During the wellness visit, the provider briefly reviewed outside lab results I had brought with me, and I was later billed for a separate office visit associated with that discussion. I was not informed during the appointment that this could result in an additional charge. After reviewing my visit documentation, I also felt portions of the note did not fully reflect my understanding of the visit, particularly regarding the extent of evaluation performed beyond the wellness exam. After raising concerns and providing supporting documentation, the office acknowledged overlap between the preventive visit and additional billing and indicated the matter would be reviewed. However, I did not receive a final follow-up or resolution regarding the coding review or reimbursement request. I would encourage the practice to improve communication around preventive visit billing and provide more consistent follow-up during billing disputes.

I was able to eat, move around and try different birthing positions, etc. I love that they have midwives now too! I just wish they would have a few more OB/GYNs to balance things out, as many of the great ones I have had over the years have retired or moved on to new ventures. Additionally, they now require patients with gestational diabetes to see an MFM in addition to the normal prenatal appointments, which while I am glad my health was in good hands, was very inconvenient as a mom to 4 littles. But overall I am truly thankful for the incredible care Tepeyac has provided both for me and my babies. I have never felt this cared for by a medical practice.

It's so sad because they are Catholic and I was so happy and excited to find what I thought was a good Christian practice but it is not pleasant inside that office. I have met doctors who worked without functioning electricity or fancy toys or access to the latest medicine at the time that cured me of serious illnesses as a child and it is pathetic to see that for supposedly the greatest medical care in the world, this lot cares more about money than a child's wellbeing. And their billing? Utter and complete s--show. Everytime we go in there and ask if there are any outstanding dues we are told "no outstanding dues." Then suddenly a statement shows up from 6 months or 2 years prior or a collections notice. The net effect being they refused care for one of my children because of an outstanding balance for the other. Absolutely pathetic.

She is the self-appointed president of his fan club. I am pleased to report it has gotten easier to get follow up appointments. (I love the MyChart patient portal system but that's not the way to go for scheduling; you are better off calling the office directly.) The Fairfax building is gorgeous and a delight to visit. I also recommend the Ballston office. You can literally park on the curb outside the door and be in the office 30 seconds later. Ballston doesn't have the advantage of having a whole complex (lab, cafeteria, adorable gift shop, access to other docs) right there, but for a basic visit it's so convenient.

Everything appears to be from the 80's, from the wallpaper to the curtains, to the flooring to the weird clown fabric decor. Maybe they should have used some of the money they basically stole from us to redo their office. We came for both allergy shots and for pediatrics. We came every Saturday morning for nearly a year for allergy shots. Each time we came in, we were charged for an office visit. We never saw the doctor, just an inept "nurse" who sometimes showed up to work. I thought this was the norm until I called around to other offices. We were basically charged twice what we should have for an ENTIRE YEAR! While this isn't illegal (I consulted my insurance company), it is completely unethical. I've since found a practice that does our shots each week for the cost of just the shot. Now, let's talk about the pediatrics. I brought my son for his annual physical, which is 100% free with my insurance. I received a bill for a co-pay of $30. When I called Maria (there she is!) to discuss, I was told because I "asked questions during the visit" and because my son still used a pacifier, it didn't qualify as a regular physical. This is what finally cost them my business. They are unethical and should not be allowed to practice medicine. It is absurd how we were treated!
