I'm not quick to write reviews, good or bad. However, last night I had the best service I have ever had from any restaurant. Our server, Darlene (aka "Grandma"), was the most delightful woman. The consensus was unanimous for my family, this was by far the best service any of us have had at a restaurant. Darlene made us feel as though we were apart of the family! Very,very disappointed. This was my second visit to this chili's, the first time i ordered steak and they forgot the steak sauce.(ok).... Now tonight i ordered a grilled chicken salad,and when i got to my hotel room there was no dressing. I called and they said there should have been dressing. My first time to this Chili's. Still not comfortable Eating inside, so we ordered a pick up. The staff was really helpful when we had to add to our order and make a special request. The food was great and a good amount. The mango chicken my friend said was the best she had. Ordered last night, the manner by the name Cindy was rude as F**k. Gave us a hard time about ordering 20 mins before closing time. Food was cold and old. Very very unsatisfied with the quality and presentation of the food. Portion sizes were very smaller than normally. Barstow Chili's is a disgrace to the company and would like for it to be handled. We visit this restaurant on the way home from Vegas. It was a great because it was next to the Tesla charging station, so we did not need to walk a far distance and was able to charge the Tesla at the same time. I came inside first, it was pretty empty, I can only see one staff at the bar. I did not know if I seat myself or wait for someone. There were no signs or staff around. I walked to the bar and finally got the attention of the bartender. She said for me to wait and someone will seat me. So I walked back by the podium and waited for the waitress to sit me. There are no hostess at this restaraunt. I sat down, and had my drinks ordered. The waitress was nice and sweet. She took our order and then someone else brought out the food. People were going in and out. The restaraunt was empty and not full to capacity. The food: I order the asparagus for appetizers and they were delicious. It was fried but it should not have been too fried because the esparagus was overcooked. I received my Santa Fe salads and it was excellent. I really like the salad here. It was delicious. My friend ordered me a Watermelon drink, it had vodka in it, but not too much ice. It was delicious as well. When I was eating, I begin people come in and start seating themselves, they did not wait. I think this restaraunt needs to be more clearer about seating procedures instead of making me or other people chasing around a staff. read more

11//19/22. We've come to this Chili's for decades, but we've watched it steadily spiral into mediocre-bad food while prices steadily go up, up, up. Tonight the chicken salad, which was supposed to have chicken, black beans, corn salsa and avocado, had only chicken, lettuce, tortilla strips, everything else was missing in action. It looked anemic and unappetizing. An "old timer" hamburger was "ok", the fries were a waste of space tasting like freezer fries that had seen better days. The floor was dirty. The waitresses were nice to us, they deserve to work in a better place. They did their best. We won't be going to Chili's anymore. It's way too expensive, the food needs CPR. We stop here every so often and I have to say they have the best service of all the Chili's I've been to. Everyone is friendly and accommodating. Service is so fast sometimes you get your drink as your telling the waiter. Food in general is a bit too heavy for me. Meaning, the burgers are huge( but delicious), soups are thick and creamy, and the chicken is saturated in sauce. This time I ordered the Cajun chicken pasta and it was a bit too dry for me but I did enjoy the paprika sprinkled on top. They have special deals all the time so it's hard not to come out of there feeling stuffed. read more

My husband and I always dine at this chilis. But tonight we had exceptional service. Our waitress RIMA was outstanding! These days it's hard to get good service but she made our night. We have been going to the Barstow Chili's since it opened. Worse experience we ever had tonight. Only 6 tables with people. Was told to wait a minimum of 20 minutes for a table, plenty clean ones in sight. Told we had to go outside it was cold and windy. We waited only about 15 min and was seated next to front door. Had 3 servers tell us someone would be with us shortly. Menus where on-line, hard to navigate and harder to read. After 15 mins of no server showing we up and left. When advising hostes we would be leaving she could have cared less. That was 35 minutes I'll never get back. Worse service here ever. read more

I haven't been to a Chili's in a long time but since it was next door to my hotel I found it super convenient to walk across the street for a quick meal. The place was packed with people which led to slow service. I ordered the ribeye medium rare but it came out between medium and well done. My wife ordered the sirloin which came out as ordered. We did receive a free desert but I would have preferred the steak being cooked correctly. On a positive note the salsa was superb. I could have made that my dinner. read more

With that said, i felt that my waiter was very unprofessional calling us babe, love, dear, ect.. im not her babe and if it were a man calling me that i would be extremely uncomfortable bc normally that normal escalates. I have not eaten at a Chilis in over a year because of the consistently bad service I have received. Came here today because it's what the group voted on. Loved the updated menu and choices but the experience was taken to another level due to our waitress Benji. She was so pleasant and attentive. I would give this place a much higher rating except the music is always SO inappropriately loud. Right now the place is nearly full, so loads of ambient noise. In addition to that wretchedly cheap speakers are filling any open air in the room. We stop here about 8/9 times a year on our way home from Albuquerque. The music is always too loud. Every time we ask for it to be turned down. Sometimes it gets a little better, sometimes not. My head is always tired from the drive. I just want a salad and a drink. The staff, btw, are wonderful. I went to the chilis in barstow, my whole order came out to $40. I was very disappointed with the fact that during these covid times where people are scared to leave there home, I am supporting the local barstow businesses and the fact that my steak was well done when I ordered medium well and my asparagus was hardly cooked makes me very upset. My order alone was 16 dollars and my boyfriend got the 3 for 10 and it was way tastier and better looking than my $16 plate.I will definitely not be returning to this chilis. When asked if they were waiting to pay their bill, one if them said no, the restaurant had lost their original order and now they had to get it to go as they needed to catch a bus. Ate here today to get lunch while our car was charging. My husband got his ribs and sausage (decent) and my kid had boneless wings (marginal but fine) I ordered the southwest chicken salad. Here is the description: Spicy grilled chicken, pico, avocado, cilantro, tortilla strips, house-made ranch & a drizzle of spicy Santa Fe sauce. I asked for this with no cheese or tortilla strips. It came out 5 min after my families food came. It had friend chicken and covered in cheese. I said this isn't what I ordered? It said it was grilled chicken? She grabbed it and brought it back. 15 + min later, and my family has completed eating and we needed to get back on the road. She brings it out, grilled chicken but still covered in cheese. She said it has cheese on it, is that ok? Ummm nope, so we didn't pay for my salad, and I drove hungry for 4 + more hours. They were busy and I have worked on restaurants. We got here at 11:15am. We had 4 adults and 3 kids. Order taken quickly and she brought oranges for the kids. My husband never got his drink. We never saw our server again. We asked for a drink for him and the bus boy brought him a kids cup? Our food was fresh and delicious! However we had 2 forks and again the waitress never came back. So we took turns sharing 2 forks because we couldn't her anyone's attention. We waited 20 minutes to pay because our iPad was broken. I went to the bar where 3 women were behind the bar standing around: they informed me they don't work on "that side" and called a manager. I told the bartender either find me a way to pay or I'm leaving without paying. 5 minutes later the manager rings us up. Absolutely the worst service EVER. I had given this place a 5 about a year ago. But since then, it has gone down tremendously. The service is slow, food is cold and takes too long. No hostess at door the last 4 times we went. No managment present which explains the lack of good service. They are alway under staffed making the staff work harder and giving less attention to the guests. Even after completing to Corporate, I gave it another try. And still horrible service. Not sure why it has gone down so fast? Maybe change of staff or management? Either way, we will not be back. Ordered loaded mash potatoes, chicken strips, salad, and a side of fries. Only thing I enjoyed was the mash potatoes, waiter was kind so customer service is alright. Biggest problem my chicken strips came with the wrong sauce three times when I wanted mango habanero so by the time I got the correct sauce my chicken got cold so not the best experience. Wow - most of the reviews of this place are pretty negative with bad service seeming to be the biggest complaint. I gotta admit that the appeal of Chili's to me is probably based on my college days, but there are days that I miss this food, especially since there are no locations close to the Pasadena area. The chance to eat at Chili's on my way to Vegas seemed so appealing that I just had to do it. Mrs. C clearly ordered the best, with her pick 3 appetizers out of 8 or 9 items I liked everything on her plate & should have ordered that. I got the crispy chicken tacos with rice & beans which were ok, but pretty similar to something that I could have made at home with frozen chicken strips in a toaster oven & some tortillas. However, the roasted corn guacamole was a huge serving & *excellent*. Definitely getting this the next time I'm at a Chili's. I'd say that the service was a tad slow, but nothing like what the other Yelpers experienced. Maybe corporate is paying attention to the reviews & put in some additional training or managers. A competent meal gets 3 stars to hopefully balance out all of the problems that seem to be fixed. read more

I always order the same thing. Appetizer-wings, bone-in. This time, however, my husband and I were told we could each get two entrees, share a side and a dessert, and 2 drinks for $25 total.
