always knows what looks good. read more

Incredibly unwelcoming, the individual in the front chooses who to greet and ask if they need assistance. My mother loves Chicos in Chicago, however at the Winter Garden location felt like another disrespectful world... we chose not to shop here. read more

Three strikes and they are out! I have been a loyal customer at this standalone location since I do not like going into malls. However, a happy day turned sour. After 2 years of not shopping at Chico's I went to spend my Xmas gift cards and was feeling happy. To my dismay for the third time I was not acknowledged nor asked by a sales person to take the 4 articles in my arm in the dressing room, which is usually the norm. Thus, I went in an empty one myself, erased the old names on the white board and wrote in mine. During that time I over heard a sales person ask a NEW customer (peeked out the door) to take her items to the dressing room. Needless to say she was white and I am not. I purchased my items and provided the feedback to the manager, Debbie Skinner....for the third time mind you! I asked if she remembered me...she said yes cause I have shopped there over the years and normally spend over $500 each time. I expressed my disappointment with constructive feedback. Yes, she apologized for what happened. However, I was already done! As I was explaining how I felt about what happened I started to cry because I felt so unappreciated. I will NEVER go back to this store and will have to get use to Chico's in the Millenia Mall, where ironically I am greeted and made to feel welcomed when I have gone. Teachable moment for the staff: Please learn to acknowledge and treat ALL customers with respect and appreciation in the future. read more

I love the Winter Garden Chico's! The sales associate that I've worked with there are attentive, knowledgable, and go the extra mile to help (especially, Debbie). Their store layout is welcoming and makes it easy and enjoyable to shop. If they don't have a size or color, they are quick to find it elsewhere and have it mailed. read more
