When I mentioned scheduling elsewhere with a female provider, I was advised that I could no longer see the provider I was scheduled with at this clinic, and would need to pay $200 for canceling my appointment that they made me cancel because I was uncomfortable. The receptionists are very rude and unprofessional. Once you mention going somewhere other than to their clinic, they treat you terrible. I would advise going LITERALLY anywhere else.

I came to Kavalier and Associates at the recommendation of my brother and sister-in-law. Dr. Kavalier sees their daughter who is on the autism spectrum. They sang his praises highly. I had my diagnosis in place when I came to Kavalier and Associates as well as a medication regime that was working for me at the time. Over the few years I have been going to Kavalier and Associates, I have worked with them to adjust my meds as needed and sought out counselling as needed. I have never been uncomfortable or made to feel unwelcome. On a side note, I do think it is important that the patient, or the patient care providers play an active role in knowing what meds the patient is on and what side effects they can have. There is no doctor, at least that I am aware of, who can force a person to take a medication that he does not want to or that his care providers say "no" to.

The first person that called to confirm our appointment recommended that we reschedule I pretty much got upset and ask them if they were going to see my son or not they told me yes and that they would see us at three then five minutes later another employee calls back and is trying to get us to reschedule somewhere else then they're trying to make me talk to the supervisor to get me to change my appointment because I don't want too. This is the only location that has ever told me that they are not going to see my son when the other ones are booked

This is a professional opinion only. He could be a nice person, but he definitely needs some real world experience in how to help people with mental issues. Dr Gucfa, who is in the same practice, is supposed to be very good. We were referred to him by other medical professionals. But since we saw Krohn first (appointment times for Gucfa were over a month out but Krohn had time available any day {now we know why} we weren't allowed to change. It's difficult enough to ask for mental help. This makes it feel even more hopeless when you go to someone who can't provide help or hope.
