If you want want an unprofessional environment, this is the place. I have walked in several times while, who I believe is the the boss/owner, was yelling on the phone to his wife I think. Quite an awful experience. As well as seeing some of the older men behind the counter work with their bare hands. Came in a few times only one good experience with a the cashier with red hair very sweet ! Rest of the staff were lazy food was good poor service

Best pizza on LI! Sauce and dough are delicious. The speciality slices are all amazing - I love the vodka sicilian and grandma slices

Tasty, fresh, and good selection of pizzas. We came for the pizza. The Marina, Upside-Down Sicilian, and Pepperoni were generous sizes, and the pepperoni wasn't too spicy. Definitely recommend. There's a full menu and kids menu but we just came for the pizza. Next time want to try the meatballs and buffalo chicken salad.

I got the rainbow cookies, pignolia cookies, and cannolis and we scarfed each of them down. They were delicious! My favorite this from here is their prosciutto bread. They were out of the one from the bakery section but had some in the fridge. We heated them in the oven and it was just as good and only about $6-7 for each. Highly recommend!

My brother in law tells me, they opened a place called Pino's in Dix Hills! Nah, can't be the place. Sure enough, "Pino's" is the new location of Salpino's in Dix Hills! Is it really Dix Hills? It's so close to Huntington and my wife went to walt whitman high school. This stripmall back in the day, my father in law would get bagels and the NY Times every Sunday. To have this beautiful market in the old Pathmark spot warms my heart. We swung by on a Saturday to check out the new digs. The new location is big, there's a large deli counter, bakery section and meat department making homemade sausages. My wife starts shopping and zeros in on a few items like fresh lamb sausages? I see frozen pizzas from Italy (that's on sale) and grab two for late nite snacks with my sons. I order at the deli two heroes, Son of a Peach and the The Crispy Caprese sandwich. The counterperson tells me, its going to take a while to prep, he has to fry the tomatoes. I'm not in a rush, take your time young man! While we're waiting, another deli guy tells us to try the pastrami at the other end of the counter. He's slicing it up now. Be still my heart. The pastrami? Man.. I loved it. I was just at Katz (They used my picture on Yelp for a few months), there's no need to make a comparison. It's an Italian deli. I think the pastrami was very good and we brought a nice amount home. Interesting, I was told Mr. Salpino himself was slicing the pastrami?? I just dig that, my dad owned a supermarket in the Hamptons and I know how proud he's feeling opening a new location. Back to sandwiches! Son of a Peach sandwich? 10 Yelp stars. packed with Prosciutto, arugula, burrata, Sicilian peaches and finished with a hot honey drizzle. It's by far my favorite sandwich. The Crispy Caprese sandwich, breaded and fried mozzarella and breaded and fried tomatoes with a pesto drizzle. My wife and I each take a bite, wow. Just wow. Killer sandwich and here's something I have to mention. Pino's is using quality ingredients, that's why their sandwiches pop. My niece is home from college, I picked up dessert for the night at the bakery section. Lobster tails stuffed, each stuffed with cannoli cream, pistachio cream and custard. C'mom now! so soo good! Here's the thing about any Italian market. The people are so friendly. The woman checking us out is answering questions and telling us about the catering they offer. Pino's? You totally rocked it. Welcome to Huntington! (Eh, Dix hills) Now come to Stony Brook

They also have 5 other locations across Suffolk County & 1 in Queens. The restaurant is small with just enough dine in seating for about 12 customers. Service was excellent from the start of ordering our meals to an employee bringing out the food to our table. We asked the cashier for recommendations to try, and we were not disappointed. We got 2 of their combos, which comes with your choice of any cheesesteak, fries (or other side), and a free drink. We opted for their best seller cheesesteaks- the Chiddy's Signature and Citi Fielder. The Citi Fielder was your traditional cheese steak with just meat, onions and whiz. The Chiddy's Signature included onions, peppers & mushrooms with a mix of provolone and whiz. Both cheesesteaks were cooked to perfection with amazing flavor enough to compete with any original cheesesteaks from Philadelphia. You can satisfy your cheesesteak cravings without making the long trip to Philly by going to a Chiddy's location in NY. We also got a large homemade chili and mozzarella sticks to snack on for later. The chili was flavorful & cooked to perfection with a little spicy kick to keep your taste buds guessing. A good chili usually has more meat than beans, which should always be the standard & that's what they got here. One downside is not having crackers to go with the chili, but the flavor makes up for that. The mozzarella sticks were crispy & cheesy, but there was no dipping sauce to go along with them. Either way, highly recommend.

I ordered the veggie burger and my partner ordered the Brie and ham sandwich with a side of broccoli cheddar soup. The veggie burger was perfect in terms of mix of veggies, flavor and freshness and both sandwiches came with a small side of tortilla chips and fresh salsa. We also ordered a side of French fries which were also fresh. Our least favorite thing was the broccoli cheddar soup, which was a little more watery than we would have liked. Others in our party ordered a cheeseburger and an "ah love" chicken sandwich and they liked their food. I ordered a fresh lemonade and it was homemade and tasted great. The food here is very fresh and reasonably priced and very enjoyable overall. We would definitely come back the next time we are here! Looking for a burger, I picked the Zen burger which was not listed as having walnuts. I even called the restaurant to confirm this burger was nut free. When I bit into this burger, within 30 seconds, I realized something was wrong when my lips started swelling up and my throat started to close in. My husband called the restaurant back and again asked if the zen burger had walnuts. I was assured that it did not. When I said, please go ask the kitchen, the person on the phone did and confirmed, "oh, it does have a little bit of walnuts in it". I don't think that the people working here understood the severity of this and they offered a refund of the meal that we threw away. Wow, how generous! I spoke to the manager and she just said sorry and that the owner would contact us. We wound up having to go to the hospital over this, after just leaving with our newborn. What a day. It's been a week and my husband has stopped by the talk to the owner but she hasn't been there and has not called, emailed, or done anything since. I don't care if she is busy, it honestly doesn't matter, this is important and I needed some reassurance that this would never happen again to anyone since someone else could have died from this but that never happened. I guess she is just too busy to care. Unfortunately, this is a local business that I used to love but I will never come back and would advise anyone with a food allergy to go somewhere else. The next day they did update the menu and the zen burger now does say "contains walnuts" but it's not reassuring that this will never happen again.
