Instead of addressing my concerns professionally, they condescendingly remarked that visiting the doctor's room doesn't grant me the right to know what I'm being charged for. This kind of attitude is not only unprofessional but also unacceptable when dealing with healthcare billing. It's a basic expectation for patients to have clarity about the costs associated with their medical visits. The dismissive and disrespectful tone from their billing representative was really disappointing and made me change my primary doctor for my two kids because it was not the first time I had to call for extra charge.

It doesn't make any sense. I have been filing with my daughter's FMLA for two years now and the doctor has always filled the information out for me and fax it over to My Job, But for some reason, it ended up canceling itself because the doctor never sent in my babies medical certifications. As I am updating the doctor with all of the necessary information and had the new information fax to her she told me to come to the office and sign the paperwork and I asked her did I need to bring my daughter and she said no because she's all up-to-date with all of her shots and she has no reason to come in. I kid you not, this woman at the front desk told me to my face that because of my daughter's needs, she needs to see her more often in order for me to sign her FMLA, I mentioned to her that that doesn't make any sense and why didn't you guys tell me that before I came here when I asked you guys if I needed to bring her, I live all the way in Brandon in this doctor is in Tampa and I took my baby to daycare already and they just told me on the phone, not to bring her, Next thing you know this lady goes in the back to go talk to the doctor and then she comes back and says unfortunately you're still gonna have to make that appointment just because of my daughter's needs. when I tell yall my majority of my whole entire family goes to this office and have been going here for more than 20 plus years, with me as a patient and later a parent of a patient of this office watching new people become employed into this office never have I ever been told to take my daughter somewhere else because you guys did not want to sign FMLA paperwork. I absolutely do not recommend this doctor to anyone. I will be pulling my daughter out of this office because the disrespect was real that white lady got in my face and told me straight up to take my daughter somewhere else as her primary, never have I ever gave these people any problems or even turned up in their office, and to be honest I really should have because you guys told me not to bring her and I drove my ass 30 minutes down the highway while I'm supposed to be working to do exactly what you guys even left me a voicemail to do which was to come down here sign some paperwork and that was it. When they called for my copay I already know it's the same 25$ all the time. Well this time the girl at the front (seemed very stressed out & probably new) tried to charge me 79$ when I asked her why she said "i don't know this is what it says" and I told her well I'm sry but why is it so much now if it's always 25$ she then began to work on another chart and kinda threw me off to the side. Then this other assistant who has in the past been very helpful steppes in and checked my chart. She told the girl that there was papers missing and that where did she get the 79$ from. She then checked the system and come to find out she wasn't processing anything right and had missed a step. My copay magically went back to 25$. If I would have been someone else and not known about insurance and copays I would have walked out overpaying and God knows if I would have been reimbursed. We were also seen my a nurse practitioner and to be honest she was much nicer and professional than the Dr herself. I asked the staff why the last time I went in they told me my daughter was late on her vaccines she said the dr should have been calling me to remind me. Well guess what.... The dr never calls me. This place is not worthy of the 5 stars. The staff is out to lunch and I've been waiting since this morning for the prescription that hasn't been sent to the pharmacy yet.

We have been seeing Albanna for over 15 years. He is a kind, genuine Dr who truly wants the best…read morefor each of his patients. He always puts the kids first and helps them with whatever it may be related to physical health, mental health or school or social issues. He is a true blessing to our family. His office staff is kind and always tries to squeeze you in for an appt when the kids are sick. As a mother, that is one of the best things an office can do to help families. We can never repay Albanna for all of the kindness he has shown towards our family.

I need not have been worried Dr. Demery is aces! He is well-informed, affable, and very attentive, as I'm happy to report, is everyone I've encountered at the practice. The practice is easy to get a hold of and communicates well in-person, over the phone, and through their app. (‍ I swear I'm not using a chatbot but realized I may sound like one having just given three qualities in a row. ) The office is conveniently located off of Linebaugh on Wilsky, the latter of which streets puts you right on the Veterans Memorial Highway. Plenty of parking. A big convenience store is next door if you have a hankering for something before you head home. Pro tip: if you have been a good patient AND ask politely, I hear they will let you pick out a sticker as you leave the office.

He always spends a lot of time talking through things with me, even when I feel like I'm the one who's in a rush to get the kids back to school. I also appreciate how good he seems about remembering children and their families. I feel like we are more than a chart to him. My younger son was bouncing all over the wall when we had our appointment, Dr. B did a great job redirecting his attention and making sure he did a thorough exam. I also find it very easy to get same-day sick appointments when needed. We may not always see Dr. B when we need one immediately, but I found all of the staff there is fantastic. They actually never seem super busy, which is nice. It means that your child is probably in the waiting room by themselves playing or with one other child. I appreciate how they have a child's waiting room and an adult waiting room, because I also come to this practice and see NP Ritchie. Overall we've always had a very positive experience here. They've also improved their wait times so I never feel like I'm waiting long. Everyone we interact with is always kind and professional from the front staff to the doctors. I would highly recommend come here.

My child was seen by Brittany Ortiz, NP, on January 31st, and the lack of professionalism and medical accuracy was deeply concerning. Hygiene Issues: I had to personally ask the NP to put on gloves before she touched my child's open wound--a basic safety protocol that should never be overlooked. Medical Negligence: My child was prescribed respiratory medication for a skin condition. Because of this incorrect treatment, the condition worsened, leading us to the Emergency Room the next day. ER Intervention: The ER physician confirmed the original prescription would never have worked for my child's issue. They immediately started the correct treatment. Misinformation: I was told a recommended soap was "online only," yet I found it on local store shelves immediately after the appointment. As a parent, I trusted this clinic, but the care we received was unacceptable. Please be cautious if your child is scheduled with this provider.
