I haven't been at a Chili's in a long time and I've been to this particular location in the past. This time around I wasn't impressed at all. I was there before choir rehearsal so we didn't have that much time and it was a week night. We had to wait which it is what it is and I really didn't care much but was surprised. But it also was after Sandy so people probably still were out of power and just wanting to get out. So our time at the table chilling would be shorter. Whatever. Since I'm trying to control swelling in old injuries, I decided to order the combo platter that they have and get the grilled salmon and shrimp with broccoli and rice. Sounds healthy but no. The salmon had so much salt on it and the same for the rice and my poor broccoli was rotten. I was horrified to see how degraded the vegetable was and how could they not see that, it was gray. And they steamed it and put it on the plate and served it. I had the server bring me more and digging into the bowl, I found more rotten broccoli. When she came to clean our table I had a pile of rotten broccoli in front of me, do you think when I said again it still wasn't good that they'd knock something off the bill or offer me something else. They did not. Both my dining partners ordered burgers. The server did not ask them how they liked their beef and served both like hockey pucks. Next time I'll pass and go to White Diamond or any other eatery in Clark before I go back. read more

Visited this location 8/21/2014 about 6pm. We noticed, s soon as we were seated, our table (booth) was greasy and sticky and needed to be wiped. The host came back with a spray bottle and towel and sprayed and wiped down the table. The overspray landed on us. Welcome to Chili's. Our host introduced us to the Ziosk which is a mini tablet based menu, payment center and game console. (we were warned that games would ring up charges) . The Ziosk is a great idea however they apparently are not cleaned so as I ran my finger across its surface, rather than a clean smooth feel which you would expect or hope for, you could feel small bumps from food matter stuck and dried to the screen glass as you swiped through the system. I had to wash my hands after using it because it felt so 'skeevy'. I was able to find a coupon on my phone and scan it in for a free app so, point for Ziosk here. What Ziosk could really use is a way to alert your server that you need sever assistance which would be convenient instead of trying to find your server and then trying to get their attention. The restroom location forces guests to walk past the kitchen which was in full view. I have no problem with that but the logistics caused me to almost collide with a server scurrying out of the kitchen. Additionally, if you are going to have guest traffic near a fully open kitchen, I suggest you keep the kitchen clean. This night, the kitchen floor was a littered with food, napkins and looked pretty yucky. I was not feeling comfortable after viewing it. I could understand (maybe) if this was 11pm after a heavy service but the restaurant was 1/4 full at the time. It filled up soon after We placed our order which was a wing app and two entrees. The wings came in a basket along with two plates. The plates were disgusting. They were wet, greasy and had food traces on them and were immediately sent back. . The food itself was tasty and the staff was friendly and helpful. This is my first time at this location and my overall impression is that the cleanliness of this restaurant is very much lacking and makes me hesitant to return. read more

Since when do you go to Chili's for dinner and get told they have no ribs? What's their damn slogan again? "I want my baby backs?" We were there by 5 pm for dinner and after we've ordered drinks, then appetizers then dinner they come back and tell us they have no ribs. If Chili's does not have ribs they sure should have a sign on the front door letting people know BEFORE they come in that the dinner item in their own slogan is not available. A few weeks ago at the urging of our mayor, we decided to give our business to local restaurants who were doing takeout during the pandemic. We ordered from Chili's in Clark NJ through Grubhub. The food was delivered and was missing one of the main entrées. Aside from that, the food was ice cold. The Texas fries were gelatinous mass. The sampler that I ordered was thrown into the box the eggrolls weren't cut it was awful. We called the restaurant and told them that our entrées were missing and they said that we would have to contact Grubhub. Upon contact in Grubhub they said that was not the case as the food was ordered through the Restaurant website we need to call them back. I did and I spoke to a manager who I believe her name was Jen or Jess. She apologized and told me she was going to refund my money back to my credit card and that it may take five business days. We never received back the credit to my credit card and we also emailed Chili's twice to tell them about our bad experience and never heard back from them I wish there was less than zero stars because I would give it to them. They have two hosts on the weekends, and I never understood why they did not have the responsibility to wipe down the menus. Went there for dinner to take advantage of a triple reward points offer. Management was clueless that it was going on. Server didn't know if I would be credited triple reward point to my account either. Despite the place being deserted, we were seated in a booth which had a 12" tear in the seat cushion. my friend and I went to dinner last night, i will say it was pretty busy and I have worked in the food industry so I am very understanding and patient. It wasn't a good sign when we walked in and there was a little wait and the hostess already seemed overwhelmed. The waiter we had was very nice. The wait for the food was beyond outrageous. Like, I could have walked over to the chipotle down the street. Ordered. Ate. And walked back and my food would not have been out yet. I made it super clear that I was a vegetarian and that I wanted a bean burger with no meat on it. It had bacon on it, when I asked the woman who brought my food out, she literally turned around, walked to the kitchen. After the remodel the food and service has become horrible. Just went there recently after the last time months ago when I went and waited 15mins and had no server come to our table. We saw people being seat around us and being served. We got up and left. We decided to try it out again since it had been a while. We ordered skins, they were over cooked dry as a bone even with the cheese on top, and they had a weird oil taste to it. Out main course came, we ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich, it had the same oil taste, that taste of old oil. The fries over salted as usual tasted the same. We won't be going back. read more

I can't believe so many people actually eat this garbage. Everything is frozen and put into a fryer or microwave. If it was not for the sauces they give you to mask the flavors the food would belong in the trash. It's over-priced to boot. The last 3 times I've been to this Chili's it has become worse and worse. It took 2 1/2 hours one day just to eat lunch with slow service even though the place was 30% full. The next time we said we would not go back because of sub-par quality. Finally went again after a few years and the tacos my wife had were cold with stale shells/ tortillas. The burger bites I had tasted like they were under a heat light for hours, dry and the meat was well done although I requested medium. I also was given a small amount of fries that literally cost would cost them .25 more to give me a fair amount. The only thing edible that night were the chips and salsa. Waste of money even though the manager took some things off. This being a top producing location in the country just proves people don't know what good food is. read more

My tennis team goes out to dinner every week, and the first place we always think of going to is Chili's. The atmosphere is awesome and the service is great. We always learn our waitress's name and converse with her. I shouldn't even have to talk about the food, but I will anyway. I always get the giant Southern Smokehouse Bacon Burger, which is incredible, but some of my teammates get the half rack of baby back ribs or even the delicious salads. Everything is exceptional, though. The only problem we had with it was that they don't take reservations for large parties, like us 12, and when we call in ahead of time to ask for the wait, we end up waiting twice as long. Even so, Chili's hands down is the greatest place to go to get good food and hang out with your friends. read more

The drinks are cold & refreshing & not "watered down", the food is always fresh, ripe & delicious with plenty to share, and the service is efficient, friendly and courteous.
