I was at Chili's earlier picking up an order for my wife. It took them 1 1/2 hours to make a mushroom burger people were coming in the side door that looked like one of those doors for black people during the civil rights movement and getting their orders long before me. I asked the really young girl if my order was ready about an hour and twenty minutes that I was waiting she kind of smiled and said it's not ready yet. I will never spend a dime in that establishment. If anybody I know patronize Chilis that I know I will talk them out of coming to Chili's. Anytime the majority of the employees are black, the service is shitty and the food is nasty. Look at MacDonalds. That's where I feel like I was. Upon arrival the parking lot seemed pretty busy, but we were seated immediately. We were able to browse the menu a bit before we were greeted and once we placed our food order it took about 15-20 minutes. The waiter was very nice and attentive. The mozz sticks and egg rolls were the star of the show. I was a little upset about the steak plate as it seemed to have been sitting a while, nothing was piping hot. I came here for a birthday dinner and 5pm was a great time. We were seated immediately and Em was our server. Friendly, alert and smiling. Drink order taken and delivered in a good amount of time. Food orders came out just as quick. Chicken wings were good ( buffalo and honey chipotle) chipotle fresh med bowl with added Salmon delicious, sirloin and sides, roasted corn and house salad were ordered as well. I ordered the seared salmon with rice and broccoli. What I got was a dried out piece of lukewarm salmon. The edges were tough card board consistency. When I told the server that I was not satisfied she said she'd get the manager. Another server who identified herself as the lead server came to the table instead telling me that the manager was too busy to talk to me. I calmly expressed my disappointment and soon the manager did come . I told her that the salmon was not seared as described in the menu. She then said "We don't sear salmon." I asked why then is it offered that way on the menu. Her response"I don't control what's on the menu." Then she huffed away from the table. Chilis has always been one of my favorite chain spots. The drinks are always good and the food is typically pretty good. The honey chipotle crispers had always been my go-to with that tasty corn on the cob they have. Also, the chips and salsa is always crispy and fresh. Also, that staff and manager understand when customers are inconvenienced when having to return due to their lack of details. Chilis has really came up from the previous year. We recently went her for lunch and I had the Nashville mozzarella sticks, sliders and honey chipotle chicken strips. Everything was tasted really good. The drinks however was a bit water down so I won't get those again but I'll be back for the food. Ordered a steak Philly sandwich and fries for someone and ordered the chicken rice bowl that they have on the menu for myself. The lady who said they all wear hairnets did not have on a hairnet and two other young ladies, did not have on a hair net. The young ladies said "We don't go into the kitchen". Although they went into the kitchen to get the manager, and apart of their job is to grab the food from under the hot lamp to bag the orders once the food is ready. We ordered the infamous Southwest Egg Rolls as appetizers o share but they didn't provide us with small plates to eat them on. It also came with ONE Jello shot plastic cup with lid serving of the dipping sauce for 6 rolls. After we were done dribbling the insides of the egg rolls on our shirts and using napkins as a plate, our waitress put our used dishes on a neighboring empty table which was starting to look like a junk yard for Chinaware. Our salads were brought out and the Caesar Salad looked like it had lettuce from when Julius Caesar was alive. It was half wilted and half fresh but drowned in dressing. I was so glad I ordered a garden salad and not that! The runners brought our entrees out. The plate felt pretty hot because even one guy gasped as he let the plate go. My steak was fine on the medium rare cook I asked for. My loaded mashed potatoes tasted like buttermilk biscuits disguised as mashed potatoes that wae reheated in the microwave topped with cheese with bacon and scallions thrown on at the end for flare.. But that broccoli was clearly the frozen kind and possibly microwaved (mushy and lack of vibrant green color). Oh and they gave me my house red wine in a shot glass because they "didn't have any wine glasses". It was not the experience I was hoping for but sadly felt like we have to settle for these days. I picked the margarita, lime chicken meal. The server in curbside - was someone who provides excellent service! I can't say that about all of the staff just this particular one that works curbside! The young man is always pleasant and professional! I checked in before the meal was prepared. It came out hot. Everything looked amazing. You'd get better service with DoorDash than you would actually going to this location. That says alot seeing how DoorDash literally just drops the order off. We entered the order online went to go pick up the order,parked and waited for an employee to bring the food. They never came out. I called the number to inquire about an eta, the lady on the phone basically said "we backed up soooo"...and that was the end of the conversation as she either doesn't know how to use the phone or she decided to hang up on me. What's the point of curbside service if you gotta go inside to get your food?? Once inside the young lady (could be different than girl on the phone) had a dry attitude but tolerable I guess. The big issue is how I observed the manager speak to a door dasher. He was rude, and condescending. The gall to say to someone who's waited an hour to pick up food that "I can't change the past, now what?" Especially to say that to an older person who obviously has DoorDash as a side hustle. Sidenote: still had to wait for my food once inside, by this time this was past the pick up time frame. I then finally decided to go in and when I went in I spoke to a girl working to-go and I gave her my name and she went right to the to go rack and handed me my food. I finally received my order only because I went in even though they were suppose to bring it out to my car. The food was cold which proves that it has been sitting for some time. I then asked to speak to a manager on duty named Damon ( 5-12-24). when I spoke to the manager and told him the situation he then told me "oh she probably just forgot" and asked me if I would like to wait for them to fix a fresh meal in a nonchalant tone as if he's just brushing this under the rug. He made clear he didn't care. The manager told me he cant change the past. They had no respect for their costumers time. they showed no concern. The costumer service is poor. the fact that I chose to come to the chili's located on 13901 new halls ferry road Florissant MO, 63033 out of all the restaurant I could have gone to, just to wait longer then what I have already been waiting benefits me none. I lost time and all the manager offered was to keep me waiting longer after already waiting there due to their mistake of " forgetting about me" even though I called multiple times. But we have been here 3 times in the last like 2 months (don't ask), and the food and service has been literally fantastic. The last time we went, I had to stop the manager and compliment & inform him on the service we had been receiving at this location. I seriously asked our server if they had underwent another round of customer service training or something at this location!
