it has only been three months but i love this practice!…read more i toured three, maybe four, offices before i decided that this one was the one for me. it was the last one i visited and happened to be the closest to my home. dr. ulen was the one who gave us the presentation and the doctor who we have seen the most. she is great and we feel very comfortable with her. everyone has been really nice and helpful. it feels like family in there. our appointments have run very much on time. i have used a lot of their services including the after hour nurse line (eek!), met with their lactation consultant, and consulted with their GI nurse specialist. i love that they have long hours and weekend hours. this practice is pro-vaccination (to each their own and i will leave it at that). they have electronic medical records that you can access on your own. we had our one month appointment with dr. schwartz right before his retirement. he is such a sweet man and i wish there were more people on earth like him. he collects beanie babies to give out to the kiddos!

We were told by the PA her ears looked fine. 3-4 days later, her symptoms worsened, so we went to urgent care. The doctor there was unable to see her eardrums clearly because of significant earwax (!!!) and questioned how they could have been adequately examined without first removing the wax... then she was diagnosed with an ear infection. While I understand that illnesses can change over time, this experience made me question the thoroughness of the initial exam and left me with concerns about the quality of care. I hope this feedback encourages more careful evaluations when visibility is limited. Will give 2 stars because we do love the rest of the team there.

She was wonderful and helpful talking me through our options and discussing what he is doing to quell his symptoms and which meds were given to him. I was so thankful to just talk it out with someone as we will likely be bringing him home Friday and race over to CMA to be seen by doctors who know him. She really takes the time to make sure I feel confident taking care of my kids, and she's really, really good with them: patient, calming, and sweet. My two year old loves her. I think she's also a really top-notch diagnostician. My older daughter and I were really sick last year, and I'd been to my GP a few times for it, and they couldn't figure out what it was, but Dr. Welman knew what it was right away (and my doctor has been voted in the "top 100 in northern VA"...so, he's no slouch). I was a bit worried about finding a pediatrician that would be on the same page as me "philosophy" wise. Dr. Welman seems like she understands and takes into account the national recommendations for pediatric care (like for vaccines, etc.) but is also very practical and works with you to get the best care for your kids--like, I sheepishly admitted that I've been sleeping with the baby in my bed, even though the american academy of pediatrics says this is a heinous crime, and Dr. Welman was willing to talk it through with me and talk about how we can all sleep safely, without being narrowminded or judgmental. The Casey clinic is also an OB practice so while you're sitting in the waiting room, you're mostly around healthy people rather than sitting in a room full of people that are contagious with who-knows-what. I'm a bit of a germophobe and I don't freak out (too much) in the clinic's waiting room. It's not super kid-friendly (like, no toy areas, etc.) so you should probably plan to bring something to amuse your kids while you wait for your appointment, but honestly I'd rather do that than have a big area full of toys that sick kids go cough on. We've had to wait a while for some of our appointments, but we're usually running late so I'm guessing they take another patient while they're waiting for us. Today we were on time and they saw us pretty quickly.

My 4 year old, on the other hand, loved how Dr. Lamson installed a video game system in the waiting lobby and he also enjoyed the decorations that were put up in the patient room. We saw their business card at Dr. Khan's office and decided to give them a call. The front desk at My Kids Pediatrics and Adolescent Care were so sweet and professional from the very beginning. They told us we could come in and get a tour of their office before our due date. The front desk is always warm to greet us and say goodbye. Their office is clean and organized. They have flat screens with kiddie movies, books, and toys in their waiting room. Each examining room has a flat screen tv as well, chairs for parents to use, and a padded examining table. Dr. Kim and Dr. Jung are friendly, professional, humble, and personable. They love what they do and you see it through the high quality of care they provide. Jet is usually seen by Dr. Jung and she is so gentle with him. She answers our questions and is very patient. We never feel rushed here. All the employees are so sweet and knowledgeable. Overall, I'm glad we found this practice and am grateful for the care everyone provides.
