Right off the highway, you cannot miss this place - outside is a giant ice cream sundae structure that you can even see from afar. To take quick breaks, my husband and I stopped by here twice during our trip from Los Angeles to Las Vegas and back. Not only were we able to easily charge our vehicle, but we also got to check out the massive store, which has cool retro vibes. Considering the amount of people coming in and out from this place, I was pleasantly surprised at how clean the restroom was. The restrooms seemed decently sized as well, so there weren't any ridiculously long lines. In addition, many come here for food and entertainment. There are a bunch of candies, snacks, and souvenirs for sale, along with food vendors, a small entertainment area, and a dedicated homemade ice cream bar. There are plenty of things to keep both kids and adults busy.

When I went inside the store, I felt the warmth of the staff. They are all polite and friendly, that includes the shoppers as well. I bought some snacks for the family for our 2 nights stay in LV (for the Bruno Mars Concert) The healthy snacks I bought almost got finished and we aren't even in our hotel room yet. The snacks I bought were all delicious and fresh. Anyway, on our way back to SD we stopped over again. I bought big packs of Macadamia nuts, cashew nuts, dried Kiwi, dried pineapple. I got addicted eating the nuts and the dried fruits; as of today, 'think there is only one serving left. I tried to check their website to check if I can order online, but it seems I can't. I was joking to my son if he can drive me there to get my favorite snacks (he laughed.) How I wish they can offer an online service. For those who are heading to Vegas, stop by to this place. I am recommending this place, it's a place where you can relax, and feel amazingly comfortable.

The parking lot was pretty packed and they have a massive lot. It was seat yourself at any open tables without a reserved sign. Plus all the room was utilized which was a first time seeing it. I'm used to just having a table in the main room and that's that. But this visit, it was packed. Service was great with everything going on. Of course I love my usual, the fried chicken meal for breakfast...lol... It does take a while to prepare which they alway mentioned. That comes with a side of green beans and either mashed or fries. The dish and another we order did come but with everything we didn't ask for. Waitress was very sweet and did take care of us and replaced what was wrong. Food has alway been great every time we've been. I've only had a few things from the menu as i tend to stick to what I like here. The place is a fun spot for families. A nice little back garden area with a stage and fun statues. Pond has loads of turtles but has seen better days with the green algae water. Overall, it's a fun diner that is worth checking out along the 15.

The service was not good. It could have been that it was Memorial Day and. 59s Diner is quite appealing to a traffic filled highway. It was crowded so it took over 15min to get seated. Our drinks were served after a brief wait, but then it took the waitress about another 15min to get to us to take our order! Then we waited a while to get our food. All in all, we spent more time waiting than eating . The small booth seating, across from the stool seats offer a not so roomy walkway. The gentleman playing pushed in a wheelchair kept bumping into both sides of the walkway, bumping people in the process. Not his fault, but the walkway should be wider! The food was GREAT, but I dont think I'll stop by again. The gift shop is filled with so many nostalgic items from enamel pins, to clothing and candies.

It was a Saturday morning around 9:30ish and was surprised it wasn't that busy. We found a booth and saw we had to scan a QR code for the menu. OK, I admit, I hate that. Then they had instructions to download the app to place your order. I assume this was put in place for COVID. Finally, a waitress came over and said she'll take our order. Thank goodness! I ordered French Toast with sausage patties, which I totally prefer over links but it's so rare to find them on the menu, and my partner had a breakfast burrito. The food arrived fairly quick and it was perfect. I'm not into fancy breakfast foods so keep is simple and I'm happy. The breakfast burrito was HUGE and my partner wasn't able to finish it. The entire breakfast with coffee was about $40, which I felt was very reasonable by today's standards. We both mentioned how we recently went to famous SoCal fast food hamburger joint (not In-and-Out) and it was $30 for 2 people, and not as good. Our service was super friendly, and we felt welcome there. Along with good food, this might be our regular breakfast stop when driving to Vegas.

If you're tired of the tourist crowds and lines at EddieWorld, I recommend this place for the convenience. I ordered the pastrami sandwich with fries based on the friendly guy's recommendation inside the order window. The $14.00 price was reasonable. Service was slow, though. I guess it's because he's the only guy there taking orders and making the food. By the time I took a bite of the pastrami sandwich, the wait was worth it. The taste is what you'd expect from a "typical" pastrami sandwich made fresh. I've had some phenomenal pastramis in my lifetime, and when I say "typical", it's a complement.

We placed our order at the kiosk, and when my husband tried to order an Oreo shake, we were told the shake machine had already been cleaned and couldn't be used--even though they don't close until 10 PM. It was frustrating, especially since there were still cars being served in the drive-thru and plenty of time left before closing. I understand cleaning procedures are important, but turning away customers hours before closing for something as simple as a shake was a letdown. Definitely not the experience we were hoping for.
