While looking for a knee brace for my mom at a medical supply store (LV Pharmacy & Medical Supplies) one of the staff recommended POP Prosthetics. I was happy to find it. It was exactly what my mom needed for knee support after a torn tendon. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They take walk ins as it's like a pharmacy, prescription needed for braces and anything else. We drove back to doctor's office and were able to get a prescription for her condition. They completely wasted 3 weeks of my time to tell me that the doctor forgot to sign the form describing her level of instability. They could have faxed or emailed the form over to them. Or given it back to me when I was at there office. Their only concern was billing the insurance company. I have a 92 year old handicapped mother that was waiting for her knee brace only to have them call me 3 weeks later to tell me that there was a problem with the paperwork. Trying to get a hold of anybody takes three days. I've been trying to get my daughter her AFO's since late February where it took an act of Congress to finally get an appointment in April. Finally we got the appointment the 7th of April. The specialist who casted her was great, I have no issue there. My problem is they are so short staffed and I cannot get a straight answer as to where her AFO's are now. I call, I email, I never get a response back. The reasons are numerous. In October started the process of getting orthodics and compression stockings. Never got the stockings due to my doctors "mistake" on medical notes and ruined my orthodics twice. Paid for them and just wished I could get my money back so I can have my podiatrist make them I stead. Waiting over 7 months to get orthodics done properly or to even get a live person on the phone is not a way you do business with people. I know the pandemic has been hard on many medical facilities and I know there's issues with supply chain and lack of staff but to never be able to get people on the phone or get lack of proper customer service when you need help is not professional at all. This place used to be great about 5 years ago. I don't know what happened. I hope they work the issues out. If you have to go to one of their offices go to the Tonopah location better. read more

NOTE, if you are trying to find this place on the building it is the actual spelling of the acronym "Precision Orthotics & Prosthetics." It is called POP Prosthetics and on paper the POP logo is big so when I was looking for the location I was literally looking for the word POP. Don't do what I did! I was referred to POP by my doctor to obtain a hand brace. I was a bit confused because I thought it would be a regular store where you just walk in and pick up a brace, but when I arrived they had me check in, full out paperwork, obtained my driver's license and insurance. Similar to a doctor visit. I had a few questions, but the person at the front mentioned it was only her second day working so I said, "no problem, we can learn and find out together." They processed my insurance and gave me an option to bill my insurance to meet my deductible or pay for it without billing my insurance which would've been cheaper. Honestly, I thought was a bit weird, but I chose to bill my insurance. After that, they called my name and walked me into a room. The girl asked me a few questions then obtained my hand brace. She showed me how to try it on then I was on my way. One suggestion: you should notify the patient upon arrive the process to obtain the brace. I wasn't expecting to spend 40 minutes in there and I didn't know it would've been similar to a doctor's visit. The 3 girls in the front were super nice and friendly. The one that obtained my brace even offered me water while I was waiting. I'm not sure how they compare to other places because I've never had to shop for a brace before, but overall the experience was a positive one. read more

I really wish I had never given a five star rating, just so I could for this place and have you know how spectacular it is! Jess made me feel safe, and totally comfortable. It was perfect from the phone call all the way through. You may have to wait to get your things, but since my surgery is in the morning they got me hooked up today. They went above and beyond to get me approved for TWO sets! Thought I could only get one. A very nice surprise. She not only answered my questions for now, but also for that time in the future when I need something different! The fake chest didn't fit right, I went back twice. Both times they helped without a problem. It made me feel a lot better. Jess is moving to the Henderson office. I hope it's a promotion. She truly deserves it! My Orthopedic Surgeon recommended I get a brace for my chronic knee issues. I went in without an appointment but they squeezed me in. I was measured and my brace was ordered for me. When it arrived they didn't just hand me the brace and send me on my way ( like another place did years ago to me). They brought me in, made sure it fit well and discussed what each strap was doing/ supporting so that I can make minor adjustments of my own as I wore it. Initially had to drive to their office to set up my appointment to get fitted for a leg brace as they were not answering their phones and their voice mailbox was full. Informed by the recording to call back at another time and after attempting numerous calls, gave up and drove to their location. I had the first appointment just after their lunch time only to have the Tech show up 15 minutes late. I cancelled my order this morning after being informed by POP that they were still waiting for my "Doctor's Notes" from my last visit 6 weeks ago. My doctor's office indicated to me that they faxed the notes over a month ago. The communication is lacking with this company thus will avoid doing business with them in the future. read more

Are they out of business? Eleven calls yesterday and no answer, the voicemail box is full so I cannot leave a message. Been trying to reach them ALL WEEK and nothing. No answer this morning either. I would understand why they are out of business. We had the prescription for our 5 year old daughter's braces sent in TWO MONTHS ago and they have yet to even start them. Why? Because they do not have a copy of the doctor's notes that say a prescription was sent... They have the prescription, which they received from the doctor directly... They have the doctors notes... Which they received from the doctor directly... But the notes do not state the prescription was sent so apparently they cannot do anything??? We are going elsewhere at this point. We have to. Our daughter has outgrown her braces and we cannot wait anymore. So since you do not answer you phone, consider this our notice of cancellation. The automated answering machine likes to say, "we believe a good company should earn its customer trust and respect!" This would be funny considering how horrible the company is if it wasn't for the fact that our daughter's ability to walk is being compromised. read more

When Jeff worked at POP we always had the best care and our answers always were answered and he paid attention to detail. Over the past two months we have attempted to work the prosthetist and office manage to get new sockets made. My husbands appointments are cancelled and the office manager always indicates it is because she does not have the information from the general physician (who is in the same parking lot), the items need to be authorized (but amounts were provided in writing one month ago). It is frustrating, this office brought me to the point of being very direct. I did ask to have Jimmy C give me a call as I would like to discuss moving forward or transitioning to a facility that can make my husband new socket(s). Just Thursday, May 12, 2022 appointment cancelled due to insurance authorization (we are told)- appointment is for a fitting. Then, Monday, May 17th get the call the appointment is rescheduled to May 23. We would appreciate Jimmy C getting back to my husband and I because it seems the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing or the office just does not want to be honest about employees not coming to work. I am a recent customer .They made me a leg. The leg never fit right. included with the leg was a foot which never felt right. I was back four times to try to make this work. The owner Jimmy told me they would make this right . They lied They would not let me try another foot. Their advertisement says their customers become part of the family , that is right until they get paid by the insurance company, then they want nothing to do with you.I have gone to another place where they are making a new leg with a much better foot. 1. Very long time to reach someone on the phone. 2. Show up for appointment and wait over 30 minutes with no one else in waiting room. When asked about the delay, they said waiting to confirm insurance, which was given to them when appointment was made a week or more earlier. 3. Told brace may take 2 weeks, and after waiting and calling was told Dr. did not fill out form properly. 4. I called Dr. for them, got it straight, then told 2 weeks later they needed more info from Dr. They could have told me the first time. 5. I called Dr. for them again and Dr. said the info they needed was on form. 6. Called POP again and waited 10 more days and they called me and said insurance wouldn't accept it. They should have checked with the insurance over a month earlier. 20 years of dealing with Dr's and insurance and they are by far the worst company in two decades I have ever dealt with. Complete incompetence. The co-pay with them would have been about 68.00, the nearly same brace we ordered from Amazon and received in a few days was 55.00. Check with Amazon before buying and dealing with them. They can only treat people so poorly because of their insurance affiliation, otherwise they would be out of business or sued. read more

I get 3 compresing stocking a year through my culinary union. Went to get them, it happens that I had a procedure I needed a up to the hip stocking and they exchanged it. THEY BOTH RIPPED UP while I was in my healing process. I was called to work so I went to exchanged them. Manager would just give me the same pair up to the hip which I do not need anymore. They kept them because I don't need them. So, they helped me exchanging to the right stockings for the procedure but they can not give me the ones I need to go to work the stockings were all ripped and I did not get a refund or the stockings I requested. It was all manager decision. I told him I will not get the same type of stockings since I was not going to use them. So I walked out empty handed. You should be flexible to customer's need, how could you exchange them when they are brand new and not when they are defected and not offer a refunded? read more

The waiting room is horribly inadequate. And the staff exacerbates this situation. I will try to explain. Many or most of the patients are mobility challenged. They have walkers crutches canes and wheelchairs. The doors from the outside and to the exam rooms are not wide enough for easy egress for many of the wheelchairs. And because the waiting times are very long the waiting room fills up. The initial check-in works like this: Firstly a patient has to sign-in. Then try to get a seat. Then you are called back to get the batch of forms. They they turn in the forms. Then they have to give them your insurance card. Then you have to give ID. Each time I tripped over crutches while yo-yoing back and forth to the receptionist desk. I was already in pain. If the staff would go to the patient and retrieve the paperwork if would be practicing better medicine (and customer service). read more

This place is horrible!!! Please save yourself from the horrible customer service and the billing department. My husband went in and got some compression socks and was waiting for his insurance to kick in so he used mine . He got the socks and paid his copay etc ... They sent us a bill a few weeks ago for$231.84 my insurance wasn't the primary for my husband. So I called to let them know my husband didn't know he was covered at the time and to give the insurance info for his insurance. The lady in billing was so rude after I told he what happen a honest mistake she basically told me that it was my problem and that I had to pay for it because it's been over 90 Day . I told I just got the bill a few weeks ago and we Submitted paperwork to my husband's primary insurance. So when everything arrived to me it hasn't even been 90 days . All she has to do is Resubmit the bill for his insurance and wait and see what came back but she is Horrible customer service and didn't want to help whatsoever. I'm really sorry she hates her job. BEWARE!! It only takes one bad encounter to ruin the entire visit with a doctor. Dr. Elden was very attentive and helpful, I even took my dad to get diabetic shoes because how well the doctor worked. Unfortunately, Jennifer a reception clerk contradicted the information the doctor and the check out clerk gave me, saying my mom needed to be present. I specifically asked if I could pick up my mom's brace without her being present I was told yes by the doctor and the check out clerk. Jennifer also took it upon herself to give me incorrect information claiming my mom's surgery was still "pending. " information in regards to the surgery is not part of Jennifer's duties she only needed to worry about the brace information, since that's what her office handles. I understand insurance delays and authorizations, which is why I confirmed with the insurance and even took the brace approval number. When I told Jennifer about the approval she insisted it did not get approved I told her to call the insurance office. I also called the insurance office, and was told my mom's surgery was approved last month. When I told this to Jennifer after returning with my mom she simply shrugged, no apology or anything. All of this could've been avoided if they answered the phone, but that's another issue. If it's a time sensitive issue you need help with you'll get a call back after business hours or the next day. My issue was time sensitive because the surgery is the next day in the morning, there is no time to wait around. In conclusion, I will not be returning aside from picking up the shoes ordered for my dad. I also informed the referral I gave to look for another office. read more
