The pictures and reviews seemed very kid-friendly --and the office did not disappoint. They welcome the kids with a toy dispenser machine and an interactive video game in the waiting room. The nurse who assisted us was super sweet, affirming my son and building his confidence every step of the way. The area where they clean teeth and discuss the treatment plan is just one large room --not a lot of individual privacy, but it feels open and inviting. There's one large TV playing movies, which helped keep my son calm & at ease. All the nurses seemed super nice and friendly, but the actual dentist/Dr. seemed a bit aloof. When he finally appeared to discuss my son's x-ray, he did not introduce himself to me and he barely greeted my son. He was very thorough in explaining the issue/treatment needed, though. Unfortunately, I have to give 3 stars because the setup for treatment is not at all ideal. They ask parents to sign a form saying that the child can be strapped into a papoose blanket (which looks a bit like a straitjacket attached to a flat board) or to have their wrists strapped down to the chair (for the child's safety) AND then they also don't allow parents in the same room as the child while the procedure is being performed. Even though it was explained that I could watch my son from the doorway, behind a glass door, there is NO WAY I would allow my preschooler to be strapped down, surrounded by strangers and undergoing a procedure without my presence. We declined any further service --which was a real shame, since we both appreciated the office and staff. They ought to rethink their policies regarding this.

The reason for my low rating is because after briefly looking at my child's mouth for a few seconds, the doctor said my toddler had 9 cavities. I decided to do X-rays and he said he saw the same thing. He didn't even explain anything. I took him to a different dentist for a 2nd opinion and he took a thorough look at my son's mouth and then X Rays. He took his time to explain that his teeth are stained and that the cavities haven't formed yet on some teeth (which can be seen in the X Rays) - but do need extra care with frequent brushing and using toothpaste with fluoride. It turned out he only had 3 we needed to get filled. Be careful with why they tell you!!!! This doctor didn't even explain anything to me. And they don't let you be in the room with your child while they do the procedures- another reason I went to a different dentist.

Upon reaching out they were going to be closed but happened to be able to get me in on a day off with clear and concise explanations of all fees. Due to the extreme nature of my situation Dr Sandy and the entire office was able to asses the situation professionally, quickly and referred me to the right people with her name and stamp on it.
