I have never had a problem at any CPT locations other than this one. I am not sure if the lady I keep seeing there is the manager or not (middle aged woman with long dark brown hair); but if she is, the CPT owners need to rethink their decision. I have been tanning with CPT for about 7 years now. I started with the 22 mile road location, moved to the Livernois location, and frequent the Mound location as I work out at the gym in the same plaza. Every time I go into the Mound location, I am strictly guided on what to tan in, amount of time, and bombarded with unnecessary questions. Again, I have been tanning for about 7 years and I know what levels I can do, how much time, lotions, etc. etc.. If I want to up my time for the bed by ONE minute, I should be able to do so. I understand if I wanted to make a jump like 5 minutes but ONE?? Not to mention that who I assume is the manager of the Mound location I have seen outside the salon on multiple occasions on her phone and smoking. I feel that doing that is a bad look for the company considering she is on the clock and wearing CPT apparel. I will never go back to this location. It is a shame to have to write this as I love CPT but that location is nothing but problematic. I will be sticking to my Livernois location from now on as they treat me like a human, and not just a person with a dollar sign over my head. read more

I came in for a last minute airbrush tan after mine had been messed up at bodybing tanning and the woman who did my tan was not only clean and professional but she did an amazing job at making sure I left happy after having such a bad experience somewhere else. The price is amazing and she really went above and beyond to make me happy and comfortable as i'm sure she does with all of her customers!! The staff have not and do not wear masks at all. Nice, but disappointed in their covid prevention requirements. Edit after owners comment: Staff had not worn masks prior to the previous guideline that came out this week. Each time I had gone in there for the past months leading up to this week, I witnessed no masks. I would think each time maybe it would be different and masks would be worn, but that expectation never changed. This is my own observation. read more

I thought that this place would be different because I never had to wait for a bed and the staff seemed friendly. But do not be fooled, they are scammers. Upon signing up, I chose a 3 month membership for a discounted rate. SPECIFICALLY asking If I need to call or physically cancel after 3 months. The sales rep told me NO, it would auto cancel after 3 months. I remembered the sales rep that signed me up specifically, as I was seeing her weekly for 3 months. 6 months later I realized I was still being charged. When I called to address the mistake, the employee told me they couldn't cancel via phone, I had to come in (I don't even live here anymore!) When asked if I could speak to the manager to explain, she told me "shes not in". I asked if I could be called back. I was told "She wont be in for a while". Frustrated now, I said "Okay, how long will that be?" and the employee (in a snarky tone) said "I can't tell you her personal business" SO I left my name and number with the bitchy employee and asked that ANY manager/higher level employee could PLEASE give me a call back. I never got one. Had to drive all the way back there to cancel in person, was not given a refund, and the staff was extremely rude when I expressed my frustration with the fact that I am still not able to speak to a manager?!?! read more

Had my first spray tan by a professional (have used the booths before) I was very nervous and self conscious. I was impressed today when I walked in curious to begin a membership after a nice workout next door. They have four different levels when I asked what the real difference was she said level 1 you have a 75% chance of burning, level 2 is a 50% level 3 is a 25% and level 4 you have a 2% chance of burning. The level 1 package was $20 unlimited for a month and the level 4 was somewhere around $120. I ended up with a level 3 unlimited deal, bought some nice lotion for around $20, and goggles for $1.50. If your a member at the gym you get a 30% discount, and if you sign up for their email club you get 50% one time off which I used. You also get a one time upgrade so today I used the level 4 what they call "Flip" bed. I'm pale skinned so I told her I usually start between 6-8 minutes. She recommended 14 in this bed so it's 7 on the front side, then midway you flip over and it's 7 on the back side while laying on a comfy mattress. When I got out I was really pink, but I wasn't worried given the 2% chance of burning. When I got home the pinkness went away, my freckles are out, and I already see a little difference! I'm excited to see how the level 3 beds work, but I think using the upgrade for the first day helped for a good foundation. The young woman at the desk was very knowledgable, helpful, and friendly. Sam walked me through the entire process both at the register and then again inside the spray tan room. She also patiently answered all of my questions. For their prices, I would expect somewhat newer equipment. It's mostly the same equipment from the previous owners in 2003. The bulbs are always burned out. The staff is friendly and the place is always clean. But I don't appreciate this place randomly swiping my credit card that's on file because I'm on the monthly plan that's automatically taken out on the 7th. A lady there said I could also pay in person monthly which is my preference. But they've swiped my card on random days 6 times this month. So now on top of a $40 membership, my bank is charging me decline fees every time they enter in my card numbers on their file. Not cool! read more

I was a customer for almost a decade. I regularly purchased the highest level visits as I was told they will never expire. Unfortunately they decided to change their policy and never sent out a notification. I went to go in for a visit and had to pay because I was told my visits expired 2 days prior. I never would have purchased extra visits had I known they would expire. Now I am going to take my business somewhere that does not make fraudulent promises. read more
