My wife and I are first-time parents and naturally we had many anxieties and fears that came with this new chapter. An unanticipated change that we needed to address was our son's need for a helmet. We haven't even started the process and I give these guys 10 star if I could ! We started with CT for their free consult. They have OTs do consult which are not specialized in orthotics but whatever. We needed the band so we were told insurance didn't cover it so cost is $2300. While waiting for measurement appointment we got a prior aut from our insurance saying it's was deemed necessary so I reached out and they acted like this was news so now it was down to $1000 "co pay" which again was odd since our insurance pays for orthotics. I scheduled a consult with Alicia after colleagues and my daughter pediatrician recommended COP ! She is amazing ! They submitted the insurance prior aut as "an orthotic" like it should be and co pay is $50. I called our insurance out of curiosity to see why two in network orthotics have such a huge copay difference and I was told CT is submitting the band not as an orthotic which means we have to meet deductible but COP submits it as what it is so co pay is $50 !! Don't even bother visiting with CT !! This is the place you should call if you need orthotics ! read more

1. The office feels like home. They think of every detail to make u feel at home. I have never seen a clinic with changing tables in the restroom with different sized diapers and wipes. It's always clean and comfortable too. 2. The staff are so professional and warm. Most of my baby's appointments are scheduled after my 12hr night shift so getting everything ready has been a challenge yet the staff are still so accommodating and flexible with the schedule changes. Alicia and her staff are very informative. They'd walk you through the procedures and paperwork step by step. Going in and out of there is such a breeze. I was very skeptical when my doctor recommended a helmet for my youngest. I worried about how she'd take to it. I wondered if it would hurt and affect her sleep. From the very first appointment, Alice put my fears at ease. She took her time to answer all of my questions and at the end of the consultation I felt better. I felt confident in the process. They also have the nicest, most kid friendly doctor office. My 3 year old loves going to the appointments simply because of the toys she can play with while waiting (and it's never a long wait!) They also have a baby friendly bathroom with wipes and extra diapers just in case which comes in handy. Although our insurance did cover a portion of the helmet, we still had to pay some out of pocket. They were nice enough to allow us to pay in 3 increments which is very helpful for our finances. 4 months later and I have no regrets! Just as dr suspected, baby did NOT seem to mind at all and got used to it fairly quickly. Not to mention the results are amazing! Had an appt for my son last week due to his continual toe walking. Now as a teenager and with his most recent growth spurt we noticed a huge difference in his gait. After a recent visit with his pediatrician, we received a referral for him to wear AFO's to help. I double checked that the office was considered in network and proceeded to read reviews. I called just to get more info on AFO's, what to expect, if there were any limits to activities, etc and was given undivided attn by Alicia and that reassured me that this was the place for us to go. Making an appointment was easy. Once we arrived, we were greeted and filled out the paperwork. We were offered water, tea or coffee. The provider was personable, engaged in conversation with him and didn't gear the questions to me, which I think is important. She was efficient, walking us through every step. It helped to put him at ease and makes the thought of wearing the AFO's not seem so daunting. Since we haven't made our deductible for the year, we end up paying for them mostly out of pocket, but him getting an improvement in his ability to stand straight up with both heels touching the floor is worth it. Overall, warm and friendly staff. Clean exam room. Lots of parking. So happy we found this place!!! read more

I could not be happier with this facility. My son has a lot doctor appointments for various things. It is so refreshing to visit a Healthcare provider that really pays attention to detail and makes you feel comfortable. The front office has complimentary coffee and waters, the bathroom has a really nice changing table with wipes and diapers in all sizes, and the patient rooms are equipped with toys and books to keep your little ones entertained while waiting for the professional. About 4 months ago our pediatrician recommended we visit Alicia at Children's Orthotics. Since the very first visit the whole staff made us feel so comfortable and answered our every question. They are patient willing to work as far as appointments, insurance and payments. The office was always in spectacular shape, always clean and they were always offering us complimentary water, coffee, tea, hot chocolate and snacks. They have a full changing table stocked with diapers and wipes. Our son wore a helmet for 4 months. At first I was very skeptical thinking it would affect his movement or sleeping, I was assured by the staff that he wouldn't mind. Sure enough, he adapted right to it and didn't bother him one bit. Very friendly from the start, Alicia is a skilled pro at measuring and handling the kiddos and making sure they are comfortable and the helmet (in our case) does its job. She answered all our questions (we had a whole ton of those) and even helped navigated our insurance difficulties. She and her husband Chris focus individualized attention on each client; you don't feel like you're lost at sea in an overbooked bureaucratic nightmare that only wants your copay. This review is long overdue. My son was born with a funky looking head shape. The pediatrician on duty at the hospital attributed it to him being a breech baby and said it would work itself out in time. My son's regular pediatrician agreed with that sentiment. But in the weeks that followed it seemed to get worse. My pediatrician was baffled and so decided to give a call to the mom of a patient of his who just so happened to be a helmet specialist. Enter Alicia...our angel. Instead of waiting for the typical 4 month mark to be seen for a shaping helmet, Alicia and my ped decided to send a referral early so she could take a look at my son at 2 months to make a plan for his future possible helmeting needs. Within minutes she told us she suspected saggital craniosynotosis, a premature fusion of a suture in his skull that was restricting normal growth and gave is a rundown of what that entailed. I had never heard of this before so I was numb. But because of her early identification, in the weeks that followed jumping through hoops with more referrals to a craniofacial team and neurosurgeon and insurance hurdles we were able to get my son in for a less evasive surgery to correct his skull that would not have likely been available had we waited to see her until he was 4 months old. Alicia was with us for the 1 year plus of my son's helmeting journey to correct his head shape following surgery. Her and her staff were always so enjoyable to see. They remembered my son always and were every bit excited about his growth and milestones in that time as I was. The facility is always clean with lots of toys and distractions for kiddos. I highly recommend Children's Orthotics & Prosthetics. My child needed a cranial remolding helmet due to torticollis and I was a self-referral after googling this particular need. Alicia is an experienced professional, specializing in pediatrics. The initial consult was free and she was willing to work with us for the cost of the helmet, since Tricare does not cover it. My child made excellent progress in a short amount of time. We followed Alicia's prescribed schedule for wear and follow-up visits were always convenient for our schedule. When we were alerted about our sons plagiocephaly late (around 12 months), we were in a panic and worried that it was too late to have it fixed. I called Children's OP and spoke directly with Alicia. She was able to get us in the next day for a consultation. It turned out our son needed a cranial band helmet and the staff went above and beyond to get our helmet approved by insurance and started on before the end of the year to help ease costs for us. My family's experience was the best ! The front staff and the doctors were awesome. As soon as walking in we were greeted and offered complimentary coffee/water. Basically there was no wait time and we were seen by a male doctor. He was very informative about the procedure of the helmet for our 7month old baby. He explained throughly for us to understand. The room we were in was honestly quite impressive! Lots of toys and made us feel welcomed. The doctor did give us a handout for what to improve. At the end our baby has no need for a helmet her head is just slightly flat but he did want to bring a second opinion and this time it was a female doctor. She was amazing she really knows how to work with kids. Even though our baby was in the close range of normal they didn't brush it off and sent us home right away. The made us feel reassured that we can come back around 2 months to see if everything is still alright. I'd like to thank the front office lady for her customer service !
