This YMCA didn't provide me a breakdown of what my toddler was going to go over. I didn't even know that was a thing until another YMCA gave me a welcome sheet at the first class! They set the standard high. It's summer, so there are a lot of people and summer camps, especially with it being a noon class. They could definitely increase the seating area for parents, and put more shaded areas. The pool is a little tight. The kids water play area is awesome, for babies and older kids. It's not a terrible YMCA, but it's definitely congested and I've experienced better instructors and customer service elsewhere.

But... the toilet was blocked and over flowing...stank.. not just a one off, plus 6am on morning. The sauna smell of old sweat... the hot tub had black scum around the top. Four inches of scum so not just an over sight. The steam room smelt stale. Plus the room at back of shower was either blowing or sucking the smell or moisture from or into the shower area. I am not sure why this issue is happening but the membership is not cheap and whilst i know its a charity, the cost of membership should cover cleanliness of the most basic form. I need to say i do cross fit at a clean location at $200 a month so the cost of membership is not the issue, but compromising my cancer treatment is. I am happy to remove this post if i am refunded my membership fee and the location rectifies this situation immediately.

To our surprise it has been the best experience I could imagine! The class sizes are smaller than what I am use to and the teachers are so friendly and nice. We have been so happy we have transferred our other daughter over. What they do for the community is amazing and the sliding tuition scale benefits so many families who live and work on the Island. I am grateful for what they have been able to do for our familiy (especially during COVID when good care was hard to come by). I only wish I new how great they were 3 years ago.

We are a multicultural, bilingual early childhood education program open five days a week, year round, from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The Children's Center is the only childcare facility in the Lowcountry with a sliding-scale fee structure. We are located on the north end of Hilton Head, serving over 160 children daily. Of the children currently enrolled, nearly 40% come from off island, including Bluffton, Beaufort and beyond. Our Center offers programming for children beginning at 6 weeks of age and continues through their entry into kindergarten. We also partner with local schools to provide before and after care for children through second grade. During summer break, we provide a Summer Camp for emerging kindergarteners to second graders that focuses activities around the elimination of learning loss in math and literacy.

I was treated well, all my questions were answered decently and respectful. I was given a week free experience pass. I left for atlanta 3/29 for a funeral then another unexpected one. I spent the whole month of April. Returned back to Hinesville on 5/5/25 and began my free week today (5/19) to get acculated in the water. First day was phenomenal. I will do membership afterwards. Told a neighbor and she is taking her children to join for summer. Great job to all who make me a success to enter the pool at 73yrs old. Coach Ryan introduced me to Olympic Weightlifting and three years forward I can call myself an athlete. Childcare was life saving while we were stationed here. Miss V, Miss Sarah, Miss Saida were excepcional, always professional, respectful and loving to my kids. Not a single problem during the three years I was a member, I hate to leave this community behind because they've done so much for our family. I will always recommend this gym to anyone with kids or in the military. They truly made our lives better.
