I…read morewent in for a physical recently with a new Doctor and talked about my desire to get back in the gym and lose some weight - I've been experiencing some conditions that led me to worry about my cardiovascular health. So I was scheduled for a Nuclear Stress Test. They inject a radioactive isotope into your cardiovascular system - then use a special imaging system to capture imagery of your heart and cardiovascular system. Then they put you on a treadmill, hook up a bunch of sensors to you, get your heart rate up to 148, then inject another round of radioactive isotope into your system - then re-image you a second time. After you get off the treadmill, you are then allowed to eat some snacks and drink juice or water which they provide. The two ladies who were the nurse technicians who ran me through the sequence of steps were very nice. They warn you to expect to be there 3-4 hours - I got out in 2.5 hours. My results came back today and no problems were found - so onto the gym!

I drove a long ways In a lot of traffic to get to my appointment. I called to let them know I would be late. When arriving to the facility, the parking was terrible. I circled round and round with 4 other cars desperately looking for a space. When I got to the lab the receptionist spoke to the lab technician about my arrival. I could hear her saying, " she was suppose to be here at 9:30." He came back and wanted to reschedule me for a 15 minute procedure. It is amazing, knowing that the facility has out grown the parking lot, that you would not fit in a heart patient that communicated with you, and did everything in my power to get there for an important test. I knew from previous experiences with this lab, not late just overall attitude that would probably be the case. I hoped that I was wrong, but no the feelings I already had were right! When the doctor arrived, there were 5 bodies in the room with zero air circulation. There was a fan in the corner of the room that they didn't know how to operate. I'm pregnant and almost passed out from the extra time required for my appt while training, heat, and non existent air flow. After the testing was done, the doctor began to explain the results but spoke very technically, quickly, and inaudibly. I never received a bill to pay so I called the office. They sent me a copy of the bill, but it has been impossible to pay by credit card. I've called the office, the billing company, and no one has been able to help. After waiting nearly an hour for an agent and finally speaking to someone, the call was dropped. It shouldn't be this difficult to pay a bill. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else!

I was able to get a new patient appointment for my child, within two weeks. The office building has plenty of parking spaces, and the office is clean and modern. The waiting area has plenty of space and a children's play area my child enjoyed while we waited. The front desk staff was knowledgeable and professional. The medical assistant was absolutely wonderful. She was excellent and explained in child terms everything taking place during our appointment. She put my child at ease with all the information she was giving us. The EKG and sonogram equipment was modern, the examination rooms were spotless and spacious. The sonographer was professional and the Doctor absolutely amazing. I am very pleased with everything about this office. Do not hesitate making an appointment and taking your children to this pediatric cardiology practice. We didn't have to wait to see the doctor or get our results.

My son's primary sent him for an EKG which showed severe issues with his heart. The doctor reading these EKGs was with this practice and said my son needed a follow-up. I was not available for the initial call back and so I called and called and called and called back. You get my point. I left messages for them to call me back and that I needed to schedule an appointment for a follow-up and they never called me back. My husband went in person to their Manassas office on a Thursday and they were closed. We called their other offices in the area and they told us that we had to speak to the Manassas office. Yes, these other offices actually answered their phone. FINALLY GAVE UP. We proceeded with the only other pediatric cardiologist in our area and they were so kind and receptive to getting our 15 year old son to be seen. He has now had his now life saving procedure and is doing well. PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS PRACTICE. I don't know if the doctors are good as we never got to see them.
