It's a great way for the little ones to explore and expend some energy while meeting & playing with other kiddos. Terra Play Center is located in Lake Nona, and while it's quite a drive from me, this is by far my favorite play center so far! You do need to book a reservation online in advance because the time slots do sell out everyday, and they do not accept walk-ins if they are at capacity. I love that you can book 2 hours for $20 which is a great deal and the perfect amount of play time. Entry includes up to 3 caregiver passes at no extra charge. Adults are required to wear socks at all times and kids must wear the grippy Terra Play Socks ($3.99). Once you purchase them the first time, you can continue to wear them for future visits. Upon walking in, I was amazed by the sheer size of the play area and it's beautiful unique design. My son was just in awe. They have so many little nooks to explore, including a dedicated area for crawlers which we really appreciated during our first visit as my son was not quite walking yet. It was also not overly crowded which was a relief. He loved the climbing blocks, swing, ball pits, and trampolines. I was most impressed by how clean and well maintained the facility was. You will see staff continuously cleaning and wiping down surfaces the entire time that you are there. I even watched them remove every single ball from the ball pit in between play sessions to wash & sanitize. I know that germs can be a big concern for many parents when it comes to these play places, but seeing this definitely gave me peace of mind. They also have a stunning cafe area to order coffee & snacks, as well as seating to either relax or get some work done (where you can still keep an eye on your kiddos while they play). And by their word they were there first thing on party day to complete the installation. Never a hiccup never missed a beat. Being kept informed the entire process was great. I think she had a few other instructors or helped but for the most part, she did everything by herself. When we first arrived, the kids got to run around a bit and play with all the equipment. They had tons of play mats scattered around the room, a small ball pit, rings, parallel bars, high bars, zip lining, and a few other small kids activities. Our group had kids that varied in ages from 2-16 years old. Many of the parents, super young and the older kids were just hanging around watching the other kids play. The area is spacious and clean. Nikki would gather the kids to do different activities such as zip lining, parachute and tumbling. Then she would allow them a break in between and let them go play on their own. Once the pizza arrived, the kids got to go into the birthday room and eat and drink. They had enough pizza for some of the parents too. Then kids went to play and we gathered the kids to sing happy birthday and cut the cake. I think with the party, you invite the guests and bring a cake. They take care of everything else! Our kids had a blast and everything was well organized. Even the parents had a good time. At one point, our husbands were hanging out in the small ball pit. Haha. That extra $8-13 to park my car here for an hour or two *really* hurts, and more than one friend has told me that additional fee is what's stopping them from coming more often. I believe there were about 400 people in attendance and it never felt overly congested. I can definitely see this becoming a popular wedding and party venue and there are so many ways to get creative with the space and tailor it to your individualized needs.
