Just an update this place is still a money hungry location. Make sure you view your kids X-rays before approving any work to be done. More cavity's more money for drs$$$ no type of comfort is given to children. 1/27/25 These reviews are only here because of the Starbucks gift card they give for a good review. This place is the worst. My daughter is not a fan of the dentist and after this visit she probably won't be even a bit. The nurses were next to my daughter ready to hold her down that made her more scared. She started to cry and the dentist straight away insisted to strap her down. My son had a traumatic experience here. The dentist only seem to care about the money that they are getting paid by the insurance. They drilled into my sons teeth with zero anastesia (because he was too young and would move) or nitrous (he was so panicked that he did not breath the nitrous in through his nose the way that he needed to in order for it to take affect) it was an awful experience. As "professionals" they should have never even started treatment if they knew that the child would feel everything. These doctors are barbaric and they shouldn't be working with children. Traumatizing them!! After reading many of the comments these doctors have a trend going on. Very un caring and evil ! I WILL NEVER GO BACK. read more

They have no patience for kids I took my son with autism and he was mistreated. My oldest kids got work done here they give them the worst toy you can think of I know it's not about the toy but u can't open a door w toys and expect them not to get one then u have a bucket with cheap toys for smaller kids maybe that's okay. Front desk is nice I didn't catch her name but she was very polite also X ray girl and one other one in the back w glasses thin one young lady very sweet either than that you all need to learn to work with children or go Work else where. Been coming three years since I moved to California loved it until today there's a reason we call ahead of time to know what they steps will be on a procedure and you guys go and blind side and do the opposite! That lost it for me! Thank you for amazing years but after today! I hope the work you did on my two year old was worth every penny! do not take your kids here!!! my past visit for my then 4year old daughter did not go well at all they throw all kinds of additional cost at you after swipping your insurance max balance out clean $1500 .....the dentist threatend to knock my childs teeth out of her mouth with the mouth prop if she refused to open her mouth without a numbing agent just to make matters worse .. the assistants like to wear their emotions on there sleeves in the worst way which created such an uncomfortable environment for both me and my child... my daughter is also autistic and has high levels of anxiety so she was scared and kept crying and to make matters worse she was strapped down from her head to her ankles and that was so traumatizing for my daughter i was both upset and angry.... as soon as i left i called my husband crying and ever since our experience with this dental office my daughter will not let anyone touch her head she flips out completely and starts panicking and push your hand off of her head... do not go to this place and if you have a disabled child most definitely dont go to this place they have no kind of care at this place the dentist himself was rude and threatened my child even after a few years i still get upset every time i think about that day. i truly regret ever taking my daughter to this place it was a nightmare that i never want her of myself to ever have to relive.... read more

Went in for our 1st visit and the staff was excellent. When we checked in we were seen almost immediately after filling in our paperwork. They examined both of my boys and the staff calmed and assured my both that they were doing great. It was the fastest experience at a dental office, ever. Nice and clean dental office. Kids loved it. This is the most unprofessional clinic ever . Mind you this was my sons first time there so I thought ok a kid friendly dentist why not . Service was rapid , two dentist to give their opinion I agreed to have my son get crowns , i come home and my sons tooth is missing . So I call them and they want to say it was in the plans ? PLANS no one ever mentioned to me , there was TWO dentist present, 3-4 dental assistants and not a single one of them can tell me my sons tooth was getting extracted ? Meanwhile main dentist and dental assistants are gathered up around my child talking about their plans after work ? So FUCKEN UNPROFESSIONAL ! I don't recommend . Sadly I had to call back and ask why it was extracted to begin with, and dentist wants to tell me I can stop by to get a look of the xrays and get explained why , why would I even want to go back to this place . DO NOT BRING YOUR KIDS HERE. One of the male staff was making remarks to my 3year old as if my 3year old was a grown man. The FEMALE dentist that worked on my son today, cut his tongue with the drill and blamed my son. She then also got mad and lost her patience and pushed his tongue back as he was choking up because he couldn't swallow when they had the puff in his mouth. DO NOT GO HERE. They also got upset and as soon as they were done, they walked out QUIET and gave me and my children the silent treatment. DO NOT GO HERE. DO NOT COME HERE. The staff is so rude. The dental assistant tried to take jabs and say remarks to my five year old it was so awkward. My daughter asked what did she do wrong? I was so mad I was teary eyed. She told my daughter she will choke on her loose teeth in her sleep. They also told me she needed a crown and fillings and her loose teeth pulled so she wouldn't choke. You can choke on any teeth! They wanted to do everything at once. The girl looked at my daughter and said and we will pin you down if you move. I finally said No you will not! We left. we went to sugar busters on e st. THEY ARE THE SWEETEST STAFF. The doctor was confused about everything i was telling her and my daughter doesn't need a crown , but fillings are a must . If she needed the crown that would've been fine but it's a children's dentist the way they went about it , Where's the encouragement , the comfort level?I shouldn't have to be at bat for my kid with someone traumatizing her about the dentist . Her baby teeth that are loose are on their way out and her new dentist prefers to let them fall naturally. They are healthy and on the right path. Dental World just wanted the money. Their staff is a joke . I asked for my daughters x-rays and they are so hesitant. Do not go there. On the wall it says if you leave a google review you get a starbucks gift card . I took my son today for a regular check up. He had two very deep cavities on the bottom teeth which I knew about. They needed to pup crown which they did and let me tell you the experience was HORRIBLE !!!!! The Dentist Ki Hun Sung was so rude to his staff! At one point the assistant almost fell because the Dentist was being rude. He was being extremely rough on my terrified child and was pissed of at his assistants for not doing what he wanted them to do! Such a horrible kids dentist. I felt so helpless. They made the experience even more horrible. I was just about to grab my child and leave but already had two huge wholes in his mouth !!!! I was so ANGRY !!!! Do not come here! I brought my daughter for a check up and found cavities that needed to be filled. The dentist spoke about how the procedure would be "traumatizing" and that I can "think about it the next time I'm brushing her teeth". There was a child screaming in the other room and he said "that's what we're gonna have to go through", referring to the screams. He said all of this in front of my already terrified 4-year-old. I went straight to the office on Highland and they were wonderful! Do not come to this office. Do your children a favor and go to Children's Dental World on Highland and Del Rosa. First time I went they were friendly I kept going there thinking would stay that way this last time I went with my 2 kids they were so busy waited for an hr with appointment! they didn't bother to tell they only had 1 doctor until they had me inside and already taking the X-rays on my kids.. my oldest was not able to get his fillings done after all we waited and my youngest son has autism he don't have much patience waiting specially don't like going to the dentist and they were not nice no one try to help to try make him stay calm, nurses just looked annoyed he was screaming!! Doesn't deserve a star. I came to this dentist because it looked like a nice place to bring my 3 year old. they traumatized my poor girl they did a root canal ONLY numbed the area did not put her to sleep they don't even explain in full detail they're procedures. They strapped her down hands and this one man held my poor baby's head down so hard my daughter did so much force on her face she has red spots All over her face, neck, it even went to her back and ears! It's blood clots tiny little ones from all the force she did trying to get up.I am livid . Her eyes are so swollen I couldn't do anything because he had already started but just seeing your child cry in so much pain literally SCREAMING and crying broke me. One lady said he can't stop he has to finish! so traumatizing forget her first visit! They should use laughing gas they don't even offer anything they just say oh we just numb the area...but on a 3 year old come on! Fucking traumatic NEVER AGAIN. oh but at the end they give the kids a toy.. my daughter couldn't even walk! She was so out of it, sweating , crying ! I am so mad this place is HORRIBLE. The service was very quick to add my daughter a crown. They offered me laughing gas for my daughter since she was very nervous but once they brought it out the nurses were stalling there to check the gas and they were giving my daughter oxygen instead on accident. Then I told the dentist assistant since you guys didn't have gas my insurance won't be charged for it right? The Dr. Proceeds to tell me that was free either way.. I think to myself ok? When my daughter was getting the cavity off they brought in a nurse to grab her head and another two to assist. My daughter said afterwards that the still hurt her and she wasn't numb. Mind you my daughter is five years old. This was such a bad experience because my daughter got traumatized. I felt like my daughter was treated like just another transaction of the day. I brought my 3 year old daughter here everyone was nice welcoming an all. Wait time wasn't long, finally we get back and the doctor tells me my daughter has 4 large cavities they need to be taken out right away and replaced with sliver caps. When I asked about getting the white caps he said it wasn't recommended since she was so young it would be hard to take care of them.. they wanted to do the procedure right then and there. I wasn't comfortable with how fast it was all moving so I left made a appointment with another dentist turns out my daughter only 1 large cavity and yes that needed to be capped but they did recommend her getting the white cap said it wasn't hard to take care of just basic brushing. If given crazy amount of cavities I would highly recommend getting a second opinion. read more

Well, wish I had read reviews before coming. The staff was nice. I liked them a lot. It was the treatment and trauma my son went through that I didn't care for. Although it was quick, I'm a dental assistant myself and I wish I had gotten a second opinion before I let them put all those silver caps in my sons mouth, I can barely sleep thinking of how I should've went with my gut! And it's two days later!...I asked about white caps and they didn't suggest it... and only silver fillings. My son already had a white filling and it's doing just fine. As a parent I feel terrible to have put my baby thru that, thinking it was best.. you could hear kids screaming left and right in there. They need to work on that... my sons HATES the dentist now and I hate bringing him. Being nice, but giving a kid more treatment than he needs robs the whole family of a happy dental experience. My baby can barely talk now with all that silver in his mouth... thanks but we won't be back. And shut the play area down. There's a virus out for Pete's sake! read more
