I have to say that Dr. Heidi G. is STELLAR- she alone gets 5 star plus. I do , however, in good conscience, have to say that her office staff leaves a bit to be desired. They were not that helpful and a bit rude when posed with a question to which they did not know the answer. (I liken it to young cashiers that do not know how to add or subtract making change if the COMPUTERIZED register goes out-sheer panic.) THAT being SAID, PLEASE do not be DISSUADED from bringing your children to see her. Her level of ease and comforting manner with children are top-notch. Her knowledge in her field (she has a fabulously informative website as well) are first rate. Dr. G gets a 5 star plus+-in our book and if you have any concerns or questions, she is MORE THAN happy to answer all of them and put you and your child at ease!! GO see Dr. G!!! read more

Dr. Heidi is gentle and knowledgeable. She learned about our situation and then individualized a treatment plan for my daughters eczema needs. On both of my visits I was about 10 minutes late, however, the office staff was friendly and said it was okay. I visited the location in Orange in which I learned you have to park across the street and then walk to the building. The office staff gave me a parking voucher/or validated my ticket, can't remember the term they used but ask them so you don't have to pay for parking. Overall, 10/10 experience. Dr Heidi and her staff are amazing. We felt taken care of from the moment of making an appointment to checking out with a follow up appointment scheduled. My daughter is shy and stubborn and Dr Heidi was so patient with her and able to make her feel more comfortable. We've also been so several pediatric dermatologists and I've never had a doctor take the time to explain her skin issues with such clarity. My 15 month old preemie and 8 year old son have been having an extreme rash for over a month now and the pediatrician weren't able to figure out what was happening. They sent in a referral for them to be seen by a dermatologist, but did warn me that might take weeks or months which at this point my kids didn't have. I did a google search called several places who had a long wait till I did a search tor children's dermatologist and found Dr. Goodarzi. What a blessing that was! Called the office and was able to make an appointment for my kids. The young lady in the front desk who I believe was named Duaa was extremely sweet and helpful and Dr. Goodarzi herself is amazing. I made an appointment with Dr. Goodarzi after 2 misdiagnosis for my 6 year old son. She was absolutely Wonderful with her explanation and treatment. His skin eared up and he was doing much better until another concerning skin issue popped up and it was different than the first. She was so thorough with her explanation and treatment. She has wonderful staff! I was able to get in when I noticed he was getting worse. Dr. Goodarzi was just superb! Her educational background is so comforting as a parent, to just know that I am definitely getting the best care for my child. It was great how professional she is and her explanation towards my son so that he was comfortable was awesome. I love that she gave me options as far as treatments go and allowed me to make the choice I was comfortable with, for my child. I trust her and her staff and I am very thankful to have found such a wonderful, compassionate, and intelligent doctor. She could relate to my motherly emotions as I was concerned for my child. We brought our 7 month old baby to see Dr. Goodarzi for eczema and she set us on the path toward success. We had seen multiple dermatologists and had been really struggling with finding the right regimen for him. He kept having so many flare-ups and it would be one step forward, and 10 steps back. Within a few visits, she worked with us to find the right regimen, and he is doing SO much better! She is also extremely patient and sweet with him and it makes the visits that much more special. Never again! Finally, found someone who knows what they are doing. My 15 year old daughter is special needs. Song with her other disabilities, she is diagnosed with PIK3CA. This is where a messenger in your system starts to relay mixed messages and your body will respond to these mixed messages by developing abnormally. Your body thinks it's responding normally, but it doesn't know the messages are being misinterpreted. Her journey to clear up her acne began 3 years ago. We tried all the TV ads, most name brand acne products, and even high end skin care products. All of them promised her clear skin. I expressed my concern with her Genetics Doctor, as her face and her pimples, or now pustule sized, we getting larger and more inflamed. Nothing would work for her. Her genetics doctor recommended Dr. Goodarzi. I wasn't hopeful, as nothing worked, but I figured to just give it a shot. We were desperate. It wasn't an easy feat for Dr. Goodarzi. She had her assumptions of what was going on, but so asked her if we can take it slow. She respected my wishes and was extremely patient with me. My daughter, who is special needs, loves her. My daughter isn't very comfortable in medical office settings, but she is very comfortable here. Dr. Goodarzi has wonderful bedside manners and talks to my daughter as if she wasn't special needs. My daughter loves her. After Dr. Goodarzi allowed me to venture slowly, she decided to let me know it was time to push forward. I was hesitant because it included internal meds. Dr Goodarzi, was able to find out the root of her acne. It's not your typical acne. My daughter has an overgrowth syndrome and this is why NOTHING, was able to help her. I had no idea. Dr. Goodarzi was very diligent with explaining to me everything that was going on in my daughters system: her treatment was successful. My daughter would probably need continued dermatological care. We can only hope Dr. Goodarzi continues to practice here. We are grateful for her knowledge that she has obtained throughout her career. If you were able to find Dr. Goodarzi, you are lucky. She is extremely knowledgeable in this field and I'm grateful that my daughter and I will never again feel hopeless when it comes to her skin condition. It's a process, be patient. My daughter has a severe eczema, she was referred to different dermatologist around the area she was given steroids creams that helps a little but I know we are not getting the thorough treatment/care because she is being seen by these dermatologists for like few minutes and prescribed and leave the room then scheduled next appointment after 3-6months. No teachings, no compassion, nothing. I was discouraged to be seen again by dermatologists. We were referred to allergist instead which is better but still I feel like there's more options yo help her than the steroid cream, she can barely sleep at night, some days her eczema at oozing. Nevertheless her helpful PCP insisted to refer us to another dermatologist this time pediatric. It was hard to find pediatric dermatologist that within the network of my insurance and finally the PCP office found Dr. Goodarzi. First appointment we already had hope my daughter came home knowing she will be free from this nightmare of having eczema all over her body. We got treatment plan and as planned everything went well, her office staff are very helpful polite and on top! Thanks to them, my little girl is starting to feel better finally after many years of finding a compassionate doctor that will help us. Thanks to Dr. Goodarzi and her team! This dermatologist does not listen. Dr. Heidi will ask you a question and then interrupt and speak over you so you don't get a chance to tell her anything. A good doctor listens. I feel I can't trust her with my daughter's care since she barely listened. The front office was very friendly, but Dr. Heidi was such an awful listener that I will never return. I was appalled at how she cross contaminated a jar of antifungal cream by double dipping her fingers with the same ones she used to spread the ointment on my daughter's diaper rash. We drove two hours to get help for my daughter, but we left feeling beyond frustrated at her poor listening skills. I wasn't able to tell her much, so I ended up shutting down after the first five minutes, because I knew she wouldn't listen or take my daughter seriously. I was so angry, it took everything in me to not leave midway through the appointment. I had to keep repeating myself, only to be interrupted each time by her. When I would try to answer a question or tell her issues that we drove two hours to discuss with her, she would not listen or pause long enough to let me finish. She was dismissive, impatient, rushed us, and had the audacity to call my baby chunky. She's lost weight because she's been so sick. Why anyone comments on the body of a baby negatively is beyond rude. We came to Orange County because people at Loma Linda weren't taking my daughter seriously enough nor had compassion for what my daughter has been enduring for months. We were hoping for better treatment for my daughter and speak with a specialist to get better guidance. Everything she told us to do is what we have already been doing, minus switching to a different ointment. It was such a waste of time and gas. *Edited note due to their response: Dr. Heidi most definitely did not spend one hour with us, we were not done any favors. Even if she did spend an hour with us, our insurance paid for a 60-70 minute visit, so we were entitled to that in the first place, since that is what she is getting paid for. It was a new patient visit. It is not my fault it was not scheduled appropriately if Dr. Heidi needed to tend to other patients by a certain time. After the doctor left, I had to repack everything in my baby's diaper bag and get my baby settled. Her assistant came back in the room and said, "You can leave now." I looked at her and said, "We're packing up, we need a minute. I'm packing up as fast as I can." It couldn't have taken more than 3-5 minutes for me to put all the things away I had to unpack while we were there. Taking fingers that you used to spread ointment on an infected area of skin and reusing those same contaminated fingers to dunk back into a jar of ointment and reapply is definitely cross contamination. It's disgusting you don't see what a big deal that can be. Maybe she also sees this as a "first world problem" as she dismissively said to us that day. It's disgusting that you guys aren't appalled at this and won't change how you do this in the future. Once again, I said the front office was friendly. It was Dr. Heidi we were frustrated with as she would not let us speak long enough before constantly interrupting or speaking over us. My son went in to get his thumb checked due to noticing a brown stripe on his left thumbnail. Naturally I was anxious for the appointment; however Dr. Goodarzi explained everything thoroughly and assured me that everything was ok. I cannot stop RAVING about Dr. Heidi and her staff! I recommend her practice over any other dermatologist in all of Orange County! Dr. Heidi takes the time and patience to sit down with her patients to examine the issue and ask questions along the way. She really cares about her patience, and it made my experience there wonderful! She is extremely knowledgeable and explains the diagnosis in a patient and warm demeanor. My son got very servere ezema, it was all over his body. My brother told me to call Dr. Goodarzi office, but the appointment was 2 weeks later. So I went to other derma dr that have earlier appointment than dr. Goodarzi, but only saw the PA. My son's condition did not improve at all after 12 days. Then we saw Dr. Goodarzi, I could tell right away that dr. Goodarzi was much better than the last one. She checked the infection areas carefully, took sample of that areas for testing to confirm her treatment is correct. She gave my son description and explain that he can take the medication for that moment, her staff would call back after receive the test result to let us know if he could continue to take the drugs or change to others. The test came out as she guessed, but the staff still called me to confirm. My son skin is much much better now. I am so happy. Thank you dr. Goodarzi. What i like the most about the staff is they taking phone call very quick and very helpful with dealing with pharmacy. read more
